An artist from the frozen north with too many hobbies and not enough time.

I have been drawing off and on over the years since I was a little kid. The interest of drawing was instilled in me by one of my oldest friends who pushed me to better myself and himself in turn. While my drawing time has waned considerably in recent years my love of art has not. Years of collecting how to's and other drawing books has led to a massive collection of study material and unending inspiration. There are a great many artists on this website and others that I give thanks to for the wonderful inspiration of their amazing art styles.

For years in my drawings I had in a way been scared of color. I hadn't access to digital tools and was terrified of ruining my drawings by miss coloring them. With that I dove into grayscale and shading, learning to "color" with graphite, blending sticks and a simple eraser. Years after I am now armed with the tools necessary to tackle proper digital painting and my fire has been re-lit. I look at the art of those that I admire and think to myself that is what I can achieve, this is my goal.

Thus my journey continues, posted here will be my art from before to recent, shown only to good friends over the years. They are rather rough, proportions and perspectives will be off considerably on some but they are my reminder as to where I have been and what I need to improve on. I welcome any and all criticisms and tips on improvement, I have a long ways to go but I will get better.

For those that have made it through this wall of ramblings I thank you for your time. I look at what I post here as not bragging but as a way to share what I have learned somewhat. In seeing these scribblings, if even one person gains inspiration to pick up a pencil and create something wonderful then this has all been worth it.
