Long time no see
So a lot has happened this year. I'm slowly making my way back to posting art again after such a long time of not being able to. It's been a while and I forgot just where it all started.
Laptop: But, due to technically difficulties it was very hard to get art done. It kept getting glitched out and I didn't want to deal with that. And with limited funds, it would be impossible to get a new laptop so fast. However, later in the year a friend blessed me with a new one and it moved me to tears.
Sickness: Sounds the mid part of the year I fell very ill. Thankfully it wasn't covid, but there were a lot of things I had to go through like the stomach flu, constant migraines, and because the lack of meds ( green ) I had constant migraines, lack of sleep, and many days where I just didn't want to eat or i felt very sick. The stomach flu ended up taking over all of august and september.
Eviction: Around the time when I finally got better, was the same time that we got hit with an eviction notice. 4 Days beforehand, there was a fire thanks to a dr*g add*** turning something on and going to bed. The door was deadbolted against the landlord's knowing and the cops and firemen had to practically liquidize the door at 2am. There's a darker story to this person but, she lived directly underneath of us and i happened right underneath my bedroom.
Thankfully, no one got hurt and nothing was damaged besides the lady's own place. She finally got kicked out despite our years of pleas due to a lot of terrible activity that left us fearing to go outside. Anyways, we got served a letter as well as everyone within the building to vacate the premise in 30 days, which meant we had to be done and out by Halloween. We couldn't get a hold of a house until the very last minute on the 17th. It was very hard to hear back from anyone. Even the landlord we used to live under ignored everyone's emails, calls, letters, and text except for a couple times during the entire month.
BBRents is terrible with business and doesn't do anything when you're in trouble, so I highly suggest not to go to them if you're renting. We live outside of our city now, but in a better living space. It's twice as expensive and sadly, there's a ton of small tedious fixer upper things we have to report, but it's a place to live.
Conclusion: I'm settling down now, trying to rebuild what self esteem I have lost since then. I was going to the gym, therapy for emdr, and even trying to save up for a car and it was all thanks to the owners for their poor negligence and decision to kick everyone, and yet over all this year was the worst for the roommates and I. Pretty much almost all of them wanted one tenant only, no pets, and that's it. Including the apartments where we used to live is having no pets as well. It was all pretty hard during the pandemic. We didn't move in until recently because we had to wait 2 weeks after we were officially out, to move in to the new location because it was far from done. Thus, we stayed at a friend's place until then.
I'm doing a bit better now. It's a slow recovery, yet doable. I'm just emotionally exhausted at the moment.
I'm going to do my best to get things back on track. It's the end of the year, but I'm glad we are living in a better place; give or take.
