Just curious. I've been mining on my gaming computer for a while but I'm now in the process of building a cyrpto mining rig. Got a MSI Tomahawk motherboard with six pci-e slots with a cheap celeron, Thermaltake 1500w 80 gold psu, I've collected some 8gb RX580s and GTX1080s which I expect will do about $600/month mining BTC and Ethereum. I'm spending about $2k on hardware so the break even point is about 3.5 months. I'd really like some 3060s for mining but with the current hardware market you practically have to sell an organ for a 30 series. As it is I paid more than they're actually worth for every GPU I'll be running. Gotta spend it to make it and all that, by summer the machine will have broken even and started making money.

Anyone else think this shit is absolutely hilarious? I bought GME, BBBY, and NOK. We've seen a huge transfer of wealth from Wall Street to Main Street in the last few days orchestrated by the r/wallstreetbets folks, with no government gun involved. This is a kind of revolutionary action that is 100% legal and doesn't involve looting, burning, or violence and it is glorious. Don't piss off large groups of nerds.

Yesterday Dakota had surgery to have the three tumors the vet found removed. Everything went well, she's home now and hopefully cancer free. She's sore and doesn't like the cone of shame but everything should be back to normal in a couple weeks.

I've refrained from making political journals here because that's not what this site is about but this situation in the US is extremely dangerous. The capitol hasn't been breached since 1814. #civilwar is trending on Twitter. This is ultimately a much bigger issue than who's president. This election is just a catalyst. The political and cultural divide has been getting steadily wider over the last several years and it has finally reached breaking point. This country is splitting in two and people on both sides are angry and ready for blood. Those of us who just want to be left alone to live our lives won't be able to ignore this situation forever. When roughly half a nation's people view the president as illegitimate, where does that leave us? The logical conclusion of recent events only takes us one place. A few years ago I never realistically thought I would live to see the end of my country. I'm fairly well supplied for a shit hitting the fan scenario but I never really expected something of this magnitude to occur. Not to mention the possibility that a civil war in the US could domino into international conflict. Even if we're not witnessing the end of the US, it will be forever changed after this. These events will be read about in history books someday.

Things were going too well the last couple months. I've succeeded in quitting cigarettes, works been busy and I've been able to save and recently paid off two credit cards. 2020 just had to get one more hit in apparently. Found out today that my pibble rescue Dakota has cancer. Vet found 3 tumors that will have to be surgically removed. They're small, and she will probably be ok, but the surgery will cost thousands. Could use some positive energy right now. Sigh

I'm trying to upload a photo of my dogs and it keeps turning the picture upside down. I remember having this problem posting photos to fa years ago but I would've thought it would be resolved by now. Grrrr

I'm legit having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that my 30th bd is in about four months.

Idk if it's because I expected to be further toward my goals by this age, or because I don't exactly take good care of my body. Some combination of the two. I'm decently strong and a healthy weight but between smoking and usually eating junk, statistically truck drivers' avg lifespan is ten years shorter than average, and the combination of high stress and large amounts of caffeine can't be good for my heart. Realistically my life is probably half over if not more.

I doubt many of you are still paying attention to my page as inactive as I've been here the last few years, but I'm still alive. Just busy as fuck these days between dealing with financial stuff and various car projects and working on fixing up my house. Currently rebuilding a 97 Dakota, working on a new engine for my Regal, and restoring a 76 Torino. Regals new setup should be good for 11s when I get it back on the road. I'm aiming for it to see a dyno next spring. I don't visit FA nearly as often as I used to anymore, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still here. Oh yeah MFF reg paid finally. I kept forgetting. So I will be there. Who am I seeing? This MFF will either make or break my opinion of attending cons. My first MFF was a waste of time and the last couple I had fun but I was with my ex so always had people to hang out with there. If people ditch me again like at MFF'14 I'll just go home. But I know more people now so I dont expect it will go that way again.

I'm definitely going to need to start getting some new arts. Its been way too long. I've been trying to find the motivation to become active in the fandom again. Get back to commissioning art and maybe even have Kalak made into a fursuit. I still consider myself a furry. Life has just been so hectic these last few years. Ugh.

Hey everyone. I'm still alive. Back in November of last year my relationship came to an ugly end. I needed some time to get my shit together. In December I bought a house and started the long process of putting my life back together. Arlyn was sold, as it was just a reminder of a time in my life I was trying to forget. I moved all arlyn related submissions to scraps because for some reason FA wouldn't give me the delete option in submission management. Its been a hard year but I'm back on track now. I'm working 6 days a week still driving trucks, hauling steel. My computer business is going online very soon. My house is an ongoing fixer upper project on a nice half acre lot with big trees. My racecar will be back on the road next summer with a brand new build, shooting for high 11s on good tires. Anyway, I just wanted to let anyone who might be listening know that I am alive and I've reactivated this account. I'm going to try to slowly become active again.

Tl;dr- I'm still alive, single again, Kalak is back, Arlyn is gone, life has been tough recently but its getting better.

I want to start taking some more photos of my suit and find things to do in it. The problem is, I don't really have people to suit with where I live or even a reliable photographer. Theres only so many poses I can take selfies in with my phone. Life has been too busy for cons and probably will be in 2016 too. Ideas?

As far as my life. I'm single again. We broke up a few weeks ago and I bought a small house that needs some work. Busy adulting. Adulting is bullshit lol. I hope everyone is well.

So I've been watching fursuit dancing and dance comp videos and I'm casually toying with the idea of trying to learn to dance when I get mine, just because it looks like fun. Even though I'll probably just make a fool of myself.

Any experienced dancers care to share thoughts or tips?
