I live in a place that doesn't have natural disasters. Sometimes hurricanes breeze up, but they blow into tropical storms that just wind and rain on us a bit. We had a hurricane warning a couple weeks ago and that weekend being perfectly happy and sunny. We don't take this shit seriously.

Yesterday, Igor hit. And it actually stayed a class 1 hurricane when it reached us.

On the burin peninsula, shit is wrecked. All the little towns are disconnected due to roads and bridges dying (thats where those major shots are from). Yesterday like 20 towns were in a state of emergency. Power was out here EVERYWHERE due to trees blowing down on power lines. I worked in the dark running a store with a flashlight, spare till and calculator. It's nuts.

(my boy/self/friends/house/car/possessions are all perfectly fine, no worries! I'm just amazed at the damage!)

Long, but SO WORTH WATCHING.

june 24th, the left side of my face goes numb. hospital tells me its not a stroke but otherwise nothing. in the next couple days the front half of my tongue goes numb as well, which feels so bad i just keep puking. mild headaches start.

the 30th i see a doctor who is just as stumped. best she can say is get bloodwork, maybe you have a b12 deficiency? but that's the vegan disorder and i am all about the meat so wtf

as of now.. there's not really numbness, but it feels off. like it's tired. and for some inexplicable reason, after the feeling came back i became hypersensitive to vinegar. everything else feels normal to eat, but any sort of salad dressings? holy crap that's intense. i thought my caeser had gone bad because it was so vinegary, but a friend's ranch and a brand new catalina are also nuts.

Almost six hours of being retards in the park later and I'm home!

Lex and I have gone through SO MANY SHOWS over the past year its unreal. We've ran out of things to watch, and we're at that awkward point of sitting around waiting for the weekly updates (Supernatural, Bones, South Park, How I Met Your Mother) or in between seasons (Dexter). :C

What should we watch next? I have no clue whats good on tv, and lex refuses a good ol "pop in the Harvey Birdman DVDs and play the drinking game". Or Freakazoid.

I spent today in a costume being retarded and chillin with  dabombxide and  apteryx, while  d6016 was mean and ran away from us. This is the first time I've ever gone to anything public dressed up that wasn't Halloween related... AWESOME TIMES :D

I preordered Soul Silver a couple weeks ago. There were two chicks working. I specifically asked about the preorder figures because I really wanted a Lugia. She told me that they came in with the games, and that it's first come first serve. The only way to be guaranteed one is to be there when they open on the 14th and be one of the first in line to pick up your game. Easy enough to do!

..last night Hakoge says I went there for my Lugia when EB got them in earlier this week and they'd already run out! They only had the Ho-ohs left when I got there. I think they'll have more in by Sunday, though I'm not too sure. FINGERS CROSSED. D:

Just went in to EB. Guy working there told me they did indeed come in a few days ago, and the only way to get one was to preorder AT THAT TIME, there will be none there tomorrow.
