Still alive, don't worry!
Posted 4 days agoHeya, everyone. Just a very quick update on things. I'm still recovering very, very well post-surgery and am back home.
I know I said art would be starting again at the beginning of the month, but the first order of business has been a whopping 8-piece clipart commission, so that's definitely taken a bit of extra time.
I'm also working on a special side account as well. More details when I'm ready to officially start posting to it. Moonlight Angel is definitely on the way as well, and probably a bit of Pokemon Trainer, too. Believe me, I have a LOT of stuff started on the backlog just waiting to be completed and posted.
Anyway, just wanted to fill you all in on things. Thank you as always for your continued patience! And especially to my Patrons, who are an incredible support to me. I'm here and we'll be getting started again soon. See you there!

I'll be back very soon! (Small update)
Posted 3 weeks agoHeya, everyone! Just wanted to give you all an update on how I'm doing.
For those of you that don't know, I got "the" surgery on the 6th of this month. To say it was a long time coming is a HUGE understatement.
Anyway, I've been recovering locally since then, but I return home on the 31st.
I'll probably end up having a New Year's Day stream on the first, sometime in the afternoon; with gaming and maybe some art. We'll see.
I'll also be filling everyone in on the past month and answering any questions you might have. I'd love to see you all there!

Accepting discounted commissions!
Posted 6 months agoHey! Been awhile since I've done this, eh?
So, recently I moved into a new place, and it's been a source of some pretty big expenses. My emergency savings are kind bottomed out, so I'm taking on some discounted commissions in order to shore up those numbers.
Here's the discounted price breakdown (all prices are in USD):
Baseline price (flat color; single character, simple BG): $50
Add shading: $65
Add background: $65
The works! (Full color shading and background): $75
Additional characters, effects, etc.: 10-20 apiece depending on complexity
TENTATIVELY accepting comic commissions as well, but those will take longer and will be priced on a case-by-case basis.
I'm currently offering 5 commission slots, but if there is a massive demand, I might add some more.
Anyway, if you're interested, hit me up either by sending me a note here or dropping me a private message via Discord.
And of course, if you don't have any commission ideas but still want to support me, consider joining my Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/ryusuta . Patrons on my Discord server will receive exclusive sneak peeks, insider commentary, discounts on all commissions, and occasional free sketches.
Thanks a bunch, everyone!

LONG overdue update
Posted 7 months agoWow... Been a long, long time since I've posted a journal here, eh? I could give a lot of reasons for this, but the short answer was, I was in a very rough spot in my life. This is why my art slowed down so dramatically over the years.
Well, now that I'm moved into a new apartment in a very cool area, I feel like my spark has been making a return. I know actions speak louder than words, though, so keep an eye out. I have a HUGE pipeline of sketches/WIPs I've already gotten to work on (which will be available for Patrons to check out soon); two of which are Pride-related, and I'll be prioritizing for obvious reasons. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for sticking me through both the good and bad times through the years. I hope to make it worth your while.
Love you guys, now and forever.

Thanks for your patience! Transform Me is next!
Posted 2 years agoDecember was a massively hectic month, but with that in the rearview, I can finally finish the second half of the Transform Me series. I really appreciate the patience of everyone who has been waiting for their slots to come up. I have to get my dental crown worked on today, but apart from that, expect the continuation to happen before too long.
Thanks again for your patience and support over the holiday season!

Reflecting on the past couple of years...
Posted 2 years agoHeya, folks. It's Thanksgiving in America today, and while I'm taking a little break from doing chores and making preparations for cooking food for everyone, I wanted to take a little moment to just sorta vibe and think a bit about my past, present and future here.
TL;DR - Don't worry, this is nothing bad, and no breaking news/major changes or anything like that! Just doing some general holiday blogging about random things.
Take my word for it, folks: time goes very, VERY fast. You might not know it yet, but it does. It's all the more reason to carpe that diem every chance you get. Life isn't perfect, and there are always bad times. But even those bad times remind me of how important it is to treasure life that much more. All emotions, good and bad, are reminders of this incredibly tiny, short existence we all get to share.
Now, I'm not saying that you need to seize the day by being productive or doing something extravagant. The was something it's taken me a long time to learn. Productivity is good. It's helpful. It makes your mark on this world. But at the same time, sometimes seizing the day can be as simple as giving yourself some chances to sleep in; watch some videos; play a game or two; talk to a friend. Self-care is important. And this "burn the candle at both ends" idea some parts of society have conjured up is absolutely ridiculous. Work at your own pace for what you think you deserve, as best as life will let you.
As I said, though, time moves so damned fast. I still think of The Pokemon Trainer as one of those "new comic ideas" I was toying around with, and I clearly remember working on those first couple of pages and thinking how far I'd come... and THAT was in 2014.
The past few years have been a bit of a crossroads for me. And while a lot of that was spent frustrated and saddened at what I felt (and still feel, to some extent) to be a plateauing of sorts... The past couple of months have really been eye-opening for me in a good way. Partially with some positive changes in my daily home life, and partially from the overwhelming response to the Transform Me! series returning.
Don't get me wrong. I figured it would do decently well and people would be excited for it. But I vastly... VASTLY underestimated just *how* excited you guys would end up being. the list literally filled up in the time it took me to go out and buy some ice cream. That's insane. And for that, you have my supreme gratitude. And of course, I'll definitely see about doing more themed commission series in the future as well.
Moonlight Angel is still a thing. Even if it doesn't bring in the numbers I sometimes wish it did and I still have no idea how to promote it to a receptive wider audience, it's still my love and my passion project. And I do know that the comic, and the Istrala species as a whole, have a lot of diehard fans. I appreciate that a lot! Even if it didn't, sometimes you still have to just do something you love. And I love Rohan's tale.
My goal was to have this chapter finished by the end of this year...
...Okay, let's be honest, my goal was the have finished the chapter by the end of LAST year. But stuff happens and things get slowed up. Either way, we don't have much more to go before the adventure at large begins! Just keep in mind that it's a solo project and I'm no longer rushing pages out to make deadlines, just to later cringe at the artistic corners I cut to get there. I will likely go back to flat-color stuff after this chapter passes, but I want to nail the ending on this, so long detailed pages are the best way to do so.
Pokemon Trainer is also still a thing. As ever, it's one of those "pick at it when I feel like it" things. But I definitely don't want to make it another three years before a new page. So, we'll see.
Jackson & Jillian is basically down to if and when Brandon and I sort out the next chapter. It's a "maybe."
The treasure box teaser? DEFINITELY. Just working on the format and approach. It'll probably still be awhile before I get to it, but it's still there.
I still do videos and streams on my Youtube and Twitch pages, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu.....X9W28p6i7P6miw and https://www.twitch.tv/ryusutastreams . Mostly Marvel vs. Capcom 2 stuff, but I'm considering branching out some more. I've wanted to get more into Zelda 2 Randomizer, as I still feel that's one of the best and most criminally overlooked randomizers out there. We'll see!
So anyway, that's the business side of things taken care of. I admit that I do still have body image issues, as my 30s have not been kind to my waistline and I don't see that changing. But I'm in a loving environment with supportive people, and that has helped me very much to keep things in perspective.
On Friday, I'm gonna be out of state to get some electrolysis done, so if you don't see me online on Discord for a day or two, don't freak out. It's just a long drive and a long, grueling experience. XD
Anyway, that's about it for now. I say this as my sign-off on videos and streams, but I wanted to say it here, too:
Folks... Be good to each other. And be good to YOURSELVES. Because there is someone out there that is glad you're alive. Never forget that. Seriously. YOU. Reading this right now. I promise you this - you are a TREASURE. I love and care about you and want you to live, thrive, and survive. Stay safe, and stay kind.
For my American followers, enjoy your holiday! For everyone else, treat today like it's a holiday and take some recreation time. You could use it.
Peace!

Wow guys... I am stunned! Thank you all!
Posted 2 years agoI expected the return of Transform Me! to fill up fast, but I underestimated just HOW fast. I headed out to get some ice cream, and just a bit after I got back I checked and found that EVERY SINGLE SLOT had been filled.
It really does mean a lot to me that you're all still that interested in what I do. I have no idea how long this will all take, but believe me when I say that I will give it my absolute best. Thank you. ;w;

Very important updates: Where have I been?
Posted 4 years agoI'm not going to mince any words about it. I know that I've been a ghost lately in terms of art uploads. And I wanted to take a moment to explain the various reasons why.
TL;DR - Life and lack of motivation have gotten in the way, but I do intend to get back into the swing of things.
---
First, the "venting" part. I admit that this is indeed venting, so if you want to skip the "poor me"s, feel free to move onto the next section.
I think things started to get messy for me when I stopped uploading as much Pokemon art and comics. A few years ago, I was rocketing to a million pageviews on DeviantArt. Now things have stalled out for ages at less than 900k.
Oh god, DeviantArt. They're a huge part of this, too. I've spoken to some of the people behind Eclipse. and they were very pleasant people. But every problem that has come about in the past year with that site has been a direct result of their obstinacy and user hostility. This hasn't been a "phase" where people need to "just get used to" the site. This has been a constant downhill spiral in their whole site's viewership.
When I bring up all of these things, there is no spirit of compromise. Literally, the only explanation is that they "Can't go back" to the old site. And that the code was "over 10 years old." I'm no web designer, but even I know that the outer appearance of the site isn't the same thing as the deep coding. And this code is objectively worse in terms of both features and functionality.
I used to pride myself on thanking each new watcher individually. For the past year, I've not been able to do that effectively on DA because of how absolutely atrocious their notification settings are. And sadly, that has affected my presence on FurAffinity as well. Which I feel especially guilty for, because FA isn't screwing me over in the same ways DA is.
In short, DA has been a nightmare for me. And I am pessimistic about the direction it's been going.
Nevertheless, I am going to try and catch up a little bit on the personal thank-yous once again. I always am appreciative of all comments and support and I like to show that. We'll see how it pans out.
Of course, another issue has been trying to catch up on commissions. I've had to actively avoid taking commissions simply because I haven't been able to stay on top of them. Lack of motivation and energy is a big factor on that.
It's hard to explain, but most days when I look at my stylus, it looks like it weighs 500 pounds. I've always had anxiety looking at a blank canvas, but now there's pressure and a lack of motivation on top of it.
I also have a muscular problem around my bottom ribs that causes tremendous discomfort during prolonged drawing sessions. (Yes, I've seen a doctor, and no, they don't know the issue.)
So, I'm stuck. I want to do more Moonlight Angel stuff, but I feel it's done nothing but cause me to spin my wheels. Point-blank, it's not as big of a hit as my old Pokemon comics, and that's discouraging. Nevertheless, I'm still wanting to keep going as best I can.
---
So... the plan moving forward. As always, you can keep track of my commissions list here: https://trello.com/b/6kC9Lx9J/commi.....-and-art-stuff
That's the best way to see what's on the docket. After I finish this so-called "second wave" of commissions, my intent is to do more personal art, up to and including more Moonlight Angel.
I tend to be remiss in plugging my Patreon since I've been mostly doing commission stuff, but if you want some added insider info, sneak peeks at WIPs, fast lane commission, and early access to things, feel free to check out my page here: https://www.patreon.com/ryusuta
The two biggest goals on my Patreon will be to update the pledge levels as well as fix the Patreon bot on Discord. I'm also open to suggestions on how to make the Patreon more enticing. Lately, I've exclusively been releasing content on the Patreon Discord channel, since that is a more immediate thing. But for the Patrons that would like stuff added to the site itself, let me know! I want to give you as much bang for your buck as possible!
...Okay. The Pokemon comics.
*Sigh*
Long story short: Jackson & Jillian and Pokemorph Stories probably won't be returning. There's reasons for both of them not coming back. And I do apologize for people that enjoy them.
That being said, I am very much willing to do some more Pokemon Trainer at some point if you guys want to see it. That is always been intended as a temporary hiatus; so while Moonlight Angel is 100% my main comic and the thing I want to do most, I do intend to do more Pokemon Trainer pages here and there someday.
So... That's about it! Thank you all for watching, listening to my rants, and showing me the love and support you have. Believe me when I say each invidual bit of it means the world to me. This has been especially true for my Patrons and commissioners, whose understanding and support are beyond measure.
I'll keep y'all posted! Coming up next is a huge multi-person commission.Hope you enjoy it!
Peace!

Moonlight Angel Anniversary will be a bit late.
Posted 4 years agoSorry, guys. I meant to get the anniversary picture done by the 7th, but a lot of IRL stuff's been distracting me. I'll be getting it done within the next week or two. Stay tuned for that, as well as new pages, commissions, and other such things. Thanks!
Update to My Update's Update
Posted 4 years agoSo, I told you there'd be some radio silence, didn't I? XD
A lot of the regular on my Discord (the Silly Sanctuary; feel free to drop in!) already are up-to-date on this, but just to fill you guys in as well, I have definitely been working on the Moonlight Angel comic pages; slowly but surely. I'm almost finished with the second page of the return. I feel like when I've gotten 5 or so pages out I can start posting them publicly. (And of course, Patrons get early access as well as behind-the-scenes commentary and in-progress sketches. So if you want to help out my art page and get in ahead of the curve on the art stuff I do, definitely feel free to give it a look.)
Unfortunately, my good friend Kyrio is no longer able to work on the shading for the comic. He has a lot of other things on his plate and I respect that (and of course, follow them here as well as @ kyrio5 on Twitter!). Working on a tentative arrangement with a new shader, so we'll see what happens with that!
I'll probably be knocking out a quickie commission or two during the quiet period, so keep an eye out on that. In addition... and PLEASE don't hold me to this... there is a SLIGHT chance I might even get a page or two of The Pokemon Trainer done as well. I know you guys have wanted to see some more of that, and it might be a fun way to switch things up.
I really do apologize for the long periods of silence. Between having to get a new computer, the exponential difficulty of comic pages, and my own anxieties eating into my motivation, it's been a bit tough to knuckle under.
I just want you all to know that I AM still here, I AM still working on things, and I will do my best to bring you the best entertainment possible. Thanks again!

Update on Moonlight Angel
Posted 5 years agoHeya, everyone! I wanted to let you all know that I'm finally more or less caught up on the current wave of commissions and I am OFFICIALLY working on Moonlight Angel once more!
I've got the script for the next several pages already written, so now it's a matter of working on and releasing the pages again.
That being said, it will still be a little while before uploads start again. I wanted to avoid the same pitfalls I fell into before with rushing to meet deadlines and cutting corners on some of the visuals. So, this time around, I'm going to be working on a few pages in advance to create a buffer for releasing and ease the schedule a tiny bit.
As a result, there will probably be a period of radio silence as I get this ball rolling again. I wanted to give you guys warning about this so you don't worry about the temporary dearth of new art stuff. This time around, I'm going to try not to push myself too far too fast and maintain a pace that I feel more comfortable with.
As ever, Patrons will receive the new pages first, with public releases soon after.
Thank you so infinitely much for your patience, support, and love! I really, really hope I'm able to make Moonlight Angel's return even more exciting for everyone. In the meantime, I'll do my best to keep everyone posted.
Until then!

Posted 5 years agoI realized that I've been BADLY slacking on replying to FA comments. I'll try to avoid that in the future. Rest assured, even when I don't reply, I read and DEEPLY appreciate every comment I get. ;w;
Thanks, I hate it.

Any commissions I've not added to my Trello ( https://trello
Posted 5 years agoAny commissions I've not added to my Trello ( https://trello.com/b/6kC9Lx9J/commi.....-and-art-stuff ) and/or discussed and agreed to will now be put into a "Second wave" of commissions, which will be put on hold while I work on other projects.
I've been having a hard time saying no to new commissions, but I honestly need to draw a line. So, if you really, really want a commission, it will need to be put on hold for awhile while I work on other things and catch up on my current commission list. I appreciate your patience and understanding on this. Fact is, I have a very hard time keeping up with my workload and it's caused me a great deal of stress and exhaustion lately. That, and I'd really like to get more Pokemon Trainer and Moonlight Angel stuff out.
Remember, you can always support my works financially via Patreon and receive extra bonuses and incentives, such as Fast Lane priority. https://www.patreon.com/ryusuta
Thank you so much for your understanding, folks. Some of you might have noticed that I've gone a little quiet lately. Honestly, I think I've kinda overstressed myself and have been kind of recuperating. This will help give me a little more of a buffer to sort new projects out and possibly work on my pricing a little more.
Please feel free to post below if you have any comments/questions, and I'll get to them ASAP! Thanks again, everyone. <3

Let's talk about Moonlight Angel...
Posted 5 years agoThis is something I've been dreading talking about. But I feel it's gotten important enough that it needs to be addressed.
Let me begin by saying that Moonlight Angel has been a passion project for me, and I've enjoyed every second of my time spent working on it. It has been an absolute delight, and while there are aspects of it that could have been improved upon, I don't regret creating it one bit. I love that the Istrala have become a subject of interest and even fanart and stories for diehard followers, that I hope that continues to be the case.
But that being said, I think it might be time to put the comic on the shelf for a little while. And I wanted to ask all of you.
The truth of the matter is, guys, that Moonlight Angel is not performing particularly well. Compared to a lot of my other pieces - particularly one-offs and commissions - Moonlight Angel's views, favorites, and comments are consistently dwarved. And on top of that, my Patreon numbers have been dipping little by little, likely due to most of the rewards being related to the comic. Simply put, while the comic has its major fans, in general, it is doing very little to engage a wider audience.
I suspect a large part of it might simply be the fact that this chapter is a bit of a narrative slog, setting up a lot of information and having action in the early parts that doesn't focus on our main character. If I had a second chance, I would probably have delayed this particular event and spent more time on studying Rohan's character and his reactions to becoming a demon. I always intended to get to this as time went on, but I admit that I probably dropped the ball in terms of pace.
At any rate, what I'm saying is this. Comic pages take a very, VERY long time to make. We're talking as much as 12+ hours per page. And they also take a TON of effort in terms of the finer details such as panel layout, framing, script edits, effects, etc. And compared to much simpler and quicker commissions and one-offs, I'm not getting much out of that effort anymore.
Now, I want to be PERFECTLY clear about something: I am not holding ANYONE accountable for this. Any lack of engagement is my own failure as an author to connect with the readers. I'd rather have honest disinterest than pretend enjoyment when it comes to my stuff.
SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
That's sort of what I'm asking you guys. My intention is to put Moonlight Angel on hiatus and maybe kinda work on it more privately as a background project. But! If you guys really don't want to see it go, this is the time to let me know. It's perfectly okay either way. The point is that I care about you guys' input on this.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MOONLIGHT ANGEL IS SHELVED? IS IT GONE FOR GOOD?
No. I'll just turn my focus to my growing list of commissions, which have needed more punctual addressing anyway. I'll probably still work on pages in the background; I'll just save their release for later on when I feel comfortable bringing it back.
Who knows, I might even get a couple of Pokemon Trainer pages out. Don't hold me to that, though.
WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US?
Two things. First, I would like to know if you guys still want Moonlight Angel on a regular basis, or if you're fine with it being put on the backburner. THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWER HERE. Only your honest opinions.
Secondlly, I feel as though my Patreon could use a shift in focus toward more general rewards. I would like to ask you guys' thoughts on what Patreon rewards (if any) would interest you.
DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK THE BUTTER BEAN IS A GOOD BINDING OF ISAAC ITEM?
Dude, Butter Bean is seriously underrated. It's one of my favorite defensive items in the game.
...I think I'm getting off-topic here.
Anyway, one way or another, guys, there's definitely gonna be more art content to come. On top of that, I think I've finally got a passable stream setup so I can possibly do a livestream open arena of Smash Bros. Ultimate. That might be fun! I'll keep you posted.
On behalf of Rohan and the crew, and all of my other comic creations... But in reality; from the bottom of my heart... Thank you. I can't tell you guys enough how deeply grateful I am for each and every one of you. The regulars on my Discord server are a constant delight, and every comment makes me remember why I'm doing this in the first place. No matter what happens, know how grateful I am for you guys.
Lots of love!

BEAUTIFUL surprise fanart of The Pokemon Trainer!
Posted 5 years agohttps://www.deviantart.com/motoneko.....mine-809150167
Got a DeviantArt notification out of the blue about this and I knew it had to be shared. It's actually been quite awhile since I did anything with The Pokemon Trainer, so it's a little easy for me to feel like it's been forgotten. Well, this serves as a reminder to both of us. It reminds me that you all haven't forgotten, and now it allows me to remind you that *I* haven't forgotten.
It's been quiet these past couple of months. I've honestly had trouble keeping my motivation and artwork output at a reasonable level. That being said, Moonlight Angel *IS* coming back soon. I've already got (almost) two pages ready to rock. It might be only every other week for a little bit while I catch up on commissions and such, but it will return either this coming Wednesday or the next one.
As for The Pokemon Trainer... This is a tricky thing. It's hard to decide how to fit it in with my busy schedule of working and desperately AVOIDING working. I can't say for sure what my game plan is for it, but works like this remind me of just how much I love doing what I'm doing. Thank you so much, Motoneko. This was a WONDERFUL gift. And rest assured, I will treasure it and what it reminds me of.
Everyone, thanks for your support. Your interest, and your patience with me. Seeing this sort of thing really touches me. If I'm able to offer you guys happiness through my stories, then I am the truly lucky one.

Vacation update: Moonlight Angel and more
Posted 5 years agoHeya.
So, my couple of weeks' vacation has turned into about a month. And there is a decent reason for that. In addition to simply needing to recharge my batteries, I've also been working on commissions as well as scripting out the next few pages of the comic. I've also begun working on the comic pages themselves a little at a time so I'm not so stressed, pressured, and rushed on a week-to-week basis. I figure the primary cause of my exhaustion was being on such a tight deadline, so this should definitely ease things for awhile.
I have to admit, there's been a few setbacks here and there. Patreon has kinda slipped pretty far, so I can't really afford to do shading for awhile. I might see about brute forcing it at some point, but for now, I'll just have to go with what I have. I'll keep you posted.
And speaking of Patreon, I feel I'm kind of due for a bit of an overhaul. When I first started my Patreon, I was kind of shooting from the hip on donation incentives and pledge goals. Some of them worked out okay, others less so. I am still looking for someone experienced to help me make a dedicated website and comic listing for Moonlight Angel, because I have NO idea how to do that sort of thing. I'm also considering making a survey for you guys because I really, REALLY need the feedback on the comic, the Patreon, and everything else. At the moment, I sometimes feel I'm floundering in the dark and I feel you guys deserve better.
Anyway, my intention is to get back to a weekly upload every Wednesday within the next week or two. But taking a LOT of you guys' rather firmly-stated advice, I also won't rush. I want to make a consistent schedule that tells a story you guys can all enjoy. I hope that Moonlight Angel has been a story people feel invested in and eager to see where things go. Sometimes I worry that I'm pacing it too slowly. Believe me, it's not lost on me that Rohan hasn't had much time to properly introspect on his situation, and I intend to give him that chance; the events laid out just don't seem to want to cut him a break! XD
So, that's about it. I'll definitely keep you guys posted on everything, and in the meantime, please, please, PLEASE leave any questions or comments you have in mind down below. You have no idea how valuable both are to me.
Until next time!

Just a quick reminder... (Moonlight Angel)
Posted 5 years agoI'm going to be taking a week or two off from Moonlight Angel in order to recharge my creative batteries as well as hopefully catch up on some commissions.
Comic pages should resume by July. Thanks for your continued support and interest!

Posted 5 years agoI'm on vacation to Anime North, so no Moonlight Angel this week! Next week we should be back with another new page. Thanks for your understanding and awesome support, guys!
Moonlight Angel is now on Tapas!
Posted 5 years agoThat's right, you can now find the entirety of the comic thus far on Tapas!
https://tapas.io/series/Moonlight-Angel
I'd hesitated for awhile on using this particular site since it has a relatively small file dimension limit, but I decided I couldn't reach a wider audience by sitting down and twiddling my thumbs, so here we go! Viewing the comic on the site will allow for a more immediate experience when scrolling from page to page, but there will be fewer updates and additions added as part of it. So, it will have both advantages and disadvantages.
And of course, it goes without saying that I will continue uploading to DA, FA, and Patreon as well; so don't you worry!

An Up-and-coming Twitch channel you guys should check out!
Posted 5 years agoHeya, guys. I know I don't tend to do enough gaming and art streams, so I wanted to recommend a loved one's channel which has recently become affiliated. She has a great setup, plays a nice variety of titles, and has her eyes staring straight for the top. She's got a really huge work ethic with her streams, so I seriously can't recommend watching her enough. Subscribe to her if you have the money (every little bit helps)! And follow her if you don't. Even the little bit of chatting and viewership makes a big difference, guys. You have no idea.
She's live right now (as of the posting of this journal) with borderlands 2, so check it out!

Moonlight Angel News: Anime North this Month!
Posted 5 years agoJust a heads-up for you guys (especially my awesome Patrons): On the 23rd, I'm gonna be headed out to Toronto for a few days to head to Anime North with a lot of amazing people like pokemonmanic3595 and solarknight99 (among MANY others!).
Just like with last year, that means there will probably be a couple of weeks off from the comic while I'm out there. I don't have a full plan yet, but I'm hoping I'll be able to drop in a couple of good intermission pages while i'm away. Just a bit of notice for you guys.
The good news is that I'll be able to relax a bit and maybe even have some extra time to catch up on some more commissions here and there. So... Yay on that!
Thanks again for everyone's support for this comic. It really amazes me how far things have come so far. If you have any questions, you need only ask!

Patreon Overhaul 1: Semi-Early Access!
Posted 6 years agoWell, guys... I've been putting a lot into my Patreon lately, and I wanted to give you all some quick updates.
First the minor stuff. I've done a tiny bit of cleanup on some of the pledge tiers, adjusting some of the reward levels and clarifying some of the information on them. Nothing too dramatic overall, but if you have any questions about them, please let me know ASAP and I'll sort it out as best I can! Still have no idea why the Patreon bot on Discord doesn't work. If you're not properly getting rewarded with the correct Patron role in the chat server, let me know ASAP.
But now let's talk about the part that I think most of you will want to hear about. Starting next week, I'm going to be starting a semi-early access program as a sort of experiment while I'm still working on catching up enough to implement the full thing. **EVERY PATRON FROM 10 DOLLARS AND UP WILL RECEIVE THE "FLAT-COLORED" (UNSHADED, MINIMAL EFFECTS) PRE-RELEASE OF THE COMIC PAGES AS THEY ARE FINISHED.** (Usually this is 2-3 days before the final version.)
Depending on the success of this new implementation, I'll have a clear idea on how to push forward with features for my Patreon. And please, as ever, if you have any ideas or suggestions on what I can do to further improve the experience, let me know! I'm very interested in giving you all something you can truly enjoy.
Thank you all for supporting Moonlight Angel, and for being there for me as a whole. You are the reason I've gotten as far as I have.
