Things can only get better

So I've had a lot of time to think and I'm actually pretty glad that I'm not in that relationship anymore.
Long story short, it was very unbalanced against me but I had too much faith in us to seriously consider backing out. Now that it's in the past, I can see clearly that there's a better future waiting for me.
I'm still sad that things happened the way they did. In an alternate universe, we could've had a wonderful future together. Life is a little scarily uncertain but I'm looking forward to finding myself completely and making new friends.
