~Yilares
Yilares is was a traditional artist who prefers graphite to paper, but doesn't draw much. Constantly in thought and feels driven to better understand the natural, unnatural, and metaphysical universes as well as anything that can be perceived. Yilares has decided to write this in third person for some reason, should probably sleep, and also has chosen to keep people guessing as to gender.
Yilares is an herbalist who has for the past number of years gained much knowledge and understanding of herbal medicine, incense and aromatherapy. Recently, Yilares has decided it's past time to showcase those products offered, especially the custom, unique smudge sticks and stuff.
An amateur alchemist, Yilares tries to quantify and numerate observations and structure what is perceived.
Prefers to draw from nature or incorporate a wild intensity into drawings and a whimsical power into writings.
Icon by the talented CulpeoFox.

Update: Covid edition!

Hello! Let's get this out of the way: no, I don't think I've been infected. I've spent an even greater amount of time inside (although a quarter of my year was inside, with friends, out of state).
I do have a few photographs I took this year that were excellent enough to upload, I just have to actually do it.
The last quarter of this year has been spent in an unfinished house, which was first unfinished by a leaky water heater, then by a demo crew which took down a water damaged wall, then another demo crew which removed my kitchen. About a month after they took it a way, I got a stove and sink back. The shippers handling the new flooring have suffered some sort of snafu (probably disease related) that might see me into the new year with bare concrete. It's an inconvenience, but also a distraction. Eventually I'll get some order back in here, and at least I'm back to cooking for catharsis.
In other news, a particularly dry winter so far. It's enough rain to convince some things to bloom, but others have simply died. Also, someone is changing my garden! I've spotted a few plants that have had stems tipped, and one that was cut to the ground. I'll concede that the plant this was done to could benefit from this type of maintenance, but I was observing the plant for its behavior when that would normally not happen in the wild. More importantly, this was done without the consent of the homeowner. I'm rather peeved about this. It could also explain why a few other plants died. Stepped on, chemically treated, improperly trimmed, I do not know. I wish they would have discussed this with me before-hand. So I could either convince them not to kill my pets, or at least do it properly/compensate me.
I'll be watching with interest, to seize on the opportunity to share flowers with you all! Be well, stay safe, and be as healthy as you can be.
