I will reupload with a better photo in a few weeks. I've got to flatten this for the show.
There's hidden text up in the corner that reads:
We touched very briefly.
I broke it off.
Things were going so beautifully,
but I am afraid of real happiness.
It's inevitable that any 'I' statements made in artwork would be attributed to the artist, but that's not how I meant it here. The narrator is one of the figures. We all know at least one person like this and, while they're often accused of headgames, I think their irrational behavior more often stems from confusion rather than malice.
Then again, there are those who make a sport out of breaking hearts.

I understand this way too well.
seriously, it hurts.
Wonderful piece, nevertheless.

I know of a few who went through this kind of thing...very beautifully done.
Fuck, that's beautifully done! I love the streaking at the bottom too. The fur texture is impressive as hell anyway, but yeah...gorgeous little piece.
I am loving all of these so much. Wish I had money for this, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
This, and the words you have written with it, is stunning.
Just, fantastic. Love the detail, then the way it runs. Impressive.

Beautifully and emotionally done. <3 The color choice is perfect - some people might call it stereotypical, but sometimes, you have to go with a classic. It is truly a dark blue moment.
Very beautiful piece. All of these you've been posting are very moving.
But with this one, I've been there... its been like 7 years now since we were together, but still occasionally think 'what if?' and I think about him often and hope he's okay and happy.

Wow. This is incredible. How large is the paper you did this on?
Hmmm lemme think.... It was a piece of illustration board. It's being blotted right now so I can't go measure it but uh.... It was large. Maybe 17 by 13? I know I'm going to measure it and be WAY off and get embarrassed ha ha ha.
I got a print of this while I was at FWA. This is still, I think, one of the most powerful pieces of artwork I've ever seen. I love it.
Beautiful and touching. It boggles me how people can do so much detail with watercolor.
