So... I got back into my accounts
Posted 6 years agoIt has been a very long time since I've logged in to any of my accounts on here. Part of that has been because I forgot my password and is a pain in the butt to reset your password especially if your email has changed. The other part of it is that I, for the past two years, have not had very much time outside of work and school because both of those are full-time aspects of my life. I have been able to keep in touch with local people and stuff, but FA and art commissions and music have taken a real back-burner. I do have Telegram. There are still so many things I want to do, but when you take 12-16 credits and work 40 hours a week, with a dynamic schedule, it becomes tough to keep up. I do most things on Telegram right now because it does not require me to log in on a desktop, because FA cannot be accessed on its own iOS app. From my car catching fire to being in hospital from illness, It has been a rough ride.
I still have upcoming things, but yeah, Sorry about all the silence.

What has been going on the last few months (FWA15 Recap)
Posted 9 years agoWell, it has been very busy for me these past 3 months. I have been having some health issue and battling some ongoing depression. If it seems that I have been ignoring you, I haven't. I have just been unable to cope with my shit and I have been secluding myself on purpose. I have been able to get better at coping. Here are some organized paragraphs sorting out a few updates on my life:

Health Issues:
Well, I suspect a part of my depression has been due to my health. After a breif cancer (Colon) scare, I have been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and Hypothyroidism. This was able to sum up why my health had been dwindling over the past year or so. I have made some major changes to my diet as well as the portion sizes in which I eat. (at my peak, I was able to eat 2 whole 18 inch pizzas in one sitting!) Let's just say that I am lucky that I did not die of a heart attack. I have had high blood pressure issues though. With my controlled and balanced diet, I have been feeling tons better, but I also have been losing some weight too. I was peaked at 244LB and I now weigh 226LB. I hope that this helps with my crappy mood and depression. My depression makes me drink more frequently alone and like a maniac socially (we don't talk about it), which as a result will upset my ulcers if overdone. Also, my Adderall does not always get along with my Synthroid. My next course of action is to start exercising. I am making it a huge priority to make myself healthy. My job as well as the career path that I am pursuing (business) need me to be at my "A" game. I cannot be at my "A" game when I am in bad health.
Work and School:
Work has been the same old same old. I do notice that I am getting more and more frustrated at everything that is going on. When you work in the moving industry, you get all kinds of people. For example, we have worked with some MLB and NHL players moving to and from the DC area and even political figures. What I am more frustrated with are the "Time-Wasters", the "Complainers" about everything and, dear god, the "Nit-Pickers". I know that this is something that will exist in any sales and customer service entity, but we are talking about selling services for the 3rd most stressful event in anyone's life, you will get some really shitty people. It is more annoying to have to use the same fucking sales pitch every time will drive you insane. Luckily, now I have additional items to do, such as Sales Analysis and various Sales Metric Reports. The more I think about, I need to get my ass up and get back into school. I am planning on getting back to it in Fall. I need to meet with my advisor, both for NOVA Community College and George Mason University so I can resume working on my degree. Let's hope that I actually do this.
FWA2015 Recap and other cons:
I had a blast. It is always great to meetup with good friends and even make new ones.
, and 
are just examples of the many that I have hung out with (too many to type, sorry!). I have some regrets, but for the most part, I am satisfied. The new hotel was beautiful. My only issues were with the elevators and the people using them. Even on non-peak times, people were going up to go down and vice-versa. This made it a huge issue for those who were, or tried to suit. I got so fed up with the lack of etiquette, I jumped out of the elevator on a random floor and dragged 2 random non-suiters off with me in order for 2 other suiters to get on. I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO DO THAT, PEOPLE!! I did not get to suiting a lot this con, mainly because of the elevators, but also because I left my underarmour in VA. Instead, I was able to visit and meet with some dealers in the dealers den, such as 
rukis. I will say that I am appalled at level of crime that revolved around the con this year. For one, my condolences continue to go out to 
Skyprofursuits for their unfortunate loss. I have also been hearing of fursuits, heads another parts being stolen from the Headless Lounge. To top it all off, My condolences also continue to go out to 
Doryuu for losing his suit with TSA and Southwest. I had a blast and cannot wait until next year. I will try to get a higher floor next time, so that the elevator would not be such an issue. I found that 18-30 was the highest traffic level. My next con planned is FurTheMore which will be held in Tysons Corner, VA on May 29-31 2015. I mean, I am 4 miles away, so I can surely afford to check it out. I wanted to go to MegaPlex in July, but there is a long story there on why I can't. In short, I was screwed out of the time off. I did negotiate free vacation days for the entire duration of my FWA trip as a result, which is positive. Given my car situation (next item), i think it is actually a good thing to wait on another expensive con and build up more savings. It does suck that MP was my first con and this will be the first year since that I am going to miss it, but such as life.
FWA 2015 aftermath and post-con week :
One thing that I did do after FWA was re-open my social media dealing with furry stuff. I use FB and LinkedIn for RL stuff, but now, I have a twitter, just for furry stuff, with an after dark account coming soon. You can follow me @FantasticMrFolf. For those that follow me, you will know that I got into an accident the morning after I returned from FWA. I am fine, but what had happened was that an SUV must have put herself in reverse for some reason, then forgot. We were in bumper to bumper traffic on a congested exit ramp getting off the highway. As traffic moves up, she accelerates into my Saab. I pull to the side shoulder and so does she. She got out and looked at her car while, I was digging out my info. She asked me if I was alright, then after I respond and proceed to find my phone to take down her info. She gets back in her car and leaves. There were NO witnesses, or ones who would care enough to be one (that is Virginia for ya). I also had to wait 2 hours for a State Trooper to stop and meet with me to get a report for a Hit and Run. I was mad, but very appreciative for the AAA truck that waited 45 minutes for me to explain things to the officer. My Saab was declared a loss, because they said the bumper "needed" to be replaced. They cost 600-800 alone, so I can do without. I got the money and am choosing to take a little less and keep the car. I am getting a check that will get the radiator and AC condenser fixed, but then they leftover money can be used to fix the body. Nothing needs to be replace, but there are some things that can be aligned to make it looks decent. I have put enough of my time, money and labor into my Saab and i am NOT giving up on it. I know I am not the only one to say this, but my FWA post week has been awful. I have been on-edge, moody and stressed about everything. Work does not make it any easier. Let me put it this way, I helped my friends move last weekend and had a blast. You know you have had a bad week, when your antidote consists of actually moving your friends to their new home. Another positive is that as of Tuesday Morning, about 3am, I bought a 2nd fursuit (not of my sona, but of a friends, whom I wanted this suit to go to a great home). The suit should arrive Friday to when I will likely post a #fursuitfriday on Twitter when I get it out and put it on. I have not decided yet. I will also consider the other suit they may eventually sell off as well. I will need to save up, but I know that I can give the suit(s) a good home. Thanks to Wildmark for holding my other suit, which he kindly sold to me as well. *hugs*

FWA Bound!! and other stuff. NEED A ROOM?
Posted 10 years agoWell, it is time for the semi-annual journal change. I guess that is what it has come to. I used to make journals much more often, but work has been work. Promotions, while mean money, mean even MORE work and less time on FA and other computer things. Every now and then, I get a note asking me if I am dead or if have I left. They are entertaining notes and for anyone that thinks I have forgotten about them, I haven't. I know I may not talk as much as I used to, but I am working on finding that work/play balance again. Sorry to those that had those thoughts.
Anyway, onto the good stuff. I will be making FWA this year. I really wanted Megaplex too, but I got extra vacation days offered to me as someone else already took the same time to go out of the country.
I will be flying in to check in around 3pm on Thursday the 9th and check out on the 13th. I currently have a Double Bed Room all to myself and will be willing to share with someone who needs a roommate. Contact me for details.

FWA 2014 Recap
Posted 11 years agoWell, it is that time again, where another convention has ended. Now, since I am posting this, it is safe to say that the PCD has passed on. I have begun transitioning back into everything that was put on hold during FWA. Emails had been backing up, in fact, there were times in the early morning, where I was either on the phone with my boss or on the phone with one of my international clients. Granted, I am getting paid for doing that on vacation time, but it just goes to show you that I really am a busy person. Once I got the important items out of the way, I was completely turned off from the office. The main reason for my PCD is the instant transition back into the busy life of getting up at 6:30am and dealing with meetings once again. I almost walked out of the house with a husky tail on. I had just been used to wearing the tails, I guess. I was unhappy to come back home to snowy weather in the forecast after dealing with nice weather in Atlanta. The snow, even at minimum accumulation, seems to cause panic on the roads in the DC Metro area. Anyway on to some highlights.
I had a very good time, especially seeing everyone that I hadn’t seen since my last con in July 2013, but I also found it awesome to find and meet a few people that In had been chatting with for quite some time. I did NOT get to see everyone I had hoped, but I also was not spending the entire con tracking them down.
I bought and wore my first husky tail from I took it to the rave and fun things happened. I am officially addicted to curly husky tails! Thanks Azul!
This year, I did suit, which is kind of a long story. The fursuit in which I performed with is NOT my character. It is a very good friend of mine’s character. There were some circumstances in which I was able to acquire ownership of the suit. I do hope to get started with a suit on my own character within 1-2 years. I need to make sure that I plan it out responsibly. Anyway, the character is a kangaroo named Djur. The character itself is owned and copyrighted by . I did not bring any good clothing to dissipate heat as I am an idiot, so I had the unfortunate event where I would heat up much too quickly. I did not suit as much as I had really wanted, as a result. I will try to fox that for Megaplex in July. Only 4 months on the dot until that con. As a result of not suiting as much, there are fewer photos taken. I have yet to see one photo yet. I was in the parade and in the group photo though, so I know that I will show up there.
This has probably been in EVERY FWA journal, but the elevators. I have heard that the elevators were “better” than last year, but I am still upset about a few things about the elevators. For one, the way they seem to be programmed does not make sense. I have had elevators ring that they were going to open, but NEVER did. Aside from being full (to be expected in many conventions with lots of rooms and limited number of elevators. What I could NOT stand was that there were many people not giving suiters priority. I was lucky to get in elevators pretty quickly when in suit, but when I was out of suit there were people that did not hold doors open for suiters or try to make space to get them to their rooms quicker. Last thing about the damned elevators is that they required room key for floor selection. That is a VERY bitchy thing to require, especially with full-body fursuiters.
I had a really great time this weekend and I will definitely have to come back for 2015. I had some nice badges made by dragonmelde and will soon ask her to do a reference sheet to FINALLY finalize my character. I will post some photos of them later. I was blown away by them.

Posted 11 years agoI kind of suck at journals, mainly because I keep forgetting to make them. In the year since my lat journal, I have been to a couple of conventions, and plan on going to a few more in the coming months. I did not go to many furry conventions before, mainly the lack of being able to plan out in advance from work. Our time-off policies have changed allowing me better flexibility to take personal time off.
My upcoming conventions for 2014:
Fur The More - Hunt Valley, MD (50% likely - Commute/NO HOTEL)
Furry Weekend Atlanta - Atlanta, GA (100% Confirmed)
Balticon SciFi - Hunt Valley, MD (100% likely - Commute?)
MegaPLEX - Orlando, FL (100% likely)
I was thinking of scouting the Fur The More this year, but with everything that has come up, Car repairs, Unscheduled Leave, and Registration/Taxes due on my car, I am not sure if this extra con is feasable for March, but I may manage to check it out on Saturday.
UPDATE: Brake Pads AGAIN! Need those to be put on my car and do not know if they can wait until April. My chances of showing up at this con this year are very slim to none.
FWA, Balticon, and Megaplex are all confirmed for me. Next year, I will try to get back into school a bit, so I am not sure about cons yet, but I would like to swap FWA out for MFF or TFF.
I do have a suit to perform in now, but have not tried it on for months, so I may need to lose some weight to get back into it or make a new bodysuit. It is's character, but for me, It is a suit. Well....This is a long-awaited journal update
Posted 12 years agoTo all of those that still watch me and follow me on here, I applaud your patience and understanding for this long.
Many people that once watched me, unwatched me. I can understand this, as I was not as active on here as I should have been for almost 2 years now. In this time, many things have changed. Changes have come and gone, some being for better and some for the worse. One thing is for sure, and that I am stuck going through my 38850 Submissions from inbox (many of which are saying deleted, so skip those). I wish that I could Nuke them all and start over, however, that is not an option as I end up getting an HTTP 503 error in the process. As stated earlier in this journal, a lot of things has happened since my last journal. For starters, I am taking a break from college as Financial Aid has done everything in its power to screw me over. I had financial aid delay decisions on acceptance and subsequently deny me that aid 3 times now. For the first two times, I paid out of pocket from savings and loans from mum and a couple scholarships awarded to me, but those have now run out. So at this time, I am not enrolled in college as I cannot afford the $9,500 it costs per semester. The second time i paid out of pocket, I had a part-time job and was making some money, but the hours were crazy and unreasonable. It was not easy for me to be balancing that and schoolwork at the same time. I know it could be done, but I sure as hell was struggling finding the balance. I do plan to go back, but I will attend community college and maybe do the "bull-shit, required for every degree classes" there before moving on to get my associates degree and go from there. My last math level was Vector Calculus II (Multi-variable Calculus II) so I have no problems there as that is proficient enough for a Bachelors Degree in IT or Computer Science, but the problem is that I failed that last course. I currently work full-time and I have regular gatherings with friends at least 2 times a week to keep my sanity up. I will not go into details with my job, but it does involve catering to a part of the Furry community in some ways, which is pretty cool. I am still living at home at 19 (almost 20 years old), but I do pay a share of things, such as a static and affordable fee that I started paying mum (voluntarily to pay off a debt (loan for college tuition) and now to help out with bills).
Anyway, this is getting to be a little long now so I will wrap things up. I still play Synthesizers and enjoy doing that. I will try to record more of that. Thank you for your patience and understanding that I am still here. I will try harder to be a better part of this community,

He apparently was a hit. I wish I could have been there but with my mate there instead, I will get a few souvenirs as if I was actually there. Give the fox lots of hugs if you see him. Oh hell Megaplex is OVER. Journal posted too late. I am too lazy.... (nah just a busy schedule).

Man i wish i could've gotten concept art sooner. i waited and now i lost my commission for them. i am such an idiot. well maybe i will be able to get a suit commission from her soon. anyway. take care all.
