Posted a month agoAs the title says, I need to raise funds for a dental bill. The joys of no insurance.
I have only until the 19th to raise the funds, I have to get a root canel so it's quite expensive, my cavity filling came out well flossing so theres just a hole in my mouth until the 19th.
Commissions, donation, sharing the news around, anything helps. The estimated bill is around 1200.00 usd. Even getting part of the bill covered would go a long way.

NGL at the start of this year I couldn't have imagined getting to where I am right now it's a bit wild.
My new girlfriend treated me to sushi & misc stuff at a local restaurant, she makes me very happy uwu We're only around 3 months now since meeting but we get along well and communication has been perfectly what I'd want from a partner. She's also encouraged me to do new things so I've been selling at local art markets [if you ever see me irl-- no you didn't. lmao tho of course feel free to say hi just don't perceive my physical existence uwu] Her friends are all really nice and I feel like an irl kinda community has welcomed me uwu
Anywho, hope everyone's been doing well! As a more general update I finally re-did my commission example images again and slightly changed what I'm offering. Mini's also are slightly discounted from the price before since the style for them changed slightly but I like the look, the focus for them is always cuteness uwu
I think my arts really been progressing nicely since the start of the year

I used to struggle a lot with meshing two characters together in one scene/interaction or characters and a more abstract background not fitting together well. I also did some practice into different anatomy in more detail as well as clothing, colour and using textures without it being too... ugly, for lack of better phrasing.
All and all I just think its coming along great and my workflow in gen is getting smoother, pieces do take a little longer at times but I feel even quicker "sloppy" pieces are a better quality then ever before. Basically put I'm feeling good with how things are going.
I'm hoping to find a reasonable part time job so I can feel fully secure in money stuff since I hate feeling like I'm begging for commissions to survive but I have a place in mind and someone I met recently is sorta friends with the owner so I feel maybe I'll finally be able to get a job in my area. The job market around here is insanely unforgiving in that no one ever gets hired unless you get good RNG cause there's alota people unemployed and few places hiring plus of course they'll hire you part-time some places and then you get stuck with 42 hour work weeks which lol is NOT part-time. My body cannot keep up with full time hours at most minimum wage jobs [since youknow- they wont let employees ever sit and I have a joint condition] and I'd like to both earn rent and still have SOME energy to draw. Hard to find a balance in today's world really. Of course my dream job is basically a commission artist so I'll always be doing this on the side uwu

I've been upset over the possibility all morning, She's still got some energy but its much weaker then just yesterday and she's been puking. Lost interest in treats.
She's like 16, little white dog. Her current state reminds me too much of our last cat's passing so I just keep crying, I'll still be working on stuff but there may be some delays.

Since then i've been slowly getting out of sorta idk 'survival mode' for lack of a better way of sayin it. I haven't kept up with people or friends unless they contacted me first etc.
So if anyone feels like I tossed em to the side in the past few years my apologies truly. Sometimes living gets in the way of keeping up with those you wish the best for.
I hope to be more proactive in the future but it can still be a struggle sometimes.

Works been kickin my ass again :( its the 40 hour work weeks for my part time job lol. They say they need us all to work longer so we can deal with the seasonal changes n such.
Anywho my back is suffering. I stretch n such n lay down to rest it etc. But I was wondering what everyone else's tips were?
My tip for others would be to make like a gas station hotdog and get a yoga roller. The bumps work a decent massage and it cracks your back nicely. Still it doesn't do quite enough lol.
Well we're on the topic, anyone also got ideas for footpain? I have insoles n all but standing and walking around the store I work at for 8 hours for literally 5-6 days in a row definitely takes its toll lol.
I wish I could afford a massage frfr lol
Hope everyones havin a good one. Halloweens coming up but my works already putting out Christmas merchandise. 🎄 it's a lil cursed lmao.

Waking up to MASSIVE debt [Commission me]
Posted a year agoThis morning the Canadian government sent me a mail through the CRA website. Basically I have a debt of 20k to pay them now.
They claim I was not eligible for the covid support payments I received for a full year time period and want me to repay it in full. Now of course I don't have that kinda money, it's an insane amount of money. My student loans were cheaper lmao. I called them about it n they told me 'well its not that much monthly' basically. Which hard disagree, if I wasn't still living out of my mothers house I wouldn't have a shot in hell of paying them any part of it.
Regardless I had already sent them paperwork that they asked for to show my income from that time period and show why I needed those payments, they reviewed them and said that they don't agree. So basically I can't do anything about it. Sorry I needed money to survive during a time when businesses in my already shitty job market town, was hiring even less cause covid was in full swing ig?
To my understanding I am not the only person they decided to shove this on, they're basically trying to recoup as much losses from supporting the people of this country during a pandemic as they can. Definitely scummy vibes from the government.
Now they have given me a couple years to pay back 20,000 dollars. LESS time then they give you to repay a student loan btw, which normally is 10 years.

Like tumblr (but they dont allow nsfw lol) so basically where is the best place to share nsfw content in peoples opinion nowendays? Da and Pixiv i heard are both AI image flooded so they seem like a bit of a waste of time.

Hope everyones been well uwu I've been busy as you may have guessed. Various things going on rn that have been making things a bit erratic lol. Mainly I wrote fanfiction totalling in 80k words overall plus over 60 sketches to make one of the fanfics I wrote into like a pseudo light novel. As well as helping host as well as participating in various Zines. Mainly genshin or danganronpa stuff uwu
Ontop of that I finally got hired irl part time this month. The jobs at a decent place so it seems good. I've only had one shift so far tho lol I only seem to get one shift a week rn well training. Still it will help some with my needs n since im less desperate for money my commission prices have changed to a bit closer to what they should be imo. Also YCHs are all deleted rn. Some will get a remaster n be posted later n others are just gone forever since they never sold.
Other then those things I've been keeping busy with dougdoug videos or hasanabi stream vods oh and finally started playing Danganronpa S which can I say is p neat. I wasn't sure what to expect going into it but ngl I didn't realize it was half a board game. Still seeing the interactions have been nice. I got Junko and Mukuro's U cards so I plan on teaming them up uwu
As a side note my backs been hurting a ton lately idk why but if anyone has any good back pain tips lmk.

A pass for a year isnt too expensive so im thinking of getting one. uwu My weight loss journey has been decent im down to 170lbs now(total loss of 55lbs since starting)
Ive applied to a few irl part time jobs since commissions are still fairly slow. I assume the economy is still kinda bonked n all is part of it. If I cant find part time work n end up with a full time job I won't be offering commissions anymore. So if you want something done, well this month im still open at least uwu. I may open slots like 6 months after I get used to full time work if I feel like it but the slots would be limited n the prices would likely be alota higher since well. Not like I have much time for it by that point lol. I'mhoping for part time irl part time online via art tho ideally uwu I really like commission work after all ! I just need money to live :/
Oh in other news i bought my first really form fitting outfit I think I've ever bought for myself. I used to only buy baggy stuff cause tight fitting stuff made me feel really ugly ngl. But the top I got ngl is v cute. Im a huge fan of it. I want to wear it all week if I could ;×;

Ive applied to a few irl part time jobs since commissions are still fairly slow. I assume the economy is still kinda bonked n all is part of it. If I cant find part time work n end up with a full time job I won't be offering commissions anymore. So if you want something done, well this month im still open at least uwu. I may open slots like 6 months after I get used to full time work if I feel like it but the slots would be limited n the prices would likely be alota higher since well. Not like I have much time for it by that point lol. I'mhoping for part time irl part time online via art tho ideally uwu I really like commission work after all ! I just need money to live :/
Oh in other news i bought my first really form fitting outfit I think I've ever bought for myself. I used to only buy baggy stuff cause tight fitting stuff made me feel really ugly ngl. But the top I got ngl is v cute. Im a huge fan of it. I want to wear it all week if I could ;×;

Posted 2 years agoAh I had the worst twitter interaction lol I'm curious if others relate really. (On my nsfw twt so maybe that explains the whole thing lol story is sfw tho)
I did some freebies a bit ago (months i think now?) Didn't finish all of them n got a dm from an unfinished one. They came off fairly rude imo basically coming to ask for it to which i said i didnt plan on finishing cause i wasn't feeling it to which they complained it "wasn't fair" i finished others but not theirs lol. Entitled from the start but they dropped it back then after I insisted I had 0 plan to finish it. Its a freebie after all lol chill out.
They dmed me again today saying they wanted to pay to have the sketch finished (fairly sure i dont even have the wip anymore lol) I say same as last time I dont like the sketch so i dont plan to finish it if you want a commission i would only accept if we scrapped that sketch and went with a new one anyways since i thought the sketch was bad lol like legit the posing was awkward the body came out off and a buncha other stuff (i did it in like 5 minutes) it would be less effort to draw something new expecially with the old anatomy likely not even reflecting my current art that well.
They insisted they'd only want to commission that sketch done so i refused cause I know the product will look bad n not worth the money if i have to work with the sketch anyways. Like seriously it was a bad one hense why i trashed it in the first place lol? I'm not going to shell out a lazy product just cause someone insists they'd pay for it. They then complained about me refusing, insisted i was being really rude to them like it was something personal, like I was antagonistic or something idk. I have just kept refusing service cause the product wouldnt be worth the price tag imo. They insult my business practices as part of this all implying "why take commissions if you wont accept them" or some other nonsense. It was a lot lol. Im glossing over it a bit ngl.
But really they just would not take no for an answer lol. I said no at least like 5-10 times during that interaction. N i said to em take NO for a answer to which they replied i was rude so I just said bye and blocked ngl. Im not hear to play games with someone acting like a toddler throwing a tantrum.
Also as add on since idk where they fall exactly in the timeline of weird twt user interaction off the top of my head. They implied they didnt know my prices which was embarrassing for them in a tone that implied i was a bad person for not leaving my prices more out in the open (i dont get much work on my nsfw twt tbf so i just have my ychs pinned on that one lol but the prices are on my sfw twt which is linked to my nsfw anyways so its there if u look for like 5 minutes or less ngl)
They also implied they didnt remember what the sketch looked like? Which made me confused to why they were so insistant on not getting a new sketch/commission outright? If you dont remember it what does it damn matter just get one of similar concept??
Also they got mad when i replied "okay, hope you find someone. Cheers" to them saying they'd find someone else to comm if I wouldnt take it. Which like?? Im not gonna beg or argue lol i didnt even want to draw the piece lol chilllll
Also called themselves my client when they aint ever damn ordered from me before i didnt take your money, you aren't my client i don't owe you nothin. Makin such a stink bout "if this is how you treat clients" and all lol. I give what i get if that I was more civil then i needed to be cause i coulda just blocked em after they ignored my first no.
But yeah sorry for the word soup here i cant focus v well lately so its more a ramble then normal im sure. Anyone else delt with similar? Any comments on the gen events if you managed to read all this? I just think they were damn tiring (also posted art on their own twt so like just draw whatever u wanted urself)
