19 Years in Furry
Posted a year agoStarting today, December 10, marks the 19th year of me being involved with this fun community that we call furry. I still remember the night I looked up furry on Google after someone on a forum mentioned furries. I knew of furry before, but didn't think much about being immersed into it until this cold December night in 2004. Things were never the same since, so here's to more enjoyable years!
18 Years in Furry
Posted 2 years agoI realized that since December 10, I passed my 18th year being involved in the furry fandom. Sure doesn’t feel like it! I am thankful for getting to enjoy all that furry has to offer, along with many of the friendships I have made and the places that I have been, thanks to furry. Here’s to more fun adventures in the upcoming years!
FC? Anyone? Who will I see?
Posted 9 years agoSo, who will I see at FC this year? I'll be there! And it's my birthday con, as I get one year older the day before the con starts :)
Ten Years in the Fandom
Posted 10 years agoToday marks my 10th year of being involved in furry. I remember the cold December night in 2004 when I was bored, looking at random things on the net, then someone mentions furries on a non-fur message board. I got curious and Googled “furry”, and things haven’t been the same since. Suddenly, I had this eureka moment hit me from out of nowhere while searching Google on everything furry. Every waking moment I would do as much research on the fandom as a whole - the groups, individuals, costumes, cons, you name it, I wanted to know about it!
I did know about the fandom’s existence before, but I didn’t think about it much. From the late 90’s to early 2000’s, I’ve seen tidbits on the net and TV about these people interested in costumes and art (along with the infamous TV shows that I won’t mention here) I never had the idea of getting involved with the fandom until 10 years ago. Hey..I can have some fun with this!
I got to know some fuzzies online, and it might of been February or March of 2005 when I decided to meet some fandom members in person. I went to the local Chicago LAFF meet, and I got to know even more people that night. After knowing that I can handle being around furries in person, and seeing how awesome fursuits are, I realized this furry thing is definitely for me!
My first convention was AC 2005, when it took place in Philadelphia, PA. I got on the train and made it to town in a day or so. Walking into that con was an awesome experience from the start! After AC, I confirmed that to myself furry is a definite interest for me :) I didn’t get scared out!
Over time, I’ve had some life changes, but furry has always been along for the ride with me. I’ve gone to so many places, met so many people, made lots of friends, done so many things, so furry has been a major benefit for me. It even opened me up a bit as I know that I’m a lot more outgoing these days, and I have furry to thank for some of it! Back then, I wanted to have a fursuit, and now I have 10 fursuits waiting for me at my place! I never get tired of looking at these cheerful critters looking at me :)
At some point, I want to put together a little celebration of my decade in furry. However, I might combine it with my Birthday in January, so it will have extra awesomeness!
Here’s to many more years to come in the fandom! *toast*

MFF? Yes, MFF..
Posted 10 years agoIt's that time of the year again, with Midwest Furfest happening next week. I'll be there, and I hope you can make it too! This is my home con, since it's geographically the closest furry convention to me. I plan on bringing pretty much all of my critters, so I'll be arriving with a car overflowing of fuzz (and two guys in the front!)
So, who will I see there?

My first Animated GIF!
Posted 10 years agoMy Experience at AC 2014
Posted 10 years agoIt was a blast! That's a good way to describe it.
As usual the con was really busy but that is expected. It always gave me something to do!
I'm glad that I got to spend some time with friends and even make a few new friends last weekend. You know who you guys are :)
This time I think I got a good amount of fursuiting time in, mainly being EP and Flagstaff. Sure I did try a couple of other critters (heya kait!) I forgot how awesome Red Pandas are, put it that way ;)
Some of the only disappointments would be not being able to get a con shirt, since I got there too late (on Sunday) and they were sold out of both this year's and the previous year. Bummer. I just "hope" that AC gets more runs of shirts. It's my way of getting something from the con, since I get too cheap and I don't buy anything out of the Dealer's Den >< Oh too, not once did I get a fursuit tag. I guess I wasn't in the right place at the right time..usually I have good luck getting one of those things XD
I can't believe that it's already been a week since I was running around as some fuzzy critter in Pittsburgh. But it was a memorable one. I hope to hit up another good con, but which one? There's so many cons I can't even keep up with them anymore :P

Another trip around the sun, birthday time!
Posted 11 years agoYep, I only have two more years to go until I'll out of my 20's. So today was my birthday, and I don't feel any older. However there's still a few things that I want to do before 30, and one of them is to travel outside the country for once. Even if it's just to Canada, I'm totally fine with that! Plus I'll get to use my Passport :3
The last few years I got to celebrate my birthday at FC, so that was fun. And so much has changed for me since my last birthday. But anyways, yep..I'm another year older.

Since everyone's doing it, here's my Weasyl account
Posted 11 years agoMFF! Who will be there?
Posted 11 years agoAs the subject line asks, who will I see at this con?
FCN? Who will be there?
Posted 11 years agoAs the title asks, who will be there? I'll probably bring 3 to 4 fursuits for this. It's gonna be my first year at this con. Whee!
FWA Time! Who will be there?
Posted 12 years agoLike every year, I'll be at FWA, but this time I'll be there earlier than normal. Possibly sometime around early Thursday. So, who will be there??
Moving back to Illinois
Posted 11 years agoAs the subject describes, I'm moving back to Illinois next month..the central part of the state that is. Well if you wanna get more precise, it's my hometown I'm going to. I got a new job with better benefits and more challenges.
I've been here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over 4.5 years, and I think I've spent plenty of time here by now. Sure, I'll miss the nice hospitable people, the nice long beaches, relatively warm weather all year around, friends I made..all of that! However this isn't home for me, and it hasn't been since day one.
I'm sure that I'll be back in the South sooner or later..there are still a bunch of cool things that happens out around this part of the US, so if I happen to be around here and if any of you know something that's going on, let me know!
And for anyone in the Midwest, feel free to contact me when I get there. I'm looking forward to meeting old friends, and hanging out and doing things with the LAFF group again. I realize that it has changed quite a bit since I left, but I know that the group is still present. Furbowl and Softball meets FTW!
If any of you Southern fuzzies happen to be up my way, let me know too! I won't forget others who I have befriended, no matter where it is.

Well it's 2013..where did you spend your New Years?
Posted 12 years agoAs the subject describes, where did you spend your New Years Celebration?? Curious..
I spent mine with Yappyfox on the beach watching people and the casino\hotels around us set off fireworks. Yappy was in his Rummage suit, and a few people asked what the critter was for. I dunno..good luck charm? XD

That little thing we call Anthrocon..
Posted 12 years agoIt's that time of the year again..Anthrocon 2012 is coming up!
I haven't been there in two years, and I'm missing it!
I'll be bringing only two critters, and I think I have it narrowed down to a yote and a dog.
I'll be getting there late night Wednesday, and staying through Monday. So, who will I see there? Anyone wanna meet up?

Re-attempt to sell the skunk! Fursuit for sale :) (Sold!)
Posted 12 years ago[Update] I just found a buyer and he's going to a good home. Thanks for anyone who's expressed interest in him!
A while back I tried to sell the skunk, but over time I didn't really get anywhere with finding him a new home. So here's another attempt (and another chance) to get an awesome critter!
Pics!

Back: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2994233/
Handpaws: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2445465/
Most of the fursuit is self-made, but the head was made by Whitefox of Arend Studios. He’s a very sly but playful character (as you can see it with his facial expression) This Skunk gets great reactions from everyone who meets him!
It’s a comfortable suit that’s very roomy and versatile. All parts are built to be strong and easily fixable. The tail is separate from the fursuit body, and is on a nylon strap belt (which is included!) Removable padding is in the chest area. The zipper to get in and out of the costume is in the front. The feetpaws are based on a pair of soft plush sneakers, which feel very very cushiony and bouncy, and have gotten some compliments on how comfortable the feet are. Like all Arend Studios made heads, the vision is great and the head is VERY durable.
Since it’s the whole costume, you’ll get the head, body, tail, leg extensions, chest padding, handpaws, and feetpaws. If you need any advice on how to maintain the costume, I can help you out with that. If you're taller, I can possibly add a longer leg extension to the mix.
Here’s the maximum sizes. If you’re at, below or slightly above these measurements, you’ll fit!
Height: Up to 6 feet 1 inch (with leg extensions)
Waist: Up to 45 inches
Shoe size: Up to a mens size 12
Soooo..make an offer! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Just note me here on FA. Get back with me on the cost of shipping. Thanks ^^

Oh noez! Another FWA post..who will be there?
Posted 12 years agoYep, I'll be going to FWA this year like always, but only from Friday through Sunday night. I think I'll bring all of my critters with me to this con :) So who will be there?.
Road Trip to FC! And the ever so lovely roll call..
Posted 13 years agoHey fuzzies.. stuntcoyote and I are on an epic road trip, going from the Mississippi Gulf Coast to San Jose in the matter of 5 days. We're planning on passing through Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona (maybe Nevada) and finally into California. Currently we're on the road somewhere in Texas, and so far so good. We'll have to watch for any snow storms along the way, but that's about it in poential hazards (but we did bring snow chains, just in case!)
So...who will I see at FC?? Comment!

7 years in the fandom
Posted 13 years agoDecember 10 marks the 7th year I've been involved in this silly little thing called the Furry Fandom. Throughout the time I've been enjoying it, I have met so many great people and gone to so many awesome places, because of my interest in this fuzzy stuff.
I still remember the time I got bored one night and a message board gave me the idea of Googling furry. Oh boy that sure was a mistake ;) I stayed up that whole night trying to find as many things as possible, from conventions to fursuits and everything in between. I didn't let many know of my existence until the following month, in January.
24 Furry cons and 7 fursuits later, I'm still loving every moment of it. Here's to many more years of enjoyment! Maybe forever lol..

That Midwest Furfest thingy...
Posted 13 years agoSince everyone is checking in right now, I might as well do the same thing.
So..who's going? I'll be there! :D I should be showing up sometime during Thursday and will be in the Chicago area for a couple if days after the con.

Fursuit body styles?
Posted 13 years agoI briefly asked this question on Twitter yesterday, but now I want to get some input from this side of the web.
With a toony dog fursuit, what do you prefer? A form-fitting body, relaxed fit or a baggy fit?
I'm still making a decision on this for a future project, not building a new character but rather replacing parts ^^

Oh hey there..I'm still around!
Posted 13 years ago(x-posted between here and my LJ account)
Hey silly fuzzies!
I haven't posted in a while, but I'm still around. In fact I went to MFM last weekend and I had a blast hanging out with friends and other people who I haven't seen in a long time. Well worth spending Labor Day weekend on it. Oh too, I totally missed Tropical Storm Lee, so by the time I got back to the coast the weather was clear and the area was drying up.
The reason\excuse for not posting in a while? I have a good one: I've been really busy with some personal things. Pretty soon there's gonna be a lot of changes coming up in my life. In fact, I might sell some things of the fuzzy kind to help make the move easier..put it that way. So stay tuned :)

And to Yuchi, Tilt, Yippee, Kofu, and Jimmywolf (and Char for propping me up so the pyramid stunt won't end up in disaster) thanks to all of you for helping me out with this (on a somewhat short notice) :P

Question to photographers: EXIF data and FA?
Posted 13 years agoQuestion to all of the photography geeks out there:
Does FA seem to have a problem with displaying EXIF data in certain pictures? I swore that some of the pics I've submitted had valid EXIF but it won't reflect that on FA. Hmm..maybe I'm missing a clue somewhere?
Also I wonder if FA will ever support Geolocation on pics. The concept of seeing where you took a pic on a map is an awesome thing, imho.
