Long time no talk, I know it has been a while. This has been a very hard year for us. A lot of death has happened in and around my friends and family, so it was a very emotionally draining year. A lot of really crappy thongs happened, so I'm ready to move on to next year!
But good things happened too. We moved to a new home that is much better for us and our long term goals. We have the option to buy should we choose as well. I got a new job that pays better and provides amazing insurance. Working with my horse Atlas has also gone exceptionally well this year and we are beginning to get some consistent rides in.
We are having a lot of downtime at my job right now, so I was looking to take on some commissions to fill in that time. Our work flow is going to be picking up in January, so likely will only be taking commissions for a few weeks to a month depending on how busy work gets.
I am keeping my prices the same right now while I pull together some newer examples of my work, and will have new updated prices probably early next year.

It has been a while since I did a life update, and I wanted to inform you that after this Sunday, I will be opening up commissions once more.
I will be taking limited slots every month, and when my commissions go live, I will have a form to be filled out to submit your commission. Your commission may not be accepted due to my TOS, or if my commissions for the month are full. Otherwise, you should be able to get the commission you are looking for :)
As far as life goes, I have been licensed as a real estate agent, and I am not a private contractor of Iowa Realty. This means I am essentially self-employed, I simply answer to a brokerage to make sure what I am do is legal and within code. Otherwise, I choose when I work, how I work, and anything else surrounding my real estate business. Which is pretty great. But, real estate can be a big feast/famine job, and I will only be working like one day or two at a "normal" job. I want to be able to be mostly if not entirely self-employed by the end of this year, so doing both real estate and art is a nice way to provide consistent income, while continuing on my dream of working in real estate.
Plus, I really want to spend more time drawing. I miss it and I want to get better. That won't happen unless I draw and I push myself.
If you have any questions about real estate, please let me know! If you live in Iowa and need someone to help you buy or sell a home, I am more than willing to help~! If you live in another state, I have a lot of connections to help you find a great realtor in whatever city you are living, or moving.

SO I am looking to get myself licensed for realty here in Iowa, but the licensing is quite expensive. So, I am gonna be putting together some adopts and YCHs to help pay for that, and I will also be offering flat color full body commissions for only $10 until I get all my licensing finished.

Also, I quit my full time job at Wells Fargo. It was far too much stress, and I didn't enjoy people yelling at me and calling me a bitch and telling me to go to hell every 10 minutes just for trying to help them. I was becoming a very nervous person, and I don't normally suffer from anxiety, I was having heart palpitations, and having nightmares. SO it was time to leave.
I do not plan on returning to taking commissions, but I will start doing art more frequently again and posting more often. Hopefully that will be nice for those of you who have continued to follow me through thick and thin <3 I thank you for your support.

I may occasionally do adopts or YCHs, but I will not be doing commissions. They are just too much stress on top of my job.

this past Tuesday I woke to a text to call my mate immediately when I got the message. I gave him a call and he was crying, and when I asked what was wrong he said our friend, his best friend, Joe, had died. We have both been trying to manage grief, my mate especially, as Joe was his best friend. We have been attending ceremonies and seeing mutual friends during this time, but life has been very crazy. I have found a new job and have put in my two weeks at my current job and been filling out paperwork for my new job, all on top of grief counseling for our friend. Life is crazy right now -sighs- I am doing art as I can, but it holds very little interest for me right now honestly, so I will get it done as I am able.

Just a little update for those waiting on art from me. I am sorry for the current delay, I am currently working on finding a new job, while still working my normal job and doing my classes. So anything that isn't dedicated to normal work or classes I have dedicated to job-searching and going to interviews. It has been very exhausting, especially with several employers for pyramid scams getting hold of my resume and asking me to come in, and holding an interview, and then not finding out until the end that it isn't a real job and they are pretty much just wasting my time. Waiting to hear back on a few jobs, and I have contacted a few contractors to look for jobs for me, to take the stress off of me. But, I am still stressed with finding a new job. My current job is a mess and I am overworked and underappreciated there which makes me very stressed. I had the worst flare-up of my migraines in a long time last night thanks to the stress, and I just want someone to give me a job so I can stop searching and I can make a move to the next chapter in my life.
But yeah, life is a mess here. On top of normal life stress things going on, this stuff is messing me up and art is really the last thing on my mind. I will get it finished, and I have time to work on it this upcoming Tuesday and Thursday, but it's just getting stressful.

Big News!

Soooo it looks like in the next few years (probably 4-5 years) I will be looking at purchasing my mom's house! x.x EEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I'm excited and scared, and also really nervous. Owning a home was something I didn't think I would ever be able to do, let alone so early in life, and mom has a nice but small condo that would be perfect for my first home.
BUT, this also means saving up a lot of money for a down payment, as well as having some money in reserve to buy some basic furniture after mom has moved away. So, I am thinking about doing art on top of my normal job since they will not give me fulltime right now. And, I want to know what kind of things you guys would like to see? Would it be adopts? YCHs? Basic commissions? Physical merch like pins and charms? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?!??
All proceeds over the next few years are going to pay my few bills for subscriptions I pay with PayPal or to be placed in my savings account for the purchase of my home someday. So if you wanna help out, just let me know what you wanna see, or share with friends so they can watch and support me and maybe buy some stuff down the road! I have like 4 years to save up, there's no rush. ;)

Hey guys
So my main computer, my gaming and work rig, which I built with the help of SterTheDer circa 2012, has finally decided to die. She is pretty outdated and I have been meaning to get her upgraded for a while now, but this has forced my hand. Upgrades and repairs will cost around a grand, and I will unfortunately also be dropping around a grand on car repair next week as well. Car repair of course comes first, and since arting on my laptop is difficult at best, you probably wont be seeing any art from me until my main computer is repaired which will likely be a few months.
I look forward to drawing things again when my computer has been repaired.

Changing submissions, no longer doing art

I am slowly converting all submissions in my gallery to either mature or adult due to the new TOS rules, so that will be taking place over the next few days. If you are a minor and are no longer able to see my art, I do apologize. I cannot risk anymore warnings on my account.
Also, I will likely no longer being doing art, at least no more YCHs, commissions, or adopts. I will probably post art that I have done for friends, personal pieces, and the like from time to time, but I have just picked up a second part time job, and I simply no longer have the time, and art is simply not worth the money that it pays at my skill level. All my art will continue to be view-able on this site, but I will be more or less AWOL from FA from now on minus the commission pieces I have on the backburner I need to finish as well as some personal pieces now and again when I feel like it. Or art from other people. But, the furry fandom doesn't hold much draw anymore, so I will likely be stepping away from it.
It has been a fun ride guys. Thanks for all the fun memories.

So, recently I got a note from FA saying several of my submissions that were marked as general were not, and were changed to mature, and my FA account now has a warning on it. These submissions were all feral pieces of male characters that had the outline of a sheathe. Nothing sexual at all, but a feral sheathe, such as in this submission here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20425871/ I believe this is unfair, as there really is nothing "mature" about the pieces that were being marked as such. I am always very careful about the ratings I give my pieces, and I was sure to give them what I felt complied with the site's rules, and what would be accurate to what the art piece depicted. Nothing in the pieces that were changed needed to be labeled as "mature".
I submitted a ticket to try and have this corrected, or at least have the warning removed from my account, but it has now been several days with no response. This will be my second time trying to contact FA support staff for help, to no avail. I do not honestly believe there *IS* any support staff here, which makes me sad, because a lot of my base for selling and making my money as an artist has come from FA
So, I might try to build my following somewhere else. Does anyone have any suggestions? Twitter? I hate DA so I would rather not go back there, it's to big and no one bids for anything there. Is there any furry-centric sites that aren't FA that are emerging? I would love to move to a more stable site. If not, I may give up on the furry fandom entirely. I have honestly not been feeling it for a while now, which is upsetting because I finally have a partial of Sinclair and I am paying off a fullsuit for Zephryna.. Blah maybe I will sell the partial and just keep Zeph's suit as a keepsake.
Just not feeling it anymore. Real life is calling and furries don't really feel like a part of it.

Well, I haven't drawn in a while, and decided I should do that thing again.
I have one commission I need to finish before I start any new commissions, but if I really settle my but down over the next few days and do it, it shouldn't take too long. So, if anyone is interested in a cheap commission, send me a message. I am willing to do some PWYW commissions to get back into the swing of drawing. I have a kinda big bill coming up and Im a bit low on funding right now, so any commissions would be appreciated :) Or spread the word!~
Ill probably do some adopts in the next few days after I get that commission done if I get no new commissions so you can keep you eyes open for that. :)

I was able to purchase Hidalgo's tack back. Money will still be tight, but I am back on schedule.

So, I was pretty confident that I wasn't going to take on any commissions for a while since I wanted to focus on doing my own personal thing, and art for friends, but something has come up.
As some of you may know, my horse Hidalgo passed away in September, and before he died I was forced to see him to someone else. I was informed that the new owners are neglecting his beautiful custom tack, and when I visited Hidalgo's grave the other day and checked the tack room and looked at the tack, sure enough, the tack was being allowed to fall apart and was in complete shambles..
It was highly upsetting to me that his beautiful tack was allowed to fall apart like that, so I contacted the owners.
After some very rough interactions with the owners, I was finally told they would sell me the tack.
... For $1000.
I DO have the money, but it would wipe me clean, and I am paying for college by myself right now since my college financial aid has still not come through yet, and the owners have refused to do time payments on it.
My mother has offered to help pay, I get paid again from work here soon which is a nice reassurance since I get paid 3 times this month, and financial aid should be coming to my bank account soon.. But spending this big of a bill makes me very nervous.
