Commissions??
I've decided to take the plunge and open up for commissions again, and as before, I'm going to be doing things differently from most people. Please read all this junk.
Important Information
What I will draw:
- Anything, with some limits
Those Limits:
- Up to two characters
- Simple background at most
- Only one drawing per commission (This also means no comics)
- Whatever other limits I suddenly think up later when someone asks me to draw a robot transforming into a sports car and I realize I really don't want to do that
Pricing:
- Pay what you want (Note: This doesn't mean free)
- Payment accepted via PayPal
- Payment will be due when I've made enough progress that I am confident I will finish the drawing, and you'll have a good idea how it's going to look
Why pay what you want instead of a set price?
Multiple reasons. First, I hate pressure. Not having a set price means there is no expectation for me to meet a certain level of quality. If I draw something the commissioner thinks is shit, they can just pay less, and hopefully not feel bad about it, and not have any sort of buyer's remorse.
How long will you take?
WARNING!! My commissions in the past have taken anywhere from a few days to complete, to well over six months. Art is a difficult thing, especially for me. I can get stuck, unable to finish or be satisfied with a drawing even if it's something I -really- want to draw. It happens, it's one of the major reasons I'm uncomfortable doing commissions, so I want to make sure you guys know this up front. There is a chance I will tell you I can't finish your drawing, even if I've shown you good progress on it. Also, I have a tendency to want to draw personal art a lot, and I'm sorry, but I don't make a living from this, so my personal art just might come before commissions sometimes. Or all the time.
How will you choose your commissioners?
So, I hate first come first serve, because all the people I want to commission open up, get filled up in five minutes, then close before I ever even see they were open, so I won't be doing that. I'm sure I won't be that flooded, but still, better safe than sorry. Basically, if you want to get a commission, send me a Note on this site (or a DM on Twitter if you don't have an account here) containing a description of what you would like me to draw, and any reference(s) you may have for the character(s) involved, if any. After about 24 hours or so, I'll pick one to start on, and others will be placed on a waiting list.
