The End. And the Future!
Hi there.
It's been ~3 or so years since the last post here, and I know that's been frustrating for fans, GMs, and agents. I would like to give a deep apology for not at least keeping people updated. I tried showing some of those issues in 2016 but even after schooling cleared up I just let it go to the wayside.
Here's a bit of what happened- first there was the schooling, where I took 2015 off to focus on that, and into 2016. That would have been fine, people seemed on board with that, but then nothing else happened. It turns out that for a while, I had lost the files for the 2014 season because the laptop they were on crapped out. Now good news on that front, I have the files again so that's at least fine.
So the loss of the files and the life issues essentially lost mental momentum. I've got some issues there that are being looked into but it sometimes results in a big lack of momentum even on projects. That's not an excuse, merely just an explanation.
So though this isn't entirely needed- there's some decisions that were made in the last year or so. The FLB- unfortunately- is a finished project.
But there's a fiery phoenix in this tale of ashes.
Last year, as you can see from some of the comments on old posts, there was a project that was starting up, the Federal Furry Baseball League. I was trying to migrate the assets there as some of the people involved with GMing here were starting that up, but that seemed to blank out.
Which is why I was happy in January to see uflb starting up. I'm not sure if that was a reworking of the FFBL or what, but I have officially been in the works with the Commish there to merge the FLB assets with them, which was received enthusiastically. They've been active in their Discord and I'm very confident we'll get the 2019 season off the ground right on time. I'm not going to end up the commish there, just helping with some background in merging the FLB stuff over, and from there I'll be a GM and help out as needed.
The storyline will go that instead of a strike in 2015, they were able to avoid one barely, but it put the FLB on severe monetary issues. They shed players and were barely able to hold the 12 teams together when it folded completely in 2018. Where the UFLB storyline goes is being determined, but they are interested in reviving teams from the FLB and the process is to carry over (with their agents' agreement) most players that were 30 or younger in 2014. We have at least two teams that are being carried over so far and over 200 players in the potential works; it's very exciting to see the assets being used again. I simmed the last four years and will post the final awards and playoffs at the end of this joural for people interested.
If you have questions/comments as a former FLB player agent, GM, or even a fan, Please contact the Commish at uflb. They'll be happy to get in touch with you, and we can always use the new interest. (Note: Though the UFLB and FLB will be considered to be in the same universe, nothing is in absolute- if you feel that you wanted something created for FLB withdrawn from the carryover please let us know, I have never been the sort to hold onto things ruthlessly! We would just like to know sooner rather than later so we can make sure it doesn't cause a hiccup.)
Thank you very much for your interested in the FLB and furry sports in general. It may have been a small community but it was still a hell of a ride. I'm looking forward to the future, and will always cherish the past.

As discussed, here is the awards and Furry World Series winners from 2014-2018. I don't believe I ever posted the award winners in 2014. After 2014 I didn't list the Rookie of the Year awards since those would have been computer generated players. It's interesting to note that between the two years played in 2013-14 (NOR and CHA respectively) and the final four simmed in 2015-18 that we didn't have a repeat winner! (PDX won in 2010 and CHA repeated in 2011-12 as previously simmed years.)
