I'm Hal, I'm a writer, and I am open for writing commissions!

That said, a few things to note:

My rate is $10/100 words. This works out to 10¢ per word. I will charge half up front (so I'm not working for nothing) and half upon completion to the commissioner's reasonable satisfaction. I may permit payment in multiple installments for particularly long works. Keep in mind that the creative process for writing is different from that of visual art, and so my progress on and turnaround times for commissions may be different from what you are used to when commissioning a visual artist.

I am willing to write stories of any relative length, but bear in mind that longer stories will require more time, and I have a minimum of 400 words. I need projects to be worth my time! Excessively long stories may be broken into separate volumes.

I will try to provide a reasonable estimate for how long it will take me to complete a work. I have a busy life and cannot focus solely on my writing, so I will try to be realistic about my expectations. If for any reason I am unable or unwilling to finish a piece, I will provide the option of a full refund if less than 50% of the agreed work is completed. If 50% or more is completed, I will send my existing draft, edited to the best possible quality, and not issue an invoice or charge for the remainder of the project fee. For longer works (5k words or more) the commissioner may request to review intermediate drafts. For works below this length, I will present one complete rough draft and the commissioner may request minor changes or edits before finalization.

I am NOT willing to write:

Sexual acts involving non-sapient, non-sentient living beings
Glorification of hate symbols, hate speech, bigotry, or abusive behavior

For things not listed here, determinations are on a case-by-case basis, so please ask.

I am willing to write anthro, feral, or anthro x feral content, provided all involved parties are clearly depicted as sentient, sapient, and willingly consenting.

I do not give consent for my work to be used to create, promote, endorse, glorify, support, or sell NFTs, cryptocurrencies, speculative internet tokens of any variety, or any related concepts, media, or objects actual or digital.

I reserve the right to refuse any and all commission proposals or requests, and to terminate my work on any current projects, subject to applicable refunds.
