Things can be more difficult and painful these days than before, i find it helpful to bring awareness to the times where things are good or there is peace, to refuel me for navigating through life. so so many people always are asking me how to make my pants or where i got them
most of my clothes i modified myself tbh, and some shit i just made myself fully
a lot of my accessories i either bought from independent artists or made myself or were given by friends that made it

i love diy shit and i'll give some basic pointers here, tho you're welcome to PM me to get more info or resources!!

SO i'll preface this by saying, please don't buy clothes made by large companies that are meant to look "handmade" or "poor"
this really just feels like you're shitting on the entire concept of like the creativity in making your own clothes, and also shits on poor people to achieve a "look" with only financial gain rather than hard work and experience
but if you aren't able to modify your own clothing for reasons like mobility issues or you don't have fine-motor skills then its totally fair, but then i'd just reccomend to buy from independent artists instead or asking other friends into diy to help you, so big companies aren't taking advantage of diy and punk culture for profit

aswell as do some research into the clothing you like, although it might seem like just clothing to you for many people their shit was so decorated cause it was the only clothing they had, and were forced to use safety pins to keep it together because there was no other option. Not taking into account the cultural impact of clothes disregards their experiences and lives and just seems very selfish.

but ya modifying your own clothes can take a lot of effort, especially for things that require a lot of handsewing, ive had my crust pants for 5 years now and am just constantly modifying it with probs like 30 hours of handsewing in total haha
I rip em open in the summer to allow more air flow, and patch em up again in the winter to keep warm, so i wear them like 90% of the time haha

just do some research into ways to modify clothing
like adding fabric, embelishments, ripping shit up, sewing straps on or whatever that are things you enjoy

keep a notebook of things you want to do and plan out and research how you'll achieve that
like im not fucking paying some "alt fashion" company 40$ for a pants chain when I could just go to a hardware store and buy some chains and clips for less than 10$
at least then i know where the materials are coming from and who made it

gain inspiration from independant artists that put a lot of dedication into their work, though do not replicate it the exact same way
steal from large companies trying to profit off of subcultures they got no business being in, fuckin staple a shirt together

i dunno doing shit myself and making unique things is very close to my heart and i been doing it since i could choose my own clothing haha and I greatly encourage others that want to to explore it too!!

I thought of a cute idea of chibis that would be like limited and for the best holiday haha

Also cause i wanted to complain about this but
I stretched my septum piercing to 6g yesterday, ive been stretching it for a year and half now
stretching it yesterday was one of the worst pains of my life, even crying a bit
but im so happy i was able to get through it omg, and once it heals fully and all i'll put in my new black captive bead ring and leave the size at that lol

and the pain is only really bad for me because i don't have a "sweet spot" for it, it was pierced through cartilage for me
which makes stretching it extra painful, but still safe
im surprised i was able to get this far lol, but ya i don't think the next size would be doable for me honestly

so my tablet broke, again
and i kind of didnt do any art for about two months at all, tho im back in it again now but only traditional art that i post on my twitter bunslikeatruck (18 only, its typically sfw but ya im v personal on there so only 18 )
