Commission Update...
Posted 2 years agoAs I'd mentioned in my previous journal, here is the update of my commission price list (this is to go along with the update that I'd placed in the gallery):
Scott Alston's Commission Price List 2023
Bust (Ink) $20 (9 X 12 only)
Bust (Color) $25 (9 x 12 only)
Waist Up (Ink) $30 (9 x 12) $40 (11 X 14)
Waist Up (Color) $35 (9 X 12) $45 (11 X 14)
Full Size (Ink) (1 character) $40 (9 x 12) $50 (11 X 14)
Full Size (Color) (1 character) $50 (9 X 12) $55 (11 X 14)
Each additional character $10 per character
Extra detailing (scenery, clothing, etc.) $20
Model Sheets: $150 (11 x 14, color) two or three poses with either three facial expressions or equipment
Comic Pages: $50 per page (B&W) (14 x 17)
$60 per page (color) (14 x 17)
When you make your order, I suggest that you send me your entire amount. Do not order more than two commissions at one time. All payments are to be made through my paypal address.
I also suggest that you tell me what you want in the drawing. Also, if you are asking for a particular scene, like you would like to have the character standing next to The Tower of London, for example, I would like you to send me pictures that I can use as reference materials. (Will save time in the long run.) I would lastly suggest that you send me a SASE, so that I can tell you that I have received your check or money order.
All people who order commissions should get their orders filled within a two-three week period. If not, I will explain why and will tell you how long I think it will take.
I do not do commissions of anyone else's character, unless they belong to the commissioner. The only exception is any of my brother's characters, but please ask him first, okay?
I will do any type of drawing except for the following: blood and guts (i.e. explisive violence), gay or lesbian pieces, S & M, and bondage. I mainly prefer doing drawings up to an R-rating. Anything higher than an R, I will only do for people who I have been in letter contact with for a year and can trust. I draw anthropomorphics. I will also need an age statement that you are over 18 years old for either mature or adult art.
If you have an idea, and you're not sure if I'll do it, please ask. I'll tell if I'll do it.
Let me know if you know anyone who would like to order commissions from me. Thank you.
Any questions, ask either here or in notes. Thank you.

Hi...
Posted 2 years agoI'm writing this to let folks know that my left hand, the one that I draw with, has been working fine for over a month now. The problem that I was having with it cleared up on its own., especially as I was unable to find a local specialist who could've suggested what to do to help speed up the process. Sadly, I couldn't find a local specialist who wasn't booked until earlier this year,. and the one I'd did fine lived out in the suburbs. (Yeah, to say that I was unhappy with this turn of events is an understatement.)
Anyway I should tell folks that I'm once more able to accept commissions. But, I am making changes in prices, as well as adding some options to what I am willing to do. I plan to upload the updated commission list on March 1, so, until then, hold up on any commission orders.
Lastly, I'm still selling some of my old characters, so, anyone who might be interested, I still have the list of old characters I am willing to sell.

Need help with rent...
Posted 2 years agoI am presently behind on the rent for the last few months and need some help paying it off.
I would normally be offering to do commissions for folks to pay people back for their help, except that I am presently unable to grip anything with my writing/drawing hand, my left hand, without it hurting. I will be going to see the doctor tomorrow morning to find out what's wrong and what can be done to correct it.
Instead, I plan to sell several of my older characters, characters who were either drawn only once or I don't think I will be drawing in the future because of the number of characters I have overall. I plan to give any buyers the copyright to the character as well as a copy of the picture(s) of said character with the copyright given to the buyer. I have written up a list of the characters for sale, which is presently over three pages long, as well a drawing of each character for folks to see what each one looks like. We can talk about price if any character(s) is bought. Each character will become the property of the new owner after the money had been paid in full.
Anyone who might be interested please contact me in notes.
Thanks in advance those who are willing to help.

I'm writing this journal..
Posted 9 years ago...for my brother Scott.
At the moment he no longer has assess to the net, since the home computer went down.
Here are the details, as cross-posted from my FA page:
I have to sadly report that our home computer is on the fritz and is being looked at by our friend. He thinks he'll be able to get it back to us on Friday, or, if not, give us a new computer.
Reason? Seems the motherboard came loose when he came by on Saturday to replace our mouse, which seems to have stopped working Friday night while I was trying to use the scanner, with one that is a usb plug-in. But, when he'd tried to plug it into the back, the computer did not recognize it, but, when he put it in the front, the computer, after a while, recognized it, but, we then discovered a couple of things: 1) the computer was not recognizing the scanner and 2) it was claiming that internet access wasn't working either.
We decided to take a look inside the computer, and discovered that the motherboard seems to have come loose. But, we don't know if it was the result of it being inside our apartment for over four years, since nothing else seems to be wrong, or, if it was the result of his earlier, at my request, getting rid of the dust that was inside the computer, and maybe being a bit too aggressive using the vacuum cleaner's cleaning attachment around it.
Anyway, he's seeing if he can fix it, or just salvage what he can from it (since, as I said, there does not seem to be a problem with the drives and we were able to get the computer to boot up), and putting it all into a new computer.
We'll know for certain on Friday.
In the meantime, Scott will not have access to the net, unless he can use one of his hand-held video game consoles (I know he uses one of them to get access to his youtube account), and I will only be able to use the computer at Drexel during the week, since I'm an alumni. But, of course, I'm not going to have access to the computer late in the evenings and in the mornings, (unless I get up early in the day than I usually do.)
So, that's the skinny. We're hoping to be back on Friday. Knock on wood.

Just to let folks know...
Posted 11 years agoMy brother, leoni2 discovered earlier this afternoon that he'd goofed up on the copyright for Snow White, as the doe actually belongs to both him and train. That has been corrected and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10395883/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10434530/ are now showing the correct copyrights.
Just to let everyone know...
Posted 12 years agoI'd just uploaded a much better looking copy of the WindTide's Debut cover page as my brother leoni2 found a copyshop with a much better printer. It can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10136337/ .
Open for commissions
Posted 12 years agoHello folks.
I have never asked for help through my journal before, but here goes.
I'm offering commissions for money to help cover the rent and bills.
Sadly, because it's because I'm not getting enough hours from work, and I'm having a hard time keeping up. (Doesn't help that more money is being taken out of by paycheck thanks to the changes that the fed had made. Thank you stupid government!!!)
Right now, I need $250 to help cover the rent and the electric bill.
The money can be sent to my PayPal account. I'll need the money by next Monday. Why? Because it will take 235 business days for the money to be transferred from PayPal to my local bank. I just want to make sure it'll be transferred without any problems, since the rent is due on March 10th. Though, I hope to get them to let me pay on the 11th, since the 10th is on a Sunday.
If you can help, please read the commission info I have posted here in my journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4058329/ . Before you ask, I won't offer any adult commissions.
So, please don't ask.
If you have seen the art that I have posted, you should have an idea of what I can draw. Just send me a note with a brief idea of what you drawing you would like to order from me. I'll let you know whether I can or will accept your commission.
Remember, I won't start on any commission, until the money has been cleared through Paypal. If you have sample art of your characters by yourself or other artists, please send copies through my email.
Thank you.

Yesterday...
Posted 13 years agomy older brother leoni2 discovered that I'd forgot to color in Helvetia's right arm and glove in the Lady Liberty and the National Heroines commission for train, as she stands behind Lady Europa. Anyway, I'd corrected it yesterday, as I still have the original. since train wants all of the ordered commissions sent to him at the same time. Anyway, I'd just uploaded the corrected version, so, anyone who wants to look at it can go here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6787415 .

Twilight 3D heroes style
Posted 13 years agoA few days ago, I had created a 3D Dot Game Heroes of Twilight Sparkle of MLP:FIM.
My first figure I had ever created for the game. Wonder if I can make one of each of the other characters.
Here's a link to the talent person who created the icons from MLP:FIM I'm using.

Check out his work.

Sigh...
Posted 14 years agoI'm leoni2 writing this for my brother;
Well, might as well let you guys know: Our home computer is down, again. As far as we know, it is not a hard drive problem, as the compter won't even boot up. When we start, we hear a series of beeps and then nothing. A local friend, when we told him this, is telling us that the motherboard is running and looking for something, but can't find it, thus why it won't go too far. He thinks that its either a problem with the motherboard, a problem with the power supply, a memory problem, a problem with the video card (as I was looking at a youtube video when the problem started), or a perifferal (sp?) problem or even something inside might be loose, but, he doesn't think whatever it is has anything to do with the hard drive, since we would be seeing an error message, but, as I'd said, the thing won't even boot up. Anyway, the person who has given us the computer plans to come by after work to find out what the problem is. So, until then, once again, I won't be able to use the home computer, although it seems that I can get to places, like here, using my psp, but I can't do much if I want to upload new art, until the problem is found and cleared. Hopefully, it won't take a week to clear.

It can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3671071/ ; 2) Nun Miko catches GRRRR playing with a double dong, as the dong was suppose to be blue. It can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4059182/ ; 3) Micro Mouse, as the right most of the two lego pieces was blue. It can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4329821/ ; 4) GRRRR fucking a cuffed Nun Miko with the double dong, for two reasons, the colors were over all darker than they should've been and because the double dong was suppose to be blue. It can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4394251/ and lastly Blue Max, as her costume was suppose to be several differet kinds of blue. It can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4523880/ .
I have just corrected three more illos.
Posted 14 years agoThe corrected trio are: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3533886/ which is of Rainbow Brite, as the mask, her gloves and her boots were turned purple; http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3838731/ which is of Sky Squirrel, as he whole costume was turned purple, including the boots; and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4581813/ which is of Amy Treewick, who red clothing was too dark, so that you could not see the shadows on it. They are now all corrected.
Have just uploaded corrected illo. no 7....
Posted 14 years agoThis one being the picture that shows the legs of Helvetia, Fluer de Lis, Mega-Weasel and Doe Dynamo, from Gamemaster's floor-eye view, showing that the bed cover was blue, and the boots on Helvetia's feet were not as suppose to be lighter red.
