Information on the Calypsy Race:

During the Summer Solstice of the Hundredth Year, the Calypso Comet crashed down onto the planet Aspryu's surface. Landing in the Calypso Valley, it caused quite the alarm of the inhabitants who soon ventured to the crash site. As they reached the craters edge, they were stun to have found not only the space rock, but living space beings. They had been born from the comet's space dust and seemed to be guarding the comet. They noticed the other animals and shifted their forms before everyone's eyes, resembling more now our own neighbors than the night sky if it had a form. And they never changed back, not even once. They remained loyal to those new forms.
They were charismatic and friendly. They were shown to be fast learners and had an energy about them that made most others welcome them into their own homes. The dragons themselves grew fond of the newcomers and welcomed them to remain on Aspryu as long as they liked. That was our first contact with the Calypsies.

Now, they have been pretty thoroughly integrated in Aspryu's ecosystem. With their unique ability to change their genetic material around, it allowed them to be able to successfully mate with nearly any species with reproductive organs. A pure breed Calypsy is rare to see, but it is suspected that some still dwell inside the Calypso comet. However, no one was allowed to be near the comet as Calypsies guard the territory and convince you not to go near their old home.
