As I had suspected, so it has been done. The first imp picture of mines has been struck down by staff. Completely proving the fact as to why I don't trust the staff's ability to distinguish between shortstacks and children.

Alright, It's been a while since I've opened a block of commissions publicly, but I have a few bills to pay. But that's neither here nor there.

Ten spots are opening up, and we are going to do it as usual.

Cel-shaded pieces are $100, soft-shaded is $140.
Extra characters are 50% the base price each.
Modelsheets are being offered in two tiers:
-Basic modelsheet is front and rear shots of a character, flat colours at $100
-Full modelsheet is as before, front and rear shots of a character, with choice of a third pose (clothed, nude), or a handful of expressions starting at $200 (additions extra)

I am terribly late at posting pretty much everything, and my bud  severus had come to me a few weeks back to assist in the promotion of his kickstarter for the tabletop roleplaying franchise that I adore. If you've had the pleasure of playing the first edition, then you'll know that it's quite charming, and great to play. Now we have the second edition to delve into, and I personally can't wait. As many of you may know, and newcomers have not, today was the day of my little brother's passing. There was a memorial I attended, and a potluck picnic that I spent most the day at. Things have not been the same since he left us last year, and some would say the smile has left my eyes. I wouldn't blame them for stating so, because even a year later, it's hard to find reasons to genuinely smile. But, I'm chugging along, finding enjoyment in doing what I love, in drawing artwork and sharing with everyone. I'll just have to wait for time to heal the wounds, but just a year is too fresh.

I don't always signal boost, but when I do, it's pretty important.

As i finished tearing the roof off for the last two nights, I need to make the announcement that commissions progress are going to have to be pushed back a week or two, as my main driver has gone kaput. On cleaning out my system Friday evening, I managed to damage the motherboard somehow when re-seating the CPU (system temperatures have been creeping up steadily for the past year, and wanted to rectify that). Bent and broken socket pins greeted me after investigating an evening's worth of non posting computer.

That said, I have to gather up some funds to get a replacement motherboard for my system, an as that happens, I have to wait for the adapter to come in so I can hook up my tablet to my laptop to continue with the work; I'll just be without the working files for the WiP's i recently sent out is all. It's all just a huge inconvenience, really; once all the parts come back, everything will be back to our regularly scheduled program.

Alright, so I've managed to pay the arrears I owe this landlord here, but I will need to gather some followup funds so I can survive the next couple of weeks or so. In that case, I'll be opening up a second commission block. These will be completed when this current block is done, which shouldn't take too long from now. Rules are going to stay the same; no godly, profilificly detailed pieces less you pay extra; prices are going to be $100 each, and $50 per extra character.

It's not as dire as last time, so I only need 5 or 6 or so. You can apply below, and I will gather up the details when I get home from work tonight, after I vote.

TL;DR version:
I am taking a block of commissions to keep this roof over my head over some arrears brought to light. I'm looking for 10 slots to fill, bringing the price of my soft-shaded and cel-shaded to the same price: 100 plus 50 per extra character. You can apply below. I'll also be posting a submission with the same journal entry to get the word out. These said commissions will be started in 2 weeks, when the schedule is clear to give them my full focus.


Long, rant version:
I've been living at this building for over a decade, with a few rent troubles here and there. We used to have an apartment full of peoples; and now it's just me. So money is usually tight. I've been keeping up to date for the most part, but when i finally have a little bit of money saved up, you know to treat myself to something (i had planned for BLFC), they drop an eviction notice on me siting missed payment the middle of last year. And stupid me, trusting as I am, had no reason to keep money order receipts that long, so the payment I thought I made, I have no proof of, thus having to repay for that month. In light of that, I was taken to the rental board and a deal made to pay the owed rent plus admin fee by the 18th, and on time for the remainder of the lease, or face eviction.

So my BLFC plans were ruined, AND in need of a crapton of funds just to keep this roof over my head. I waited almost an entire week to post this, I was so furious. But, I can keep it together long enough to finish these commissions I'm to take to keep afloat. The only thing that needs to be expressed is that these commissions can't be done right away, naturally because of the situation They will be started 2 weeks from now when the schedule is clear enough to give them my full attention, so if you are not comfortable with that, you needn't not reply. But, a preemptive thank you to those who can.

I cannot express this enough. I'm still in disbelief of everything that's happened, and it still feels surreal that my brother is gone. Even now I'm still expecting to head to my mum's place and expect him to be there. But, as I'm told, it's going to take a long while to heal, and I'm just going to have to deal with that.
In the meantime, I'm going to try and get back into the swing of things in regards to art. I've been working on commissions quietly as I continue toi collect my thoughts, so I will be updating shortly, and to FurAffinity subsequently after. Maybe soon there will be some sembance of normalcy for me again.
Lastly, I'm not going to twist anyone's arm to contribute, but one of my brother's best friends had started up a GoFundMe to cover the costs of the funeral. Our church has helped us thus far, but it would be nice to help them back in turn by paying back what they had put forth for us.

Friday morning, at about 6:40 am, my younger brother was involved in a car accident. Details are scarce at the moment, but on review of the photo and news posts, it looks like he was t-boned by a car turning left at an interesection, spun out, and rear ended a light pole at what looks like to be a high rate of speed. His injuries were very extensive and had to be extracted from the vehicle. He died at the hospital before I could get there.

I am managing to cope as I usually do; zoning out and bury myself in art, my only true release, but my family does not have that luxury. I only ask that you send kind words of support for them, as they most likely need it more than I; especially my mother. I hope that in due time the hurt will stop for all of us, especially her.

Completion of commissions will be a bit slower, as i take a couple of days to re-compile myself, but will be back at full steam once everything is settled.
