Goodbye Shelby my special Cat
Posted 5 years agoYes, less then 6 months later my 2nd cat is gone. She was a very special cat, and will be greatly missed. I really wish I could have done something.... She was only 9 years old.
I will be going even more silent now. Might as well give up.

Goodbye my special Cat RIP 2018
Posted 6 years agoIts with a very heavy heart that I annouce the passing of my First cat of 16 years. Sleeping in my arms as she had done for those years. She was starting to get issues a few days ago, and had to manually feed her yesterday. She was facing me in my arms and will always be remembered as a cat that would be the only one ever to sleep like that, wanting to be with me all the time, and snuggle into my arms and making me feel loved as well.
She will be loved and will always be remembered.
I am not going to be online for a while. I am sorry all.
I love you Kali (Ms.Poo)

Good Bye Mom...
Posted 8 years agoI have not been active on here for a long while. Work issues, and health issues have made me dull and numb for a while. Found out that my mother passed away this morning. I have never been that good a son, and we didn't talk much in the last 20 years, but I still loved her, and I hope she knows that. I am sorry all. This is just been too much a year for me. Don't know when I will post again.
Ramblings...
Posted 9 years agoIts been a while since I updated things. Well 2015 started out crappy and it continues.
I going to be making a life choice(s) soon it seems. How things go from there is anyone's guess. Right now I am stagnant and going no where. Need to get out of this hole I am in. How it happens is anyone's guess.
Please don't tell me I have friends that can help, that is semi true, but they don't know what goes on in my mind when I am left to think alone, and left alone. I have never been a very outgoing person, and I accept that. I have been alone before, and while not idea it was ok. I have acquaintances and friends online to help with anytime I am bored or if anyone wants to chat at me. I seem to be the one that everyone tells the stories to, the one they confide in, the one that others seem to know that I won't spill anything to other, and they are right. I won't spill secrets its not my way, but being empathic, who do I turn to? Who can I talk to about things and they will listen, and not just agree to what I say.
I guess what I am getting at is that I am a stranger to my friends and I have no family of my own. I can count on 1 hand true RL friends. That is pretty bad.
I am not asking for others to comfort me. I am beyond that. I want a way out of my depth of sadness and debt. I am trying really hard to get above the water line, but I am still sunk and even though I make headway in it, it still weighs on me.
I don't sleep well, 4-5 hours sleep lately, and thats not cause of all that I am anxious about or stressing. Bodily I have not been 100% ok. I am a diabetic (Own fault and genetic), I have OA and RA arthritis. I have lower back pain, I have hip and knee issues, and I have as well a case of depression. Yes I said it. I am depressed. The way my life has turned out, the negtives that have happened in it. The way that no mater what I do, seems to still go wrong. Before I go too long and lengthy, as rambling can go.
I just want to say that I am trying, but is it enough? Time will tell.
life choice(s) are coming, if I like them or not.
I am the kind of person that worries too much, cares too much, heart on his sleeve, and thats what I have always been.
(FYI, any bs about its in my head, or negative stuff like that may get you defriended, just a warning.)

Post Furnal equinox report
Posted 9 years agoWell where to begin.
Firstly this was the last convention for FE as Concom IE. Staff that I will be doing. After 6 years of doing the behind the scenes convention lead up and double duty its enough and I need to relax and enjoy the con in the future.
When one does a convention helping, one will never have any real sleep, and has to deal with any little fires, or issues that come around. We that are staff work alot of hours before the convention and during the convention. Lets just say that working from Sunday before to the Monday after is a long stretch at times, The con for us starts months before as we get everything done to lead up and make sure its all ready to go. Then at the Con on the Thursday is when the magic is being worked on and setup. Long hours before, long hours from 8am to sometimes 10-11pm and more after to finalize the day (Registration reconciliation of the days always takes time) . Lots to do that we sometimes forget to actually eat, and the sleep is horrid lol, lucky to get 4-5 hours during the night as you have to think about what has gone, and what happen.
Don't get me wrong, its always fun at the con, seeing all the faces that come around, the new ones, the first ones, the ones that have been here since the beginning, and even the children that come in and marvel at it all. Its always nice to see. :)
Every convention has its ups and downs, and ever year its always different. We can only deal with so many and I think convention goers forget that we are not paid for what we do for the convention and don't deserve any ire that comes up. Things can and will go wrong, and its how we react that must be taken into consideration. So the next time you have alittle impatience about something, think about it this way. We poor little workers are only human/furry. We deserve alittle respect and not the ire of impatience. (Sorry for that rant, but it had to be said).
Every year that I have been doing this I have meet so many wonderful furs and so many wonderful friends that I wish to keep in contact with. Just because I am not doing things in the background, does not mean I won't be around. I have always been shy with others, and its taken time for me to allow myself to enjoy hugs. So if you wanted to hug me, you could always ask. ;)
The convention group that I have had the pleasure to work with has been wonderful. Its a hard thing to change those in charge, but its got a decent person that is going to help lead them, and this year others who are taking over were feeling out what its like to actually be the ones responsible. For the majority of the weekend it was a clear indication that things were going well enough.
Everything that was told to us and thought of for changes will be taken in and used to make the following years better. It has always been that way.
So the numbers were again: 1051 Attendee's, over 285 fursuiters in the parade (This does not mean total fursuiters at the convention, that number easily almost adds another 100), we raised with the kindness of all the furry's over (yes dragon ball z reference) 9500 for the charity.
This number is significant in that it means the first hotel Canadian furry con has broken the 1000 ceiling. :) Good job all.
So this is not a kinda rant/good/post con report I just want to say. Thank you all, thank you all the staff, and good luck in the future.

arkant-wing Looking for inspiration, free sketch
Posted 10 years ago arkant-wing Is looking for inspiration for drawing stuff and practicing things. So go help him out and show him some love with his lovely work. He is quick and a joy to work with. You can't go wrong with inspiring an artist and getting them inspired only means greater works: Check out the Journal here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6293127/
Just watch him and inspire him, and those journals last for 1-2 weeks depending on his workload at work.
I think he is worth the watch. :)

Interesting dream
Posted 10 years agoThis was what I just woke up from.
Its still raw and by NO means is it a story or made to be one, just the sequence I seen.
** This is a dream sequence I saw last night. Very emotional filled dream. I can’t express what I felt, only what went on **
A Dragon’s Tear’s
What is a dragon?
Why are we afraid of the dragon?
Who made us this fearful?
Lo we are afraid of the unknown.
Humans destroy what they fear.
A dragon watches as we destroy ourselves
A single tear drips from his closed eyes.
He thinks Man can be saved.
However what he see’s is the opposite.
Man cannot save itself. Then who are they to save us?
A dragon watches his charge fumble and try to stand.
His heart goes out to that one.
He knows that with this one there might be hope.
However out of the alley way he hears a bang.
Next thing he is seeing the spirit rising from his slumped down charge.
He looks around frantically to find the one that did it.
He cannot interfere, but wishes he can.
More tears fall down and wet the ground. Soon the heavens join in.
Man has no sympathy for what they do, is what is shouted from above.
The dragon turns his face to look at all the pain and suffering.
Nothing like this was seen when he was in a physical form with his friends.
The dragon sheds tears for he knows that nothing will change.
He looks back at the humans, then sighs deeply.
Slowly sliding from this realm to the next.
He tells his dragon friends what has been happening.
Soon more then his own tears are falling.
The dragons soon find they have no choice.
Humans cannot be saved. They know what must be done.
A portal opens into the realm of man.
Out walks those that owned the world long before man came to pass.
Man tries to destroy those that come through. Using every thing that they can.
Man is foolish to think they can do it.
Three of the dragons turn there heads to the heavens and shout “MAN MUST BE REMOVED!”
Man gasps in awe as the dragons glow and grow. Soon they feel the lines hitting them.
Like a great cleansing of the world man disappears. Nothing left of man allowed to remain.
The dragons looks around and shed new tears on the world they have cleansed.
The original dragon comes in and collapses to the ground. Moving his hand in the remains of the world.
He curses out loud and uses his magic to remove all things man made. The world is new, with nothing destroyed and nothing man made or decaying.
The dragon looks around at the Three and they move back through the portal.
The dragon that remains cries tears, but these are for hope of a new future.
He moves his hands into the mud of the earth where his tears soaked.
Soon his hand moves along the mud to create a new generation of creatures.
Perhaps he thinks that, if Man failed, perhaps a world ruled by Anthro’s might change.
He looks at the life clay and drips a drop of his blood onto each type. The world changes rapidly.
Soon there is movement and construction of the world of animals begins.
New outlooks and new hope is what the dragon see’s.
He fades back into the shadows to watch what will, and what may happen. Ever watchful for the signs of what Man failed with.
** That’s when I woke up. Interesting dream sequence eh? **
Please do not post negative things as this is just a post of raw dream before I forget it.
Thanks.

Another Birthday Coming. Which is never a good thing...
Posted 12 years agoWell Next Saturday is my Birthday again.
I should be happy about it, but it just reminds me of what has happened the last 7 years. Something wrong happens on or around my B-Day. Its gotta be cursed.
So I am gonna just forget about it, cause its just another day.
Just the way things go.

What does the future have for me?
Posted 12 years agoBefore anyone starts to say things. Might as well get it out in the open. So we don't have any rumors floating around.
My Mate and I are not together any longer. 15 years is done and over with.
We are still friends, so leave it at that. No more details are required. I won't give any either so don't ask.
I probably won't be active much for awhile.
Just an FYI to anyone who reads this.
Thanks

What has life instore for me?
Posted 12 years agoI really don't know how to answer that question.
I mean things have happened to stop things that were in motion.
Things have gotten worse for me physically as well. Look after your health and particularly the feet. Mine are shot, and makes it so I can't do alot of things.
I am just not sure what life has for me in the future. I am facing it alone as well. Not totally, but effectively.
I talked to my doc about stuff and they suggested I see a Psychologist and get some things off my chest and clear my head I guess.
Not going to go into details about the issues I am facing, just wanted to put this into print to figure things out.
So don't ask what the issues are. I probably won't answer. Those that know them, don't voice them in this journal as well please.
Thanks.

Athus will always be remember, thats because of his kindness
Posted 13 years agoFriends & family of Athus Nadorian aka Brian Dyer
On Tuesday the 11th of October 2011, Athus was involved in a severe car collision that ended his time here with us. The 29 years of his life were filled with amazing stories, incredible adventures and outstanding creativity and talent. He shared his love of life, affection for others and sense of humor with many wonderful people. In memory of Athus and his special life, his closest kin have created a website for others to share their experiences with Athus as well as share photos and artwork. An email address has been established to send your wishes in to be posted on the site [email protected]. Thank you for your kind words, love and support through all of this. Remember to love life, hold your friends close and have a little fun - Athus wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
Please visit the site we have established www.athusnadorian.com and use the email address athus[at]athusnadorian.com to share your wishes to allow time for his closest kin to mourn peacefully.
-Friends and Family
It truly is a sad time for eveyone that knew Athus. Even in passing many people and small conversation one could know the true special heart he has.
I am going to miss him greatly. I should have stayed more in contact with him, but life does get in the way, but I remember his first drawings when he started out and as he got more and more practiced the special way he could capture life.
Fly high and Fly free now Athus. May your wings never tire where you are.
*hangs his head in rememberance*
