On the loop from apartment to laundry facilities to mailbox and back the resident Jehovah's Witness family was heading to their vehicle. They had a preteen girl with them, to pass out papers like always. When she looked over at me and was greeted with a smile and friendly 'hey there neighbor' wave the elder male was heard saying:

"No, ella es una bruja."

Apparently they took the first half dozen hints lol.

Baby Elizabeth joined the world's ranks. A teeny but healthy thing at 6 lbs, 4 oz and gaining rapidly she has been a truly easy keeper so far. She is decidedly the last child I am having thanks to a sterilization and I am electing to keep her photos exclusive to Facebook *and* those who request them emailed to them. (feel free to request FB account info) Sadly there has still been no paternal contact but I am at the understanding it is the way things will be; the saying is 'it is what it is' and I stand by that logic.



Pretty little girl, what an exciting gift indeed.

No jokes, the local print shop is 'not comfortable with the material' of the art I want for the cards...print shop in Houston says they'd not be done until the 20th because they've got a backlog.

Well, in 22 hours I'm to be at the hospital, surgery is slated for 8am...wow, can NOT believe it's honestly almost over. As always, my phone will be with me and YES there will be photos uploaded but they will be going onto Facebook as I can load to there from my phone much easier.

In the offhand chance you want to reach me, email/Google chat is the answer OR text messages. If you do not have either and want 'em feel free to note but UNDERSTAND that my gmail info is my FA username so that's a simple enough part :)


Today's plan? Just enjoy the day. I soaked in the last bath I'll be allowed for at least a month and am planning what to have for dinner before I have to go NPO(no food/drink) at 8pm..

You know a town is tiny when the hospital denies an 'elective' section the day after Thanksgiving because the hospital will be on-call ONLY for L&D lol.


Back to the 28th we are, still at 8am sharp. Mercy.

So, even though my local ob IS allowing me to vbac we have set a NEW date for a c-section. Poor Mom is catching MASSIVE amounts of flack for taking time off for my birth since she recently returned from her FMLA because of my stepdad's death and to make things AS simple as possible I have a new date set for Liz's birth, in case I do not go into labor on my own.


Am I pleased? Not 100% but there really isn't anything more important then Mom, even if it means sacrificing my 'natural' delivery.

T-minus 10 days folks, holy hell!

Well, still no home-based internet but the cell carrier change HAS made it so getting online is pretty easy. Life is so different here, so much slower! There is a great horned owl that roosts in the backyard and takes off after a pretty little dity, the side lot has been cleared and we're fencing the whole place soon, yay! My hens will be here this time next week after I make the drive up to collect my pension check, so exited!

Enough typing by phone, hope everyone's well :) Houston folks...I'm just north of Conroe!

Alright folks, operation 'honey, badger don't give a shit' is underway. The move to Mom's starts THIS morning and I'll be back up here in a week or two to move the last bit of stuff and again for the Tyrone(criminal case, last bit from work) bullshit. Things are mostly settled at Moms but the internet capacity BLOWS so I'll be offline for a bit. Text messaging reaches and the phone is hit-and-miss on what it can pull signal wise for internet/voice; probably going to have to change carriers because Sprint has NO coverage...their own maps show 'roaming' and nothing else. Everything is looking beyond rosey, just putting a 'be back' posting while Jacob has his pre-drive bath, I get coffee in my system and the cats get used to their carriers before I take the computer down to pack it up.

Wish me luck folks, this'll be a wild(but potential-filled!) ride :)
