Posted 11 years agoI did mean to do one, honestly, but I kind of got sidetracked..and lazy...and...didn't do anything about it, so here I am updating about these most wonderous events that happened two weeks ago..approx.
EB had an expo out here to showcase the latest games, devices..the future of gaming and all that kind of stuff which lasted an entire weekend. I don't normally go to these kind of conventions, or really any non-furry conventions, but a certain someone was going as a surprise trip, so how could I pass it up!
Started as a normal day heading down to the convention center wondering what the morning had install for me since I was planning on meeting group of people down there. Finally get there and lo' and behold I am met by my long time friend who was going, that's right..
ranger went!!!
It was so awesome, I hadn't seen him and our other friend
bane for like two whole days! It was such a surprise and we were going to look the shit out of all the demos, rather than wait in line for like 2 hours to look at CoD..Battlefield..I don't know..generic army game insert title here...but it was the latest one!! Also went and looked at Pokemon X and Y...which..everyone has by now so nothing too surprising there...GOGOAT!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3!!!!
Anyway there was another person there..
aimeebunneh went!! Yeah okay so she bought 
taluthus along too, which was an incredible surprise since their appearance in Sydney was very last minute but we had so much fun laughing at all the little stupid things, as you do! Watched the new Killer Instinct, for some of you young kids it was a fighting game us old farts played!
The convention itself was very average, they charged per session with two sessions a day which was rediculous and then put different events on so if you wanted to see all the things you wanted to, well you had to fork out $200 for it. However as a day of hanging with friends and having lots of laughs, it was so awesome!! Plus I finally got to meet the face behind the sune..and it's not much to look at, you're better looking at his FA icon..sorry Tal ^^
Unfortunately I couldn't stay for the late night gaming session at Ranger and Bane's place since I headed into the city to visit my other buddy
flamedrake just to look at where he works, then ruin everything..mwahaha.
It was a great day though and one that will be going into the memory banks for quite a while, thank you everyone involved!!

Life Updates and Birthday
Posted 11 years agoSince getting back from the States a lot has happened,
Unfortunately it has mostly been of the bad kind,
So thought I'd better give a quick update since I won't be uploading new work for a little while
and my interactions on messengers will most likely be brief,
don't take it as a loss of interest, it is simply because I am going to be very busy.
My grandfather had a fall about a year ago which caused his state of life to deteriorate rather quickly,
When I got back from the states he had entered advanced stages of dementia
and has nearly lost all hearing,
What surprised us was my grandmother, who use to walk miles to keep herself occupied,
starting to have fainting spells and sudden blackouts over the last couple months.
Finally the hospital came to a conclusion after months of just "We don't know"
She has been diagnosed with lung cancer, however have to wait until Monday to get the full package on how bad it is and where to from here.
Ontop of that we are wrestling with our social services department to convince them that these two are sick and a carer's paid needs to be put in place as they can't look after themselves,
but you know what Government services are like. Which means I am also going to be looking for part time work,
So with all the doom and gloom out the way, remember August 1st is a special date, all horse's birthday..if you're in Australia, but I am sure it can extend for all horses!
Go shower them in love, apples and sugar!

In the midst of finishing up packing to head to airport for an enjoyable trip him..ugh..

End of AC..awwww...
Posted 11 years agoSo Anthrocon is finally wrapped up..and now the obligatory journal for the end of it has to go out, talk about the highlights, the amusement and craziness but honestly I do not know even where to start with this one,
I was told Anthrocon was going to be big..overwhelming..but I underestimated exactly what kind of size it would be, with 5k attendees and 1300 fursuiters, it was absolutely mind blowing to say the least!
Starting at the beginning, Wisty and myself turned up for precon registration, no events it was just to pick up badges. I assumed it was going to be a pick up badges and leave deal but it was more like an extra day of con. Suiters everywhere, gatherings and casual gaming all over the place. Did out best to catch up with some of my friends, will not be able to put links to all the names though since I met sooooo many people, and some just out of random completely!
Bumped into
SeverusCoil completely at random while he was doodling in the public gathering area so got to have quite a few conversations with him, plus we randomly bumped into each other around the con, such a charismatic guy too! Also 
Sparky_the_Chu was there for his first convention, he was as in much awe as I was. Managed to snag a pic off him too as he was drawing away, another really nice guy to chat with.
Got to meet up with such incredible friends too like
labbeh, 
meganovav1, 
talon_vague, 
coon, 
inkrabluegator, 
ante who really is something to see in fursuit, so colourful, and that swagger kitty himself 
kamunt Wonderful group of people that were regular visitors to the horse during the con!
Caught up with my good buddy
foxamoore after his charity performance too, was great seeing him. Did mean to hit the dealers den a lot more, I wanted to blow all my money in it..but I became addicted to the thrill of fursuiting too much and spent probably too much time in it however the overall reaction to it was so positive that it was hard to stay away! Plus with Anthrocon sponsoring the Equine Angels, which is a horse rescue and rehabilitation charity, horses were very popular. Such an awesome cause to get behind and well worth it in my opinion!
Only attended a few panels, there was so much going on all the time it was very hard to catch everything. Did get to see Sardyuon perform for the first time though and it is something you have to see in person at least once, I have enough trouble walking a flight of steps in fursuit so his acrobatic feats would make any ones jaw drop!
Also met two fursuiters with SparkyCanDo suits, Mish-Mash and his otter boyfriend. Such an adorable couple, especially while in suit, oh those heartstring moments. Derped around in suit a lot more, took part in the Death March which was thankfully not as long as I thought it was going to be since there was so many fursuiters. Also took part in AC's guiness world record attempt for most costumed people in one room...granted that there wasn't really a number to work with for it before, so technically we could have had beat the record with the amount of fursuiters you can fit in an elevator but still a very memorable thing to do!
Thoroughly enjoyable time all round, probably the biggest thing I've done since entering the community and might try to go again next year depending on circumstances but more than likely will aim for a smaller one. This was just a slight too overwhelming for me to fully wrap my head around!
So AC is over, everyone is leaving..some will feel the effects of post con depression, but don't worry guys...a new con is starting now, concrud!! And you have all been given free supersponsor level memberships, let the fun begin!! *Cough sneeze wheeze*
I could go on and on about more, but it has been an exhausting weekend, not to mention to 6 hour drive back to Philadelphia..poor Wisty. I will share more stories probably when I get back to Australia at the end of the week, and give Mac a good clean up and air out..he is going to need it >.>

Posted 11 years agoI am now finally settles comfortably and guess what, they let me through the border without any questions!! And here I thought a guy carrying an animal suit would have at least raised one eyebrow, then again the horse is soooo awesome they thought, how can America not have one of these!!
wisty got me from the Airport, I forced myself to sleep a little decently but jetlag did still make it hard to get up in the morning however we got to go out and see..American People!! Oh my god..they are like us..but..American!! So weird to see I tell you,
So far I am now all settled, have internets again after looking around for an international power adapter..and guess what..I now have a mobile...sorry..cell phone!!! So I can get all the messages and phone calls, my phone number is xxx - xxx - xxxx so drop me a message!!

Posted 11 years agoYeah that's right, tomorrow morning I fly out to harass all you Americans (and fellow international travelers) for nearly a whole month! I know who's not getting invited back to the States after this trip!!
Huge shout to to Wisty for temporarily adopting me for this time period, boy are you going to be one sorry dragon <3. I seriously can not thank him enough for his kindness by offering a stable for me, heaven knows it will be extremely testing on one's patience. I most likely wouldn't be going if it wasn't for him so make sure you all send thanks his way as well! Possibly before meeting me because then you will all be blaming him! :P
Will be staying in Philadelphia, then of course to Pittsburgh in a couple weeks for AC!! First ever overseas con so I have no idea what I'm getting into but from what I've seen there will be -alot- of people I know going so make sure everyone comes and says hi, buys me drinks and get your fill because who knows when my next trip will be. FurDU Wrap Up!
Posted 11 years agoSorry it has taken so long to get this out, things have been rather busy at the furry house hold and only now have gotten some time to sit down and put out my thoughts!
This FurDU (Furry Down Under aussie con for overseas friends) was definitely a huge eye opener for me and a con with a lot of firsts, most notably first time fursuiting which was so friggin' addictive, if not somewhat a test of endurance and the ability to pose over and over again, which lucky for me sexy comes second nature!
The response to the suit was incredibly positive and I thank everyone that came up to give me feed back, it was a little overwhelming at times but always great to hear! I really have to give a shout out to
solidscale for looking after me and doing the long tiresome jobs like grooming, adjusting and then peeling me out of the suit, was much appreciated it and not for the faint of heart!
It was also my first time doing incredibly amateur MC work next to flamedrake in our furry game show...sooo many eyes watching! x.x But it was also a real blast to just do crazy things, be stupid and make others feel foolish, I might have found a small calling in it with some practice! Not to mention trying to do some work in the fursuit games, however my muzzle was not designed to play nice with microphones..buuuut we live and learn!
Have a couple days left of doing things then will return to a more steady internet use to catch up with friends, right now just scouring the internet for pics so I can post them which means...I have to get on facebook I guess! Stay tuned for some sexy horsiness and thank you to everyone at the con!

Posted 11 years agoWhat a great night..about to sit down to pizza, movie and then play some games,
Then get a call to say my grandmother who had been out for most of the day visiting one of her friends in a hospital, got lost on her way home and fell having to go to a hospital herself >.>
I have been to many hospitals for similar things and I was sure of one thing...Friday night it's going to be a looooong night in a waiting room watching the crazies come in, but lucky us...we got to sit next to one that 'befriended' us.
Unfortunately my grandmother is a rather trusting naive person and strikes up conversation with her too, sealing this imaginary friendship while I'm trying to not seem too friendly so she gets the idea and buggers off.
We had a good 3 hours to get to know this person waiting for a damn bed, it's late..it's pouring rain and we're in a rather seedy looking area so I just wanted to get her out of there and go home. Anyway this woman doesn't seem too 'crazy' so when she asks to borrow my phone to make a phone call, I of course let her, following her when she leaves the waiting room to yell at whoever was on the other end.
Good thing I did since no sooner did she disappear out the door that her psychiatric doctor came up asking me where she went! So...its 11 pm, raining and pitch black and we're searching the streets and parking lots for this crazy woman because god damn it, I want my phone back!!
The doctor leaves to call the police and get hospital security, so I go into Sherlock Holmes mode and begin to think of the most rational place a crazy person would go when it's pouring raining, sure enough I actually found her and managed to retrieve my phone from this nut case while keeping her somewhat calm as security arrives to 'escort' her away.
My grandmother is still in hospital since they'll keep her for a day or so, I'm finally home with cold pizza and a possible cold coming on.
Terrible experience that might possibly make a good story one day!

I have been to many hospitals for similar things and I was sure of one thing...Friday night it's going to be a looooong night in a waiting room watching the crazies come in, but lucky us...we got to sit next to one that 'befriended' us.
Unfortunately my grandmother is a rather trusting naive person and strikes up conversation with her too, sealing this imaginary friendship while I'm trying to not seem too friendly so she gets the idea and buggers off.
We had a good 3 hours to get to know this person waiting for a damn bed, it's late..it's pouring rain and we're in a rather seedy looking area so I just wanted to get her out of there and go home. Anyway this woman doesn't seem too 'crazy' so when she asks to borrow my phone to make a phone call, I of course let her, following her when she leaves the waiting room to yell at whoever was on the other end.
Good thing I did since no sooner did she disappear out the door that her psychiatric doctor came up asking me where she went! So...its 11 pm, raining and pitch black and we're searching the streets and parking lots for this crazy woman because god damn it, I want my phone back!!
The doctor leaves to call the police and get hospital security, so I go into Sherlock Holmes mode and begin to think of the most rational place a crazy person would go when it's pouring raining, sure enough I actually found her and managed to retrieve my phone from this nut case while keeping her somewhat calm as security arrives to 'escort' her away.
My grandmother is still in hospital since they'll keep her for a day or so, I'm finally home with cold pizza and a possible cold coming on.
Terrible experience that might possibly make a good story one day!

Just finished booking flights and all that, saved myself a fair bit of money which usually means I'm going to have a dreadful flight x.x But still I'll be heading to the states for a few weeks!
Big thanks to my good friend wisty for putting me up..and up with me for this time!
Will be dragging my fursuit with me so make sure you come by and say hi, hello, g'day...and excuse the accent, I'll try and talk slowly for you poor folks to understand me!
I will try and do as much as possible while there too since it's so expensive to fly these days ugh..but still so excited!
Really looking forward to this!

So I finally did, mostly in part to the fact that I locked myself out of it and it won't let me attempt to sign in until next month or something. What better motivation!!

Ah the Dota 2 community, what nice people!

fel_phoenix as Riki, who I am growing quite fond of as a character, then sure enough someone decides to begin ripping into me for stealing kills and that I can't legitimately earn my own kills.
I'm Riki, soon as they begin group up of course i'm not going to jump in there first and initiate! I want to get some kills, not feed a group! Then begins bagging me about my abilities, my item choices and from my profile that I have never played a PvP match!
Yeah..it was disheartening...but at least to my satisfaction, I stole all his kills after that!
God I love being an ass!

Buuuut I need to pick prey for it, so here's where all you delicious little watchers that are
into that kind of thing get to come into play!

The Magic is Dead!!

Con is all complete now, but what a ride! So many memorable moments and got to meet a few popufurs in the process! Stupid me took one out for breakfast and didn't even know it until we were halfway through our conversation x.x But had a lot of fun anyway and was a good chance for one on one moment,
Not to mention got to meet Dark Natasha! Her smile is so bright, almost...creepy. During her panel she'd sit there with this huge grin staring over the crowd waiting for questions, but such a wonderful person,
So now what is next for the horse? Umm probably curl up in a corner with a bundle of hay and wait for the next meet I suppose until my next move next month!
Looking forward to chatting with you all again soon,

Posted 12 years agoAlready been a year since the last once, wow time flies so quickly sometimes!
Tomorrow morning I fly to Melbourne for a little gathering, will be gone for..well..not sure maybe two weeks thanks to the generosity of some friends being able to put my big, white ass up for accommodation every now and then!
Will be a blast, so will pack away laptop soon enough and get things together. I will still occasionally be on messengers on my Iphone but probably not too much contact will be had, will make sure to bring back lots and lots of souvenirs too!
See you all soon <3
