Happy New Year! Or, new years...? It's 2025 and the shtick is a little tired- we've been saying this for at least 2025 years now!

First, a huge shout out to my close friends for all of the advice and empathy. Last year could have looked a LOT different without you.
I also want to thank the people who have contributed to me financially. I appreciate your trust in me, I hope my content is to your liking!

Note on content:
In terms of my content within the next year, I plan on taking a step back from NSFW and commissions compared to 2024.
This doesn't mean a complete lack of content. It just means I won't feel completely obligated to post something every 2-3 weeks.
Perhaps every 1-2 months, at the most.

Note on commissions:
Story and art commissions for clients are on my to-do list. If I learned one thing about life, you don't f*ck with other people's money.
I will make sure any promised commissions are dealt with, but I will most likely get too busy to open anything else.

Note on conventions:
In terms of conventions this years, I have plans to attend Megaplex 2025 as returning staff. I do not plan to attend FWA unless someone helps me out financially.
Fur suits are extremely expensive. If I do have some spare money, I would love to get the parts and just work on building a head and tail myself.

Note on communication:
I like to reach out to people and start the conversation. However, I may have trouble finding more time to expand or continue said conversation.
I am still interested in a conversation, but as you'll learn about me, I am extremely mood dependent.
Do not think I'm angry at you or holding a grudge if I haven't chatted in a while. I am probably just extremely busy, physically exhausted, or socially exhausted.

Personal note:
I need to ask myself more often, "what is the legacy I want to leave behind?"
Over the years, I've been embracing the SoftBee title on the internet and even IRL.
I need to be more careful, so I don't necessarily know how I plan to move forward with NSFW content over the next few years.
...What if I grow my presence online and become a minor celebrity? What if people IRL know about the NSFW content I post online?
Will it affect my professional career? Or, will the new generation understand that being NSFW in my free-time is normal?
Regardless, I won't have the luxury to shop around for jobs.
I don't plan on up-and-deleting all of my content randomly. However, this will be something I will have to consider more moving forward.

Good evening everyone!

I'm heading off to University! <3

On August 7th, the surgery to fix my wrist was successful and I am steadily recovering! I took my bandage off yesterday and I am typing this update today!
(Today is August 13th)
On August 20th and 21st, I have my last doctor appointments- hopefully I can get some answers about my condition by then. The colonoscopy and endoscopy came back healthy, so... I guess we're back to square one. The US healthcare system is broken.
On August 23rd, I'm moving into my new apartment! It's a decent place from the pictures- I plan on sleeping in a sleeping bag and yoga mat for the first few weeks until I get some real furniture ... if I somehow get my loan disbursement by then. The US loan service system is broken.
And... on August 28th, I'm driving to Orlando to attend Megaplex 2024. I'm really excited! I hope to see everyone there! Sadly, I wasn't able to get my fursuit done- a story for another time.
I am also hoping to enter a work study with a professor in my major. It's going to be a great experience (but, sadly, experience alone doesn't pay the bills).

This month is getting really busy.

On the content side of things...
I am very happy to say that we've managed to update Miel for 2024! I am hoping this reference lasts me a long, long time. I am very grateful for the outstanding work done by   Reinkorn I highly suggest people support his work!
Regarding Romeo, my robot OC, I am currently working with   Undeadkitty13 to bring my vision to life! I love how undeadkitty draws masculine robots, I know she will do an incredible job.
I have a few smut story projects started here-and-there, but nothing to post at the moment! I'm hoping to work on some stuff more this week, but I will most likely wait till I move in and get my living situation established before committing to any large-scale projects.
I may have an occasional art piece posted for the next few months- I will try to keep my commissions flowing!

I graduated college and got my A.A. However, that does not mean I can rest!
I start university in August, and... it has been really busy. It feels like there are 20 hours in a day.

So, what does the near future look like?
1. Looking for a new job. My current boss is extremely abusive, randomly cutting my hours and threatening to fire me. My financials are currently stable, but I'm not saving 'anything' for university.
2. Getting my health in order. I have an undiagnosed condition that is dramatically impacting my health. I have several doctor appointments every week, and it's honestly draining. I'm hoping I can get it diagnosed and start receiving treatment so I can focus on other tasks.
3. Having fun. I want to focus on my hobbies again. I want to roleplay and write smut. I want to create a script and edit funny YouTube videos. I want to play video games again and hang out on call with my friends.
4. Getting back in shape. I recently lost a bunch of weight, but there's still a lot I need to do. I have about 30 pounds left, but exercising is difficult because of a debilitating cyst in my right wrist. My surgery is scheduled for August, which will (basically) wipe me out for the entire month.
5. Figuring out loan stuff. I have a 75% scholarship for my first year, and I am currently appealing the state to get an extension for my final year 2025-26. Apparently COVID isn't a good reason for why I couldn't utilize my scholarship in 2020. Currently, the tuition and textbooks alone should be roughly $30,000. What kills me will be room & board, which is expected to be another $30,000 . My subsidized student load doesn't even cover $20K, so it's looking like I will need to take out a private student loan of around $60K. This, frankly, is terrifying. I ended up not joining the military; I wish I could tell my old horse friend.
6. Updating my characters for 2024. I do not need new references every year. However, I feel that there have been enough changes with Miel Abejorro, among other characters, that a new reference is justified.

I lost an entire update. I'm currently writing it again. Pain.

Infested, A Memoir actually isn't my first smut about parasites.
(Working name) Miel's Gift From Space is about Miel becoming infected with an alien parasite which reproduces in Miel's body.
This story experiments with a bunch of different ideas: perspective and awareness.
What if the symbiotic "parasite" alien wasn't able to communicate with the protagonist?
What if we got to see the parasite's point of view inside the protagonist's body?
What if the protagonist is ignorant and blissfully ignores the growing abnormalities with his body?

My goal is to establish a connection between the reader, Miel, and the parasites. *This is very important*
If you can't empathize with the characters in the story, you aren't as invested in the story.
How do I get the worms in Miel's mouth? Well, he loves tasting his precum...
What happens if the parasites run out of nutrients? Simple, they look for more...
What if the parasites have everything they need? They focus on repopulating and expanding, like any creature...

This new story takes my kinks into a new direction. However, it still retains the kinks that everyone loves about other popular parasite fiction on FA.
I was thinking of gore but without the blood. Systemic bodily invasion. Infesting the *entire* body.
A new perspective on corruption. A new perspective on transformation.
My goal with this story is to innovate and change this kink for the better, hopefully inspiring a new wave of parasite/infestation content on FA.
Big goals, does my story back this up?
I usually don't get turned on by my own work, and ... well ... I've had to take several breaks, I'll say that.

Finally finished the fall 2022 semester and I'm currently working on old story commissions.

For my upcoming short story, let's meet one of the characters!

Meet ... George, 58 (He/Him)
In the story, "A Fire Reignited", we follow the character Third as he helps George rediscover his sexuality.
George is a divorcee with a body like an Olympic swimmer and a heart of gold. Growing up during a period of prejudice, George was afraid to be seen as different. Dating was difficult, and a rushed marriage was only a bandage for his heartache. Romantic relationships with women were challenging and never as satisfying as his relationship with his best friend. After a messy divorce, George became disheartened. To save money, he sold his house and took an offering to become a 29YO's roommate. Third is the protagonist of the story, becoming more and more invested in his relationship with his older roommate and helping George rediscover his passions. Their relationship turns from friends into lovers when libido spikes and pheromones spread, giving George a new outlook on life and helping Third discover the love of his.

This is no longer realistic! If you haven't checked the news, central Florida got wrecked by Hurricane Ian and life hasn't necessarily returned to normal. School is backing up and we aren't getting any days off because of the hurricane. This projected has been temporarily paused till either November or December, whenever school dies down.

Regarding the rest of the story, I am (as of right now) currently working on the outline for day 7. The last outline will be relatively barebones compared to previous sneak peeks. I'm taking four classes at community college with a job on the side to pay for tuition that isn't covered by scholarships. With this heavy time investment, I overestimated how much time I would need to finish the rest of the story.

The story WILL be complete before November.

Also, I've begun to work with   SER to create another story revolving around his character Prince Vexx. A few kinks you can look forward to are sexual frustration, hyper-growth, extreme pleasure, and excessive cum/precum.

Q: What is "Infested, A Memoire"?

A: "Infested, A Memoire" is a story created by me, SoftBee. It's a written journey of a young bee joining the royal army and dispatching cases of a novel hivemind infection spread by parasitic worms. After voluntarily infecting himself with the parasitic worm, Miel undergoes bodily changes as his system transforms to better suit the hivemind and help spread the infection to other hosts.

A: This story has a heavy emphasis on the mixing of horror and pleasure, kinda like how a character that is meant to look scary instead looks sexy. Consent is a big thing for me; while the idea of being rapidly infested by slugs and worms sounds pleasureful, I believe non-con should be out of the discussion. Consent will always be present with the main character(s) in some form within my stories. Here are a few ideas for stories I would like to work on in the future, along with art that I wish to draw and art that I wish to have commissioned

NSFW Comic/Fanfiction Ideas:
Helminth, Microscopic: Some character, most likely Miel, encounters a microscopic worm. This worm invades Miel and begins to take over his body. It's a medical thriller that incentives losing control and embracing the role of host. This journey takes place over a period of at least 2 weeks, showing Miel's mental stability gradually deteriorate into insanity as he transforms to better suit the parasite. Some issues that I currently have while creating this story include, how am I going to introduce the aspect of growth? Will Miel eat a lot, causing growth, or will he magically grow? To better understand this issue as the reader, a note about myself is that I genuinely like creating medical plausibility using junk science. Could a reduction in sperm cells cause the pituitary gland to send more hormones, causing growth in male sexual tissue? This is just one example of turning something impossible, such as ball and cock growth, into a realistic scenario- which is the kind of realism I so desperately want to obtain in my stories. I want there to be smut in this story, but I also want to flex my anatomical and physiological prowess in the process.

How I Got Infested, A Memoire: A fantasy medieval story about a knight who is forced to destroy a village to save humanity. The worm hivemind has been attempting to kill the protagonist, probably Miel, along with the rest of his party. After setting ablaze to the village and killing all of the infested people within, the young paladin Miel finds a burnt, weakened worm still alive. He swears he can almost hear voices coming from the worm. After becoming infatuated by the plight of the hivemind, Miel allows the tiny, weakened worm to infest his body. Miel grapples with the slow transformation in a thriller as he tries to conceal his status as the new vessel for the parasite. What kinds of powers will Miel get? How will Miel's body change to better suit the parasite? How will Miel take over the city?

SO YEAH, so far I only really have parasite stories, but that's because my favorite kink at the moment is infestation. There are more ideas out there, but these are the most fleshed out at the current time.

Why I'm making the review:
I've finally beaten TLoU2 on survivor difficulty- my second playthrough. I loathe and enjoy the game at the same time. There are many reviews online hating on the game because of the story, giving it a very low score on places like Metacritic and the Ph.D. youtube comment section. My voice is important because I've been a fan of the game/series since its preview at E3 in 2012. I've beaten the original TLoU on my PS3 (PlayStation 3) either 3-4 times, I've found all the collectibles, I've bought the remastered edition for the PS4 (PlayStation 4) and played that twice, completed the DLC "Left Behind", played TLoU2 for roughly 50 hours on two separate playthroughs (one on normal, one on survivor)... suffice to say that my voice holds more weight behind it.

Why I'm posting this review on FA:
Why are you reading this review on FA? This isn't just a porn site for furries, dummy. This is where I hold a platform, albeit small.

Background
The Last of Us is one of the best games ever created, the emphasis is on the story. The gameplay oscillates between stealth, a casual stroll through the environment, heart-pounding gunfights, and tear-jerking emotional moments. For real: I cried probably 6 times playing the original game.

The gameplay and story are centered around two people for a majority of the time: Joel and Ellie. Joel is an Austin, Texas man who, before the outbreak, worked as a carpenter taking care of his daughter, Sarah. A single father, the beginning of the original TLoU started the player back in 2013 (when the outbreak starts). Spoiler alert: Sarah is killed by a soldier in a scene that will ALWAYS make me fucking cry. Twenty years past and Joel is an older man, between the ages of 45-55. He is a smuggler who works with a very strong woman named Tess in a military-occupied quarantine zone in what was Boston, Massachusetts. (Skips Robert story) Joel meets 14-Year Old Ellie (yes, born during the outbreak) and is tasked with taking her across the USA to create a cure (it is later found out that Ellie is immune to the parasitic fungal infection that turns humans into zombies. Stuff happens and many people are killed at the hands of Joel and Ellie. Spoiler alert: when it is found out the Ellie must die to create the cure, Joel decides Ellie's life is greater than finding the cure to save humanity. Joel tells Ellie a VERY big lie and she trusts him. Game ends.

In the next game, the player takes control of two characters: Ellie (who is now 19-Years old) and a new girl named Abby. The game makes it obvious that the characters are different, yet similar. They both have pregnant allies, they both are hellbent on revenge, and they both are strong female leads that the community typically doesn't see in gaming.

The reason why the community doesn't like the sequel (TLoU2) is mainly due to the story.

I will say this now: you will not enjoy the game if you've played the original TLoU game.
You may enjoy the game if this is your first experience.
This game is NOT for everyone.

The Problem (Spoiler Alert)
The problem is the story, specifically regarding the character and ambitions of Abby. The player is forced to play as her (NOT DLC) for roughly the same amount of time as Ellie (roughly 10 hours).
Why is Abby so hateable? She tortures and kills Joel, one of the most beloved characters in gaming, without choice, literally in the first hour of the entire game. After killing Joel, with Ellie watching, you play as Ellie with a goal to seek revenge on Abby. I can understand the intentions of the developers, but it's executed extremely poorly. However, after an encounter with Abby on Day 3 past Joel's death, the player goes back to Day 1 to play as Abby. Yes- you play as the character who killed Joel. The developers intended for the audience to grow an understanding behind Abby's intention, such as providing flashbacks to show that the doctor you killed in the first game has a family. However, it fails because Abby never once thinks about why her father was killed- the reason why we love Joel's character. His motivations. It gets worse when a year after the main story, the plot of the game gets thrown away. The reason Ellie wants to kill Abby is due to the fact that Abby tortured and killed Joel, her father figure. So, imagine why people hate the game when Ellie spares Abby. The player isn't given the choice- which I believe would save the story.

The Setting (Spoiler Free)
Just as amazing as the first game with major graphical improvements. I love the settings of the urban environments the most, with beautiful tall grass and ferns covering what was once asphalt while vines grow on old, dilapidated buildings. Graphical effects, such as decent lighting effects (which were WAY better in the E3 gameplay footage), fog, smoke, fire, mold, dust... the look of this game is nothing short of breathtaking.

The Story and Characters (Spoiler Free)
Even though the developers try to humanize Abby by showing the audience flashbacks of her friends and family, giving her a realistic-feeling fear of heights (that activates when looking down from a high place), having her optionally play with her 'government-subsidized' dog, vomiting at the sight of a friend's death... the developers simply fall short of (forcing) players that she's a good character. Giving her 10 hours of gameplay was a bad idea- I believe her story would've worked SO much better as a DLC.

Ellie has changed since her appearance is the previous game. This was done well at times and excruciating at other times. The person she was changed after Joel reveals his lie, which I thought was done well. However, I would expect Ellie to at least consider finishing the job of the previous game and attempting to find people to make a cure- a game that would have been SO much better than what we were given. The ending of the game is, as said earlier: "excruciating". I LOVE Ashley Johnson's work as Ellie and I know the story wasn't her fault.

The other characters in the game are rather bland. Tommy is decent (Joel's brother), Dina is a nice addition, Jesse is a "just okay" addition, Owen is a great addition, Mel is also "just okay", and everyone else is unneeded and/or annoying. I won't count common enemies in the character category, but I absolutely believe that these enemies are people (when they aren't aiming perfectly at my head from behind cover).

Also, I would like to thank Naughty Dog for their generally good representation of LGBT characters, specifically Lev and Ellie/Dina.

The Audio (Spoiler Free)
The sound effects, speech, and environmental sounds are almost fully realistic. There were a few complaints of stereo issues, but I haven't experienced it within my playthroughs. The music wasn't as groundbreaking as the first game. I love you, Gustavo Santaolalla, but your music/the use of your music in TLoU2 is underwhelming. Also, to whoever recorded the glass breaking sounds, bless your soul(s).

The Visuals (Spoiler Free)
Great- specifically fluid dynamics, soft lighting, what I want to call ray-tracing, and the blood. I've seen the best blood in this violent video game than I've ever seen in a violent video game. Aside from a few graphical inconsistencies and glitches, the game is absolutely beautiful. However... I want to say that I liked how Ellie looked in the original TLoU compared to her updated character model in TLoU2. It's a personal gripe, so I won't subtract any golden stars.

Blind would people probably have a better time playing TLoU2- and that isn't an ableist joke! Accessibility is tackled well in this game, giving people who have difficulties such as physical and mental disabilities additions that provide all players with the equal opportunity to play a (insert your favorite adjective) game.
In general, the gameplay is only slightly upgraded compared to the previous game. Stealth is slightly better. Enemy A.I. is slightly better. Weapons are slightly better. Weapon upgrades are slightly better (as someone who genuinely appreciates unneeded animations that enhance the realism of the game, even if scratching the pistol with a nail file doesn't do shit to help stability).
Again, there are a few errors/glitches in the game. Ally A.I. is typically underwhelming- usually standing still and doing a good job at being invisible. In all honesty, I was actually looking forward to better ally A.I. because the first game did a rather awful job having them hide. However, at least they DID something during combat- TLoU2 really likes having the player do all the work while the ally just hides behind a desk and do nothing, firing and hitting very rarely on occasion.

The Conclusion
As I said before- the game is decent.
It's a great game if you haven't played the original. It's a slap in the face and a kick in the ovaries if you did.
I hope to god there isn't a sequel and Naughty Dog is able to fix the ending. I also want Naughty Dog to inform the public what happened with the storyline leak prior to the release of the game SINCE IT SEEMS KIND OF IMPORTANT.

If I could produce commission quality art, I'd love to get into comics and expand the selection of stuff on display. My main goal with this journal entry is to kick off the creation of my FA content. For right now, this journal is meant to inform ya about my plans heading forward- getting into comics and fanfiction. The inspiration behind this project is to provide people who share my kinks with the content they cannot find elsewhere. Yes, there will be both SFW and NSFW projects. Here is a list of my current ideas:

Disclaimer: I create my NSFW content through a very simple process. I take a kink (primary kink), a complementary kink (secondary kink), and design the substance around those. For SFW content, I take a life-experience and translate it into the fiction. I don't know if I want to try and maintain a realistic perspective... it usually grounds stories in a way to help the reader imagine that it's possible in real life. Lots of research will go into human anatomy and physiology, in that case.

NSFW Comic/Fanfiction Ideas:
Primary Generation (Long-term): Sona, my dragon OC, comes into contact with my parasite OC. The comics show the evolution of Sona's infection and his desperate attempts to purge the worms from his balls. This comic is meant to be a light-hearted series in which Sona comes to terms with his parasitic infection. This will have both comedic and sexual themes. (Primary Kink: Symbiotic Parasite Infestation)(Secondary Kinks: Positive Feedback Loop - Growth, Mind-Control, Corruption, Slice-of-Life)
Natural Progression (Short-term): An undecided character is infected with my parasite OC. This comic is supposed to show how the parasite invades the host and functions within the host. It will also show the immediate effects of the parasite on the host. If there is enough support, an extra page may be created. There are currently 2-3 pages planned. (Primary Kink: Symbiotic Parasite Infestation)(Secondary Kink: Internal Body Horror, Growth, Corruption)
Second Skin (Short-term): An undecided character agrees to host an unknown fungal infection for research and has second thoughts to instead infect as many people as they can. The infection will cause the host's balls to swell and ejaculate a puff of air, the air ejaculated containing spores with the ability to infect other people. (Primary Kink: Fungal Infection)(Secondary Kinks: Symbiosis, Internal Body Horror, and Corruption)

SFW Comic Idea(s):
Coin Flip (Long-term): An undecided character can reverse back to past decisions. However, reversing to past decisions forces the character to carry through with the other decision. The internal struggle of whether to switch decisions make for unintended consequences meant to shock the reader- similar to how each protagonist in Jojo's Bizarre Adventures can find an unintended way to survive a situation. (Main Idea: Butterfly Theory)
