post graduate internship
I suppose I've delayed long enough in annoucing this, so here it is. I recently graduated from medical school and now preparing to undergo internship for 1 year. What this means is that there is uncertainty with my schedule, but it will most certainly be more busy than what my previous workload was in the years prior, with me spending more time on duty in the hospital and whatever free time I get is likely going to be spent studying, or recovering from what I expect to be physically and mentally demanding workload.
What this means for commissions, which have already long been limited during my time in medical school, will be even more impared for an entire year and more as after internship, I'll be studying for the liscensure exam for a few more months.
Whatever commission slots that could possibly open up will most certainlu have an extremely slow progress at best, if I am even able to accept them at all.
An important factor to consider would when asking about commissions would be the complexity and content of your script. If I am to accept commissions if time and conditions favor me, I will most likely gravitate towards ideas that are simpler to do, or which I think I find more relaxing to work on rather than being an added stress. So ideas that consist of single pictures, or small comics, simpler character designs, or an idea that I myself enjoy quite a lot as well, would more likely be accepted.
I hope that once I get past these challenges, more free time will become available in which I could be able to take on commissions with a reasonable pace.
