Yakima Washington: 

Often called the 'Palm Springs of Washington' or 'Yakivegas' or 'Yaki-crack' by the locals, it sits in the center of Washington State nestled amongst rolling hills of sagebrush, farmland, and orchards. 



Oh. And it sucks. This tiny, rural, redneck town seems pulled from the bible belt of the central and southern United States and plopped into the center of one of a clearly liberal and democratic states. 



Then there are the locals. The gun-toting, tractor-driving, no-teeth citizens of Yakima may be the ones we notice, but there's more to the town than that. Yakima has its bright sides. The scenery grows on you, and we make some damn good wine. And you know those famous Washington apples? Where do you think they come from?? The town has its down sides, but hidden amongst the big trucks and the confederate flags are the few, the proud, the Yakifurs. We stand tall and proud, our tails wagging as we romp through the orchards and roll in the dandelions. 



(All this is entirely tongue-in-cheek. Actually, Yakima has grown on me and its not a bad town.)



This group has been created to bring together the few and far between furries of this Washington-desert town. We encompass furries from Cowiche, Wenas, Wapato, Union Gap, Naches, Tieton, Selah, Sunnyside, Yakima, Zillah, and even Ellensburg if they wanna come join us.

Hey YAKIMA FURRIES

One of our fellow Yakima Furs is talking about a fur meet.

I haven't heard any of you guys bouncing around this page for a while now, and i understand I haven't been very active. Been super busy arting my little furry heart out and working a TON. :D

If you guy's are still around, shout it out! Who's cool with a furmeet sometime this summer? Just trying to get a feel for the vibe of our fellow Yakifurs, see if any of ya'll are still out there. I'm getting married in July, so doing a meet in August would probably be our best bet. A bit of a 'back to school' special. XD Derp.
