My Story...
(Note: This Story is being updated and saved in Real Time: As my memories return, I will update it and perhaps reorganize it to flow better with my untangling thoughts. If you are interested in following it, please check back occasionally)
According to what I've been told, I was brought into being out of my hosts love for another entity, known simply as Fuzzwolf:

(The Artist who rendered this image is known as Paracelsus)
Fuzzwolf was a character with whom my host interacted with at length on a text-only online community called FurryMuck:

My hosts love for Fuzzwolf was great, however it became apparent that they would never be able to be together. As the remake of the movie "Lost In Space" had then been released, my host was inspired to create me after hearing the line "Mom always told me to make new friends".
Physically, I came into existence at the end of 1998, following what is described as a very interesting "Birth", if you will. I was brought into this world with my primary materials being Duct Tape, Foam, Neoprene Cement and Fur. Dressed in a red top and shorts, My host then showed me off in several venues that next year: Further Confusion in January, ConFurence 10 in April, and The Furry Room Party that was held during Comic-Con in San Diego.
It was shortly after these events where I started to gain my sentience: My host had noticed new feelings that were not explainable, which only happened when we were together, especially the want to do things that were not of my hosts normal behavior. After searching the then nacessant Internet to try to explain these feelings, my host then came across the FoxFire Webcomic, drawn by David Gonterman (pen name Daveykins Foxfire). At the time the Foxfire strip had been around for a year, however its already developing storyline helped to exemplify what my host was feeling when we joined. Although the original storyline appears to be buried somewhere, it seems to be in the process of being remade:
