The fact Im making a journal should imply how serious this is. Its mostly because this is pretty big news for me and Id rather just make this journal for everyone to keep in the know rather that copy and paste to people I know on skype or twitter.

Those of you who know me know my dad was involved in a serious car wreck by an 18-wheeler who didnt see him about over a year ago. We're still waiting to hear news on the lawsuit, but it sounds like we wont hear anything for another couple years. Either way, because of the physical and mental trauma my dad suffered, he hadn't been back to work at either of his two jobs (he's a paramedic for those who dont know. One job on the chopper, the other in the ambulance). We were still getting money from his chopper job because he had been there for a long time and so we had the benefits.....that ran out a while back. The ambulance job was technically part-time, so we were cut off from that income immediately. He was eligible for disability, especially since he's now been diagnosed with PTSD....buuuuut that disability money has ran out too. Eventually my dad finally went back to work on the ambulance and has been for the past several months. Well....its been doing more harm than good for him, and he's coming home a nervous wreck often, so it seems like he's going to be quitting.

Now my dad is going to try and get on federal disability. Here's the problem, even THAT is going to be enough to make ends meet, and my mom only makes $600/mo working at her church. That said, my parents are seriously considering selling the house and moving out of CA over to New Mexico to live with my aunt (mom's sister) who retired a while back and has been living alone since her husband passed away several months ago.

So where does that leave me? Good question....I have 3 options

1) I move with my parents. I would REALLY rather not. I know no one in New Mexico, first off, and Ive needed to get away from my family for years because of my sexuality and other reasons. For the sake of my sanity and freedom, this is least favorable

2) I find 3-4 other roommates and make ends meet in the house Im currently staying in (and the house is NOT payed off yet). My name is on the house, so there's no issue there. Problem is, where the hell am I going to find 3-4 other TRUSTWORTHY people to room here? All my local "friends" (specifically my non-fur friends) are either impossible to contact, flaky, or take advantage of me as a convenience. Hell, some of them are still taking classes. This option doesnt seem practical

3) I move elsewhere...ok, its away from my family and I dont have to deal with my supposed friends. Like this idea.....but where do I go?

Everything's just been coming at me at once this year. My childhood cat passed away in June, all this crap is happening and we're just getting more and more dirt poor, and now my other childhood cat is having issues. I have no idea what to do, but I have to make a plan, and sooner than later.
