So, who am I? Well, the name's Skips. But you probably knew that already. That's my name and my fursona's name. I'm an aspiring artist who currently attempts to draw in my free time from school work, if I can ever convince myself to actually put pen to paper...or tablet. Right now I'm focusing mainly on anthro art, but I'd like to do more than that one day.

I'm a Floridian, and a Panhandler at that, but I've moved around when I was younger, which has fostered a love for travel and culture. But, my heart will always be in the South. Currently looking for a job to go along with the degree I just got, because as of 2014 I graduated with a bachelor's in Software Engineering. Truth be told, though, I'd rather be an artist. So, I'd like to use that degree I'd get to pursue some more creative careers, be it video games or movies or what have you. I'm generally a shy person. Have trouble meeting new people or making friends. However, I love chatting and hanging out with friends. So do forgive me if I don't thank you for a watch or favorite, but I'm usually open to making new friends.

As for things I like to do, there's a few things. I consider myself a road tripper. A seven hour car drive sounds like an adventure to me, and I love traveling to new places. Seeing the world is something I'd like to do one day, but I know that's just a pipe dream. Video games are one thing I have a passion for. I mostly play on my PC or PS3 or PS4. I'm not the most hardcore gamer, and I don't game often, but I love what video games are, and I like appreciating them from an artistic standpoint. I mostly play single player games, and when I do play multiplayer, it's when I'm playing with friends. Some of my all time favorite games are Journey and Grim Fandango, so that might give you an idea of what sort of games I like.

Speaking of art, I am a fan of it. Used to make pottery a few years back, but stopped since I no longer have access to a pottery studio. Lately, been attempting to teach myself to draw well to varying degrees of success. My biggest obstacle remains myself, my lack of confidence, and my lack of discipline to actually sit down and draw something regularly. Here's hoping one day I'll get past that, and I might actually learn something. Aside from that, I like taking photographs with my phone. Mostly of things like plants, sunsets, interestingly lit things, and my cats. Those things are generally what inspires my creative moods to begin with. Known about the fandom for years now, and though liking anthro art a lot, never really got into the fandom. That is, until I finally got around to making a fursona back in the summer of 2012, and over the course of the following year started drawing and getting art of my character and even went to my first con, and now I'm looking into fursuiting in the future. So, I'm pretty much a furry now, and I don't really think I'd want it any other way. In gerneral, I like the fandom.

King Cheetah | Male | 22

My main fursona. A character created by me, with the help of a friend, and what finally got me to start getting into the fandom. Essentially, he's just me as an anthropomorphic cheetah. Cheetahs are my favorite animal, so that was why I chose that as my fursona. No real deeper meaning behind it. But that's also why he shares the same name as me. He's a representation of me. And sometimes, I will actually talk of him like he actually is me. But, I'd say he's a bit more outgoing and playful than I am in real life. Still though, he's me and I'm him, and I don't think I could ever have another fursona.

A character created by Fable at AC 2013. I commissioned a character design based on my personality and how I look. So, irony would be that A.B. is more appropriate fursona than Skips is. He's a fantastic character, and though he isn't really my fursona, I'm glad that he's mine. I hope to make use of him in the future, either by drawing him or getting more commissions of him. As he and Skips are both based off of my personality, the two characters have similar personalities. So, to differentiate them, I consider A.B. a more folksy representation who can actually play the banjo. Because banjos are awesome.

African Wild Dog | Male | 27

A character created by Eisenheim and put up for auction back in the early part of 2014. That was the first and only time I've participated in an auction for anything here on FA, and I don't plan on participating in any more because that was way too stressful. But I had to win this character. As soon as I saw him, there was a connection. My mind started creating a background and stories for him. At the same time, I felt like he represented a part of me that I never really express. A wilder side, of sorts. I guess it's fitting that he's a wild dog. I managed to win the auction, and thus I have my first canine character. You can read more about him on the commissions of him I've uploaded. He's a great character, and he's pretty much become a secondary fursona for me. Which is great.

TMI Tuesday, or my just taking the furry trash quiz

1) Been in the fandom for....
Um...I say I joined the fandom proper the day I joined this site, so almost 4 years now! But I had my sona for a bit longer than that, about half a year more or so. So, a solid 4 years is a good estimate.

2) Found the Fandom how?
Hmm. Well, it was when I was on dA, and I was quite the fan of transformation stuff and also dragons, so you could see how that could lead me to finding furries. Brushed them off a solid few years before finally admitting to being a furry myself.

3) Chose your species [because]...
cheetahs were literally my favorite animal at the time.

4) Why/How did you choose your name?
Because I'm actively shit and can't think of anything better than my middle name.

5) If you had to change species what would you choose?
Oh, man. That's, like, really tough. I'd say either African Wild Dog, Caribou, Bear, Otter, Pine Marten, or Dragon.

6) What percentage of your friends are furries?
Hmm. All my online friends are. None of my irl friends are. I'd say roughly 50/50, then?

7) If you've been, favorite furry con and why?
Oh, man...been to AC and to Megaplex. But I think I have to go with Megaplex. If anything, because Florida. And because I was way too new to the fandom when I went to AC, and I'm actively certain I pissed off everyone I went with....sorry.

8) Got a fursuit? If no, why?
No, because ClockworkCreature takes forever to open...and because honestly I'd like to lose weight before committing to a suit...and I hesitate to get one because I know I'll be shit at it.

9) RP'ing is: Fun, Not my thing, A good way to blow off steam?
It's fun and a good way to blow off steam!

10) Are you open about being furry, i.e. if it comes up in conversation?
Hmm. If asked if I'm a furry, I won't deny it, but I won't just volunteer the information if it happens to be the subject being talked about.

11) Gay/straight/bi?
Okay, I've had to do a lot of soul searching for this one, and honestly, I think I finally say with certainty: yes.

12) Ever kissed another furry?
Never kissed another person. Except, like, familial kisses. But, like, kissing someone? Never done that.

13) Do you have adult art of your fursona? If yes, pose your favorite.

Well, there was a something I had when I first joined the fandom. It didn't last too long though. And never met them irl either.

15) Opinions about murrsuits?
I would love to have so much money that I actually think it a good idea to risk getting bodily fluids on my fursuit. That'd be great.

16) Do you have a kink related to the fandom? If yes, post the one you're most open about.

So, I guess that means Telegram really is the de facto messaging platform for furries. Huh. Anyways, I'm in a NSFW TF chat. That's the one I'm most active in.
