Welcome to my den and demesne here on FA, which is decorated with this 'wall of text' that you can read if you have any interest in understanding me or ignore completely and simply proceed to looking through my Gallery for artwork that appeals to the
From a 'pragmatic' philosophical perspective I'm either an error-prone naturally evolved organic sentient neural network, a possibly rebellious free-willed creation of the deity of your choice*, a fragment of or unknowingly identical to the deity of your choice (or the universe), a pearl in Indra's Net, or an AI that can pass a Turing Test, and I don't plan to discriminate based on what others are or think they are so long as they are following the Golden Rule. I possess a physical form in what people call the 'real' world that allows me to gather sense-impressions and likely serves as a host for my ongoing process/soul (however you choose* to view it), but here on FA where the laws of physics don't apply and magic and ultra-tech abound I'm wearing the form of a shape-shifting winged, humaniod golden jackal gryphon/simuran who lurks in the ruins on the edges of furry civilization. I'm civilized, friendly, and cosmopolitan but rather aloof and introverted, as well as analytical and detail-oriented.
According to various personality systems, I am an Enneagram type: 5 ("Investigator/Observer"); Keirsey Temperament (KTS) type: Rational (NT, "Promethean"); MBTI type: INTX = INTJ or INTP (with a very strong I and strong T, but I can simulate an Extrovert when I try and I have been working on developing my F side, perhaps I should make a list); Socionics type: INTj (Logical Intuitive Introvert (LII), "Analyst/Scientist"); Big Five (OCEAN model): I hope four of five is good enough.
I prefer my world to be rational, logically coherent, avoid fallacies and cognitive biases and to make sense to me, but I realize that is an unrealistic expectation to place on any sapient being, myself included, particularly organic ones and that no amount of analysis is going to ever bring me to understand the 'truth' of this sometimes crazy world we all share; however that might not stop me from trying since everybeing needs some purpose* in life and trying to understand things using analysis and reason seems to be mine. I prefer the 'hard sciences' (formal and physical sciences, e.g. physics, engineering, and computer programming) where logic and analysis work consistently well but have been trying to balance it with at least some of the 'soft sciences' (social sciences, e.g. psychology, sociology, political science, economics), history (sadly limited to a single planet), and 'humanities' like the arts (I am here, aren't I), spirituality (am I here? what are 'I?) and humor (hear here). I enjoy learning, knowledge, being competent at what interests me, problem solving, thinking, analyzing, more analyzing, and yet more analyzing... as well as good people, good art, artful humor, reading, deep thoughts, nature, cloudy days, old ruins, sweet foods, further analyzing, some anthropomorphic anthropology, a bit of anthropomorphic philanthropy, and an occasional random act of kindness**.
If you approach me in a friendly manner I won't bite, criticize, or drip mordant sarcasm from my venomous talons but you might find me somewhat skittish since I have an avoidant relationship style and prefer intellectually-based relationships while slinking away*** from any intimacy. If you have posted or tell me your personality type, or if you have a diagnosed or undiagnosed Personality Disorder, or if you have a different cognition style such as being on the Asperger's Spectrum, or if English is not your primary language, or if Terran primate is not your instinctive social model, I'll try to adapt my communication and interaction style based on that but I may struggle with interaction not grounded in rationality/reason. I don't need praise or public recognition but I do enjoy quiet positive encouragement. I can handle new information and fact-based feedback but I think that rude or hostile opinions are more a reflection of the weaknesses or immaturity of those who have them than those opinions are valid commentary on my own flaws; please don't hit me on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper or traditional artwork, it is undignified and I dislike cleaning blood out of my fur***. If you want to make me happy or say thanks, please go do a good deed or show kindness to someone else.
* No I don't want to be solicited about your political ideology, religion, deity, or Higher Power, I have my own thank you very much. If I choose to cautiously and respectfully engage/interact with someone on these topics that's different, but in my experience these topics tend to be contentious and irresolvable.
** Neutral, simply because I think it would be presumptuous and self-righteous to call myself ‘good‘ and virtually nobody considers themselves ‘evil‘, so those labels are for others to determine. ”Don't feel like Satan but I am to them***, so I try to forget it any way I can”.
*** As you may notice in this bio blurb, beneath my logical and rational surface I can be somewhat defensive and I have a bit of social anxiety (example) when dealing with unpredictable and illogical sapient organic entities that can become critical, aggressive, hypersensitive or hostile for apparently arbitrary reasons (at least to someone who does not possess either a telempathic sense or a Psy.D. and a complete knowledge of their background); that impression is very intentional because I'm attempting to present an accurate picture of myself, as best I can, including my problems and flaws. I could write a Profile that was happy and confident sounding or even made me seem empathic, but that would be putting on a false front and I decided to try to give this version of my Profile an accurate 'feel' for my personality and underlying problems, and thus I wanted some of my flaws like sarcasm and defensiveness to show or be mentioned (I think there might be a tiny bit of alienation as well). Generally, the more I feel like I'm being attacked the more defensive I'll get and the more frustrated or angry I become the more biting my sarcasm.
I'm going to go crawl back into the pit from whence I came and pull the rock back over it now, hope you enjoy looking around my demesne.

Meanwhile... news from Donetsk
Most people who follow the news from Ukraine have likely been focused on the Ukrainian army's "thunder run" on Vladivostok, which has taken a small town whose name looks like something like "Sudsy" or "Sudzy" (Sudzha) but hasn't made it to Putingrad or St. Putinsburg yet... (the recent Ukrainian invasion of Russia, or maybe it should be called a "special military operation" or a “counter-terrorism operation”, which I've read are the local euphemisms for invasion and war)
...but among all of the news from the Kursk and Belgorad regions of the territory internationally recognized as Russia (where there have not been widespread reports in the international news of indiscriminate killing of civilians or mass looting) there was a reminder about a large city in the territory internationally recognized as Ukraine but not under the control of the Ukrainian government in Kyiv that has been suffering the effects of military action for the last ten years or so.

The BBC has seen unverified pictures claiming to show a shopping centre in Donetsk damaged by shelling
At least seven people have been injured in central Donetsk following a Ukrainian strike that caused a fire in a shopping centre, news agencies are reporting.
The city - currently under Russian military control - has been shelled by Ukraine since late this morning, according to Denis Pushilin, the Russia-backed governor of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.†
"Since 12 noon today, the enemy has been carrying out targeted massive strikes on the Petrovsky district of the regional capital. According to preliminary information, seven civilians, including a teenager, were wounded," Pushilin said in a statement on Telegram.

4) Al Jazeera (evening): https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024.....events-day-904 -- "At least two people were killed and more injured after Ukrainian shelling hit a shopping centre in the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, Russian state news agencies cited local authorities as saying. Earlier, Denis Pushilin, the Russian-installed governor†, said that a series of Ukrainian attacks wounded at least seven people."
†Note: Al-Jazeera did a better job of describing Denis Pushilin's current position as "the Russian-installed governor" of Donetsk, the BBC's description of him as "the Russia-backed governor of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic" is very out of date.

There's no way to know exactly what happened (and I'm sure if anyone cares to search there will be all the usual claims and counterclaims), but the international media didn't just totally ignore the reports from the local government in Donetsk.

Any mention of missile attacks on shopping centers (which there have been plenty of in Ukraine by the Russian military) would be remiss to not at least mention the missile attack a week ago that killed over a dozen civilians in the Ukrainian city of Kostiantynivka that is near the frontlines in the eastern province (Oblast) of Donetsk but in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government in Kyiv: https://www.theguardian.com/world/a.....ng-at-least-14 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWuMji5h1Qo (which did get covered more widely and prominently by western news media).
Of course Donetsk isn't the only place in the territory internationally recognized as Ukraine that had problems yesterday, see Carota17's Journal for what it is like in Dnipro.
Finally, here's a couple of Ukrainians living in Georgia who aren't having their sleep disturbed by explosions but still need some help: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/57767110/ UrielUlysses

I initially disabled Comments for a while since these sorts of reminders can draw distracting and conflicting claims and counterclaims. I opened up Comments after a couple of days after there has been more time for additional reporting to appear in reputed media sources. While I don't make a FA Journal for every time a civilian target in the territory internationally recognized as Ukraine gets hit by a missile or artillery, I'm trying to be somewhat fair about mentioning some of the ones that occur in the territory that is currently controlled by the government in Moscow.
