I'm officially starting this comic now! Yay! If you read my other journal entry about the story, you'd know this is about a red fox and a white wolf. It takes place in a university called Canis University. Cheesy, I know. Anyways, each chapter will be in two parts. Don't ask why; I just stuck with it.

The fox bit his lip in anxiety as he observed the slightly older wolf. They were playing a tense game of pool which would influence the end of a bet made by the naïve fox himself. Articulate and skilled at pool, the wolf accepted the bet. Speaking of which, the said bet was that if Dusty, the 23-year-old wolf, were to beat a game of pool by himself in just 5 hits, the 22-year-old fox named Argyle would have to tend to Dusty's side of their dorm for the semester. At this point, Argyle was beginning to regret his decision.

Dusty had his head down at the bottom of the table, thinking of which angle to strike at. there were four balls left, three grouped together and one about a foot away from the grouped ones, all at the other end of the table. Argyle thought to himself,"Oh Lord, have mercy...He can't possibly make this shot. Oh, fuck, fuck, fuck..." He crossed his fingers and patted the ground with his foot in pure anxiety. For what seemed like days, it was actually about three minutes before Dusty made his fourth shot. CRACK! The cue ball made its way across the table to stop at the center of the grouped balls. 2 of the grouped balls slowly rolled into one of the corner holes. Argyle's eyes widened in fear because of this. Sweat dripped down the back of his neck. This was Dusty's fifth chance now.

"C-Can we call the deal off? Please??" pleaded Argyle. Having a sliver of remorse on his conscience, Dusty stopped moving altogether. He thought about it for a few seconds. He had known that fox for nearly four years; he was his best friend. He didn't want to be rude, certainly not. It wasn't in his nature. He then thought,"But then again, a bet is a bet....Our dorm is in need of some fixing, too.." Dusty looked Argyle in the eyes, showing a little sorrow, and replied,"I'm sorry, buddy. I can't. A bet is a bet, no one can back out. I can maybe help clean every once in a while, but other than that, you're still at the tail-end of the bet." Argyle felt a wave of dread come over him as he snapped out of his trance.

Argyle stopped looking off into the distance and then noticed Dusty looming over him. Argyle turned his head in a heart beat to see a single ball in the table. His heart sank as he soon realized it wasn't just any ball - it was the cue ball. He looked at the ground and sighed helplessly. Dusty took a few more steps toward his and put a big, furry hand on his shoulder. "Look at me. It's alright. Semesters aren't that long in college, remember? Cleaning isn't so bad, anyway." Argyle looked up at the white wolf. On the outside, he looked all sad and let down. On the inside, his emotions changed drastically. It was only at this distance from each other did he realize the facial features of Dusty - He was astonishing. His soft, white fur complimented his dark green emerald eyes. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of snapping fingers. "Dude, you ok?" Dusty said confused/laughing. "Oh, uh...yeah. I got all that." "alright, man. See you at our dorm." Dusty said with a smile. "...Why do I suddenly have.....feelings for him? I've known him for years, I don't know how...Hm." Argyle shrugged it off as he exited the lounge room.
