We got 11th month recently. Living about 400-500 km away from the Ukraine border might be 'quite normal' as you may say. But I still have this thought in the back of my head: It isn't matter of if... it is matter of when we will be attacked.

The issues of Russian government have is disturbing. Especially when there are political forces that want to connect with them at all costs, even if they not get anything back in exchange.
Curretly, as experts says, there is not a chance for being attacked, but it is still disturbing seeing people who had to left their homes for life.
I don't host any Ukraine family, but there are few of them under my employer protection in our offices. Some of them might come back, some will stay longer.

Along comes another question when it will stop. Even getting rid of that dumb on Kremlin won't change much - the chain of command might be still working.

Sorry for that. I had to let my thoughts out.

For some years now I have my own science/fantasy fiction universe: Dimension of Alive Machines.
It was inspired by several artist artworks around Living Machine community.

I wrote some stories, but they are currently only in Polish language.
I'm translating them slowly to English (but as I am busy at work most of the time, it goes very slow -and this is a side work)
When done and checked, I'll upload them here. - Had some on DA before move to FA.

Now a bit of description what you may find there:
- Living machines obviously which have special abilities thanks to technology (upright form, normal craft form, usual size, human size)
- Humans
- Animals
- Space / Time travels / Portals
- Real history mentions.*
- Commons from our world**

*Based on true story / total fiction with true stories anchors.
**Culture / religion / moral systems / dilemmas / paradoxes / etc. - things may vary, taken into philosophical or casual disputes between characters.

Have wonderful time with your families and/or friends.

Few months ago I joined an VR world: AltSpaceVR www.altvr.com
This world is mostly meant for VR gogles users but also can be run on computer and android devices (Desktop app).
As this world is highly connected and also developed with Microsoft many things are still not in.

With comparison to Second Life - the immersive is higher, but there are some things that are missing:
- Chat - as mentioned it is meant mostly for VR users - which use mostly voice chat, no typed open chat as for now.
- Instant Messaging - complicated in use - one person at a time, the message just pop in and clear most of your view twitter like limitation = 144 characters for a single message (often the interface capped).
Also the graphics. It is a low poly more cartoonish style, but some spaces created in Unity are much more realistic (especially those created with photogrammetry)

This world for now not allows avatars other than humanoids. Also most avatars does not have full legs (usually render stopped around hips or knees - depends on how long trousers/skirts you choose as avatar clothes).
There are lots of optios to go through in customizing your humanoid avatar. I've already saw green, blue, white avatar skins.

Hopefully in some future time we might have some other avatars available.

If you start as new in Second Life, you will need to choose avatar.
Usually it can be human or animal - once we had also vehicles as start option.
The one chosen on account creating is NOT for the entire time - there are people who still use those, even they are over 2 - 3 years in.

Is this a problem? Not at all. The problem is when such person acts like a noobie - that means:
"I created account only to look around and not to use SL often" - usually such motivation is a non trusted one.

Why?
Because most of Second Life residents at some point change their basic avatar, even just slightly (change of clothes, Animation Override, InC talk or OOC talk)
And that can be anything, you may be inspired by something you saw in TV or Internet.

Let me give you an example:
I've started with Human male avatar. After few weeks of learning how things works, I've changed clothes to a suit - same avatar differnt clothing
Then I've watched some TMNT again and after search found some cute Donnie av on marketplace.
Meanwhile I got also the ExVeemon, but I could not change outfit...
Then the Baked On Mesh functionality came in, so I bought a mesh body and change and update my avatar.

You may need to combine different parts from different outfits - experiment as much as you can!
Your limits are: imagination and technology.
If you can't find a part, you may consider make your own, or you can find someone who make it for you.

Ok you got your parts, but the colors... are not matching, and textures are no mod (cannob be modified) - what to do?
Ask the creator for textures or tga files so you can use your own colors. It is the best solution.
Only when you got denial, you may use other ways.

Is avatar development tricky? Yes
Is avatar development hard? No

Tips? MAKE COPY! So if something goes wrong, you still can revert changes - learned that hard way few times.

Okay. I'm slowly moving my artworks and stuff here from what I had on DA.
I hope till end of the year I'll have all planned things in galleries.
