I've never been one to heed the shadows, pacing alongside me. As I trudged down the highway that night, something in the forest called out to me. Following the sound of water, a new prophecy set in motion. A prophecy that would let my heart finally speak without fear, and awaken a clearer version of myself, locked deep within. Though, the path to this new inner strength would not come without great sacrifice, to both myself, and the beast-folk of Andelusaria.
Bound to the clutch of a malevolent and despotic wolf, an entire nation fell in line with his bloodlust. Led on a foundation of lies, those from Silfrfold brought anguish to the shores of Andelusaria. That day the ocean turned crimson around the peaceful island of Nattfaravik, the Blood Tide, would be forever seared into the land and her citizens. From her ash and ruin would rise a new, enigmatic leader of the Andelusarian people. His own inner strength chained by oath and his true form obscured through the magic of Neiphlsven.
The shadows lured me to their realm. Anxious, I found myself in the presence of the sword-wielding lion charged with protecting his kinsman. Sensing I was of no threat, he was quick to open his heart to me. Healing long standing wounds from within, we found a new sense of comfort in the presence of the other. With his guidance, I came to understand the runic tongue that gave life to Neiphlsven's magic. Through the support of his closest companions, I would learn how to fight for peace. Through my deeds, I would gain the respect of the ethereal entities that govern.
In his arms, I would come to understand the deepest desires of my guiding spirit, and wholly accept myself for them.
As the ember of our bond began to brightly glow, the spirits warned of a second Blood Tide. An event that would hone our fates to the same tip of an arrow. With the sands of time almost depleted, he will need to trust in me what magic shrouded. I would need to trust in him the unobtainable.
Only as one, can we defy the will of the gods that control these lands, and strike down the broken and the heartless.
Only as one, can we unshackle each other from the burdens of our past, and forge new amity for Andelusaria, and for Silfrfold.
Perhaps if I gave credence to the shadows that night, my story would be different. But, would I want it to?

Posted 3 years agoGoodness me, I'm quite terrible at keeping up with this site. Apologies about that! I've been drawing away over on my Twitter page, CopperDraws. Please do come join me over there for plenty of works in progress, and where I generally publish my works first.
While life right now is .... Turbulent .... To say the best, I am alive and doing as well as I can!
I have updated my commissions and pricing to reflect current skills. My focus on details and client relationship & experience still means I only take on one client at a time, however I am now accepting deposit-paid wait lists of up to two commissioners. Those who wish to get a commission from me need only ask. Down payment is 50% of the commission cost, and is not refundable if backed out.
Do note, I no longer accept multi character pieces beyond two characters, and I still may only accept multi character on a limited self determined basis. I much prefer to draw dynamic single character scenes.
For the time being I only accept big cats as clients. HOWEVER that said, I am looking to branch out into wolves, so if that's you, give me a shout! I will consider other species on a case by case basis when asked.
All prices USD, SFW preference, NSFW allowed by approval, NO nudity.
Rough Sketch - $120 base, no additional characters, and no background
Refined Sketch - $ 175 base, no additional characters, and basic or no background
Rendered Illustration - $270 base, $170 for one additional character. Includes simple background, $50 and up for more complex backgrounds. Add $30 for complex character designs, complex clothing or armor. One prop allowed, additional props $20.

To All Who Visit My Page

If you have not noticed, I no longer really utilize any online gallery, nor commission art, nor draw much anymore. I work a full time job as an engineer monday thru friday. Often times i get home and seldom have time to really unwind during the week. On weekends i am often running about with local friends (or in the case of this upcoming weekend, playing with my new 2016 car i pick up friday...) or hiking, or cooking... I just find that I have lost the interest in the art community. That is NOT to say i have lost interest in the community, or artists whom I admire, of course, but merely I don't find it necessary or in my best financial interests to actively seek artwork of my characters. Surely you understand. I don't want to say that I have moved on from the community, for deep down I most certainly have not. However on the surface.... Aye.
In addition, please don't feel personally offended if say, on telegram, I don't reply much to you. I have a pocket of people i habitually maintain contact with, and I lose track of faces less talked with. It's not personal. Not at all. I just have hit my ideal threshold of peeps, and while there is not a necessarily polite way to say this, I am not actively seeking new friendships via chat (however, you are still welcomed to talk to me, I may just be slow to respond in some cases.) That being said, if you are local to me and I don't know you, definitely chime in and say hello. I much prefer physical interaction over that of a text box.
While I still get cute gift and doodles from good friends, and dabble with pen and ink now and again, it would unlikely show up here. My suit makes occasional appearances locally.
I still of course utilize twitter daily - feel free to check out siberia_copper over there and say hello. Any art/photos that I do obtain, would appear there anyway.
I do not have intentions of any further conventions. However it is possible I may make an appearance at AC2017.
I have no intentions of closing my FA account so long as its allowed to remain open whilst inactive, so still do enjoy what I have here.

If you follow me on twitter [at]siberia_copper you all know y now. But Me, my boyfriend Faust astrangelittlechild and our good pal mmacage have secured a two bedroom apartment, paid the security deposit, signed the really generous lease and are moving in together this month.
We will be moving in together on the 31st, and living near where i currently live in Buffalo NY. Yep. Faust is moving up here (Cage is a local fuzzball already)
This is a huge chapter in our lives, and i cannot begin to say how legitimately freaked out i am over all of it XD - cant wait to see how it goes, how our lives develop further, how our relationship blossoms, and how our family bonds tighten. Halloween is only a few short weeks away...
and for the first time ever, ill be able to say alongside faust and cage, that "this is our home, we own this."

Project Centralia
Posted 9 years agoSomething that I worked extremely hard on out in Centralia PA, this is a fursuit dance video featuring my character and Cage. Choreographed to the cover version of Radioactive by Lindsey Sitting and Pentatonix.

A Special Day
Posted 10 years agoOne year and 7 months ago I met someone on twitter who from day one had the most positive impact on my life. It started with simple helping me overcome problems with friends, since my anxiety shut me down. But as time progressed, things started to change. Drifted apart for a little, maybe a month or two. I'm not sure what changed, but eventually we started talking again ... With cute little phrases and actions to each other.
Then I asked him the question. It was a hesitant yes because he was never asked before. But a yes nonetheless was a yes. So one year ago today my life changed in the most positive and amazing of ways.
We made it a habit of calling nightly. Felt it secured our bond.
Call after work, saying goodnight, making each other smile.
Then we met for the first time in the City of Brotherly Love (Philly) where we shared an amazing experience together bonding under the stars by that tree next to the lake. Cuddling for our first time, sharing that kiss. :)
Our connection only got stronger as the days went by. Come December I visited you at your home, where I fell in love with your lifestyle, mom, dog and ATV. So much so did I love it that you bought me a ticket to stay an additional week. - I am glad you finally finished the wall I painted for you :p.
Going home was tough. I always miss you when you aren't in my arms.
Our true selves were showing. My anxiety slowly going away, your shyness as well. Nothing was derailing what we had, because it was truely unique.
Come spring break you visited my family. Probably had a culture shock that my relatives are 400 miles a part, that people don't barge in whenever they please x3. It was great taking you to Wegmans and having lunch. And just having the time to show you how I live and being able to spend time with you.
Finally at anthrocon - your first convention and my largest - we took our own little vacation together. You got snugged by fluffy derps, including me, and smiled so much at all the excitement around us. We walked the city a few times, experienced day and night, ate at a few of the worst McDonalds in history and celebrated the 4 the together. We made awesome new friends like hornet and jake lioner and Lockford and essentially everyone we met.
Which brings us to this special day. Because one year ago this day you said yes to me. And one year ago I never expected to have as much fun in my life as I have with you. I cannot wait for what our future holds, because I know it is going to be full of love, laughs, and smiles. Some say true love doesn't exist. But I believe and know it does. Because I found you :')

Week Ahead!

First and foremost,
thestripedone is visiting for a bunch of days starting tomorrow night! super excited for that. He and I are gonna spend my 23rd birthday [which is thursday!] roaming the streets and zoo of philadelphia.
Then friday, having a birthday and grad party for myself with Fibre,

twitchytigs and a few others. Since my mate, astrangelittlechild cant make it out here due to financial cost im really excited for him to skype call us all friday night too :)
Then saturday is my official debut of my fursuit Siberia - made by
hornetv2 - at the Delaware Furbowl!

Valentines Day

It's not about the gifts,
or the chocolate,
or even a piece of art that was drawn for you.
A holiday that really serves no purpose to our modern society,
but still has significant value to each one of us.
Be you single,
there is nothing wrong with that.
The day is not supposed to make you feel...
alone, depressed, doomed to an emotionless void.
Instead Valentines Day to you could focus on friendships.
The things and people that make you smile,
and the things and people that you think about regularly.
Be you in a relationship,
either just beginning, or holding strong,
Appreciate your significant other for every reason you love them.
It's not a day to find faults,
Or get in arguments.
It's a day to smile,
Know that someone has your back.
Give them a hug, a kiss here and there.
Go have lunch at your favorite silly restaurant,
or simply share a drink snuggled up on the couch.
Appreciate the fact that you have them close,
and that a great distance does not come between you.
For those of us who have our hearts held by others,
far across a vast ocean,
or impassible stretch of land,
this day may seem harder for us.
It is one thing to not have a valentine
Because you dont have anything to be upset about.
But to have a valentine that you cannot see
due to the distance between you,
is painful.
Sure the phone calls,
the skype calls,
the ever present messaging and texting
may help to shorten this distance in your head,
but physically there is that emptyness...
where he or she should be sitting next to you
being close,
being appreciated.
If there is one thing i've learned
in my near 7 months of dating Jake,
is that you never get over the distance.
But you press on with a smile.
You know that distance will one day vanish,
you two will be together.
But time is wicked,
and you just don't know when that'll be.
So how can you celebrate a valentine...
one that you only can hear
or see over a computer screen.
But one you cannot embrace,
or give the affection you dearly do desire.
You can't really do breakfast in bed,
or make a romantic dinner.
But you can, at the very least, do one thing.
(dear jake,)
Tell him that you love them.
That you think of him from the moment you wake in the morning,
to the last whisper of words before you fall asleep.
That there is not a day that goes by,
where you dont imagine living together under the same roof,
and until that day comes,
you cannot wait for your next visit together.
Tell him how much he means to you,
every single thing he has done,
big or small,
normal or abstract,
has made a difference in who you are.
That you will never let go of the love shared,
because it guides your path,
through the unknown field,
and that as long as you are together,
you will never get lost.
Show him that you care,
through the smallest of kind gestures,
a simple call to say "i love you, have a good day at work"
or a little text to say 'thinking of you."
Finally express your heart,
that its soft, gentle beat,
keeps you at inner peace,
knowing as long as the love shared is strong,
nothing can break you apart.

I am headed midwest on the 26th to spend a quality 8 days, christmas and new years with my mate astrangelittlechild at his home.
I really cannot wait, its going to be an amazing time.
Now then. I really want to make the most of this. Im not going to be online (FA, twitter, skype, texting or FB) much at all during this time. I think it would be nice for me to get away from the internet for a little bit and enjoy life yanno!
