A Day I've Dreaded for a Long Time

Well I've come to a point in my life where I've had to make a difficult decision. I'm in my 6th year as a school teacher. This job has had challenges and rewards, ups and downs, days I've enjoyed and days I've dreaded going to work. I never complained about pay because I knew when I went in what I was getting into. I've learned so many life and socials skills that will forever be with me. With that being said, on Monday I finally turned in my 2 weeks notice. I've found another job working as a machinist for large machines. Anyone who knows me knows that mechanical work and working with my hands always brings me a sense of satisfaction that I just wasn't getting with teaching. I honestly believe it's time for me to move on. I'll still have the option to return to teaching down the line if I want to, but at this moment I just don't see that happening. I'm sure some of you might have questions or concerns and I'm more than happy to answer them. I hope to continue interacting with all of you. You've brought me happiness in ways no job could.
