Posted 7 years agoI don't post very often at all, but I wanted to let you know what type of art I do. I can't draw or paint or make fursuits. But what I can do is make lights do fantastic things. I create a 96 separate circuit light show. 'Twas the night before Fur Con, when all through the house
All the creatures were stirring, including the mouse;
The wine glass was set on the table with care,
In hopes that Uncle Kage soon would be there;
The furries were cuddling in each other’s bed,
While visions of Bad Dragon danced in their head;
And 2 with his sun glasses, and I with fur cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a bat,
Tore open the shutters and stepped on the cat.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,
With a lonely driver who was filled with rage,
I knew in a moment it was the white mage.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, Fayroe! now, Paradox! now, Oddy and Paul Legman!
On, Pandez! on Koji! on, Takoda and Abrahm!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and Alkali, too.
And then, with a twinkling, I saw on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney FizzOtter came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his badges were tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of lights were hung from his pants,
And he looked like a raver just ready to dance.
His lights -- how they twinkled! his strobes were bright!
His lasers and fog, lit up the night!
Crafty Andy was there to capture the show,
And everyone danced to make the night glow;
Then out from the cold came a knock on the door,
While opening it up there really was more;
He was a very big man with a tall black hat,
He said, “Next line,” or something like that.
He was vulgar and loud, and jolly himself,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to work,
He improved everything like a big jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

A Friend who helped others needs your help!

So, my best friend's son has Cystic Fibrosis, and needed to go see a specialist, who was a 4 hour drive away from us. I offered to drive him and his family over. We made it to the doctor, my friend's son is doing well. On the way back, my transmission failed an hour away from home. We made all the arrangements and such, and made it home safe.
My family and I drained our accounts and had enough for the transmission itself, but not enough for the installation. So, to help expedite the process of getting the only car we have back on the road, I'm opening up commissions... Help me get my car back on the road. =3

Posted 13 years agoI attended my first furcon in the fall of 2010. I was a bit nervous and scared of what I would find, but now I wish I would have been going to furcons all my life! The first one was MFF, in Chicago, 2010. That one got me hooked and the next one was FCC (Fur Connection North), 2011 in the spring in Novi, MI. That one was even more awesome, as now I had made more friends and met more people.
In the fall of 2011 I will once again be attending MFF (Midwest Fur Fest). I love getting badges made and finding dragon art prints that catch my eye! If you see me at furcons, I am usually wearing a Utilikilt. I don't have a fur suit, and probably never will as that doesn't interest me to have one. At MFf you will usually find me doing door guard checking, so stop by and say HI.
