Posted a day agoHi everyone, I want to be upfront and say that I really fucked up, and I owe you all an apology.
I didn’t anticipate how intense my 3-month Tech bootcamp would be, and unfortunately it left me with little time for anything else. I'M REALLY SORRY FOR THE DELAYS.
Today was my last day of classes, which means I can now FULLY dedicate myself to completing all pending commissions starting TODAY. Tonight, I start working through everything on my queue list, and I aim to finish all commissions by next week. REST ASSURED, I won’t leave anyone hanging this time (my classes are completely done and I am fully back)
As a way to make up for the delays and missed opportunities (like Halloween), I’d like to offer everyone on the list below a free slot of choice in any of my upcoming YCHs. This is my way of saying thank you for your patience and understanding. Unfortunately, I’m unable to provide refunds at the moment, as I wouldn’t have enough to make it through January if I did, but I hope this compensation will be acceptable.
Once again, thank you so much for your patience and support. I hope this hasn’t caused too much trouble for anyone. Completing this bootcamp was essential for me to move forward in life and secure a stable job, which is something my family and I really need right now. This year has been incredibly tough (mentally and physically) but I’m doing my best to stay calm and push through.

I know a lot of you are worried that Halloween is fast approaching,
I want to make sure that I make it on time and send it to you before Halloween starts! ;u;
I didn't realize that my classes took a lot of my free time so it made me not work on commissions regularly. I am still working on them though! I will be sending them in batches.
Next week (Starting tomorrow Monday) I will be sending out your commissions through email - I may post them here starting tomorrow but we'll see what my free time is like next week~
Again thank you so much for being so patient with me! November won't be as busy as this month so I'll be able to regularly update again

FA Hack: How to Reach Me Outside FA
Posted 4 months agoHey everyone, Quick update—since FA got hacked and was offline for the last three days, I want to make sure we stay connected and everything goes smoothly. I’m planning to set up a separate website for Cheddarpup soon. It might be my own site or possibly something on Twitter (X), Discord, or elsewhere (if you have any good recommendations let me know).
It’s been really stressful, especially since FA is my main source of income until the end of the year while I’m job hunting (upskilling) and dealing with a family crisis.

I've been using FA for quite some time now, and I've maintained my pricing without making any changes. Which is why I'm reaching out to gather some of your feedback on my current YCH pricing and bids. Your insights mean a lot to me, so I'd be grateful for your thoughts on the following questions:
* In your opinion, do you feel that my current pricing is set too low, too high, or just right?
* Would you suggest a decrease, increase, or leave the current pricing as it is?
* Are you more inclined towards auctions, or would you prefer YCHs available for sale upfront?
* How would you feel about me reusing some of my old YCH bases to resell again?
* Would you like to see more "multi-YCHs" in the future? Are there specific features or themes you would like to see more or less of in future YCH offerings?

Your encouragement has been helping me get back into creating cute art and YCHs again. It’s been a significant boost for my mental health and also helps me manage my monthly expenses. So, I truly appreciate each and every one of you for your help.

It has been overwhelming, but I'm back.
Posted 10 months agoI know I've been gone for a while, but trust me, it wasn't on purpose, and I'd never leave you guys without a proper explanation. Since July 2023, I've been on a rollercoaster. First, my work contract ended, job market was shitty with all the tech layoffs and I needed a way to hustle for rent—a temporary setback I managed but then something even more unexpected happened
For the past six months, I've been in a rough spot, grappling with the news of my mom being diagnosed with lung cancer. She had a major operation in early August to remove it, and the journey hasn't been easy. I needed a break from everything, even job interviews. It was overwhelming, and I lacked the willpower to focus on anything.
The good news is that I was able to visit her during the holidays and she is doing well with her chemotherapy, I've also scraped by (barely) financially until now. I owe you all an apology for disappearing suddenly. I'm working hard to get back on my feet and do something creative again. Living in a different country from my parents adds an extra layer of challenge, but I'm determined to make ends meet.
To those waiting on commissions, I’ll gradually send them via email. If you haven't received yours, let me know, and I'll make sure to send it asap.
I’ll be kicking off auctions and commissions again, starting this month. Valentine's auctions will be up soon, though I can't promise they'll be done by the 14th. Life's been tough, but I'm ready to get back on track and live life again.

I know my updates have been inconsistent lately, Just writing this out so that everyone is aware of my current situation. ;u;
Last year that I quit my toxic job because it was badly effecting my mental health and I was getting super burned out in the process.

So I considered taking a break from it, but then suddenly the tech industry was badly hit by AI this year and layoffs still kept going,
and there wasn’t really a good pool of options for me to return to and have full time work yet.
I had a few short-term contracts since November of last year, to make sure I could still catch up with bills and such.
(also a good way to update my portfolio)
But now that my six-month contract is done…FA is my sole source of income for the next several weeks
while I look for work and do some interviews, which is why I really need your support! ;u;
There will be more YCHs and commission openings in the next coming weeks!
And, yes, I will update here more frequently now that I have more spare time.

Long story short, I haven't seen my parents since covid happened (3 years/in a different country) and I wanted to make our holidays special last year.
So I gave them my undivided attention from Christmas to the middle of January. They travelled home yesterday, so I can finally work on commissions and keep you updated.
Hopefully that explains on why I was gone for a while.
For everyone who got Christmas YCHs / Commissions from me and was not ready on time:
I will be adding in a "Mini Sleeper" for you character/s as an added bonus for your troubles!
Again, I am truly sorry for what has happened and I assure everyone that this wont happen again! sorry!

I know a lot of you are wondering what happened for the last three years?!?...(its been soo long i know ;-; I'm sorry! life just happened!)
It's a mixed bag of experiences, both good and bad, but for the most part, I'd say I've had it better than most people.
Why am I back? well...something in me longs for the good old days, you know? It's something I miss...
I really miss making fun YCHs and illustrating for the furry community...that's why I've decided to return and stay active here again ;w;
In terms of my personal life, I felt like I was working a dead end 9-5 job that wasn't the best fit for me. So I decided to quit my job and take a break. (Never had a break since Covid 19 began) Not going to lie, I loved my job and the pay was decent, but ever since Covid happened, I was feeling a bit down and burnt out from it, and I felt the need to take a break from the corporate world even for a short while.
Plus It's gotten even worse with all of the layoffs in the tech industry, so I'm thinking that now is really the best time to take a break from it all and spend some time with family and friends for once. My mental health will also thank me for doing this.
and for any of you wondering about changes in my YCHs...There won't be any! I promise!
I will keep everything the way it is like before (no price changes or anything)

[IMPORTANT!] TOS Update on Working times!

Turn around times will now be a little bit longer than it was before, I hope everyone will be ok with that!
I will get busy again with school and it will be my graduating year in college ;w;
but I'll also try my best to improve my art style even more~
so the longer working times will also boost the quality of commissions (prices will remain the same though lol! :P)
Some things to take note on turn around times:
- Regular Commissions & YCH working times will now take 7 days to around 20 days
- Large pieces (with 3 or more characters) will now be 15 days to a months time

We just had the busiest month in school and I had a hard time working on commissions properly.
I will try my best to finish everything by this week since April just finished,
I even asked my roommate if it was ok if i was late in paying rent this month and she was ok (thank goodness!)

Posted 7 years agoSince the start of September I have been really slow on updates,
and I'm sorry for that! I was not expecting my school work would be so heavy this year...
but I am trying my very best to balance my schooling and doing commissions starting this month.
(heck I still need to pay my monthly rent!)
and the downside about it is that I can only update on the weekends...
I hope everyone is ok with that~ I will also try my best to meet all deadlines and hand in times.
Starting tomorrow (November 13th) I will be accepting commissions again
so this is just a heads up to all who want to commission me in the upcoming days.

Posted 7 years agoHiyah! Its been awhile since i wrote a journal post but I'm making this as short as possible lol
right now i am still adjusting to my new class schedule and irl stuff
so i've been taking my time on the commissions I owe you guys~
I like to apologize for that, I also had a surprise visit from a friend the whole weekend so i wasn't able to touch my laptop for four days //// (I had to tour her around the city and stuff xD)

Crazy Week! (I had to MOVE OUT!)
Posted 7 years agoI'm so sorry for the delays everyone, Last week I have a really bad experience with my land lords/homestay, and without any hesitation I decided to move out within two days!
(even if i only had like two months more here in Vancouver...which was crazy!)
The owners suddenly asked me for another deposit without reason, and even asked me more than half of my monthly rent just because I somehow "insulted them".
By "insulted" I mean, I was not able to follow one rule of their 100 rules that was written in paper that i signed but NEVER got a copy (i know they are that meticulous and crazy)...It said something about not putting sticky notes on the wall and not putting up any PERSONAL rules of my own FOR MY ROOM. Well...long story short I decided to move out right away and now Im staying somewhere safe (she's a co-worker of mine) so i feel very thankful.
It's crazy to think that i payed in full for the month of MAY and i never got it back...I was slowly moving my things to the other house and when i went back to get the last batch of stuff and return the keys...I noticed they spilled something "intentionally" on my room's carpet floor and they blamed me for damages...so I wasn't able to get my money back...but i guess i'll let it go because i want to prioritize my "safety" from those wackos rather than getting my money back. (~___~;)

Life Update! (Good/Bad-ish News)

Currently, I am still in a pickle...but somehow the situation has toned down
wherein I will able to support myself for a little bit longer on my own. (Four months to be exact lol)
The good news is that, I will be able to stay in Canada longer than I anticipated! Yay!
But instead of going for a work permit I have decided on extending my Student Visa,
I just had a call from my Parents back home that they will support me through out my time here with some of the tuition fees (but I still need to find money for rent and living expenses of course). Right now, I can work 20 hours a week under student visa which is really good news for me!
The only bad-ish news is that in the next four months I have to transfer back to my relatives in Calgary, AB. So I have to say goodbye to Vancouver (...for now) and I'm still not sure when I'll be able to come back here...I'm really gonna miss it, but it's just too expensive to live here by myself.
So...yeah til the end of July, I am gonna post lots of new YCHs and adopts for you guys because I still need to save up for my move.

I know I haven't been updating my account since Christmas Break,
I just received some sad news last January that led me to leaving all my social media accounts for a while...I'm back right now because I need your help.
To start, Please If other people's IRL issues especially when I'm talking about immigration and being an international student does not concern you in any way just please show your respects by not commenting in rude and insulting comments.

Anyways as not much of you are aware I am an international student here in Canada since December 2015. I took up a one year program in one of Vancouver's private schools. As what the CIC site states that after I could graduate from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada I would be able to extend my stay by getting a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) which will help me gain some work experience here for a year.
So when I finished, received my diploma and graduated last December 2016 I directly applied for a PGWP since you need to apply for it 90 days before your study permit expires (in my case it ends on the last day of march this year).
It takes you a month's worth of processing and waiting for their decision. At first, I was confident that I would get it right away because the school assured me that all their international students didn't have problems with it - some even got a three year work permit when it's just supposed to be the same length of your program (they were really lucky although I'm not sure if that is right though).
So when the immigration consultant contacted me on the middle of January that my application was rejected I was devastated and shocked on what had happened....
To think that I already have a full time job at that time (yes I am allowed to work full time while waiting for the decision)..to think that I spent a lot of money just to process something that fails for no valid reason at all it was something...
We had a chat with the immigration consultant about what had happened to my case...
She told me that there are also chances that this would also happen even if you submitted all the proper documentation it's totally up to the immigration officer that's reviewing your file and the only thing you could do right now is reapply for another permit and see how it goes...(she also said that reapplications have a 40% chance of getting rejected again which made me even more disappointed 😔)
So on the same week I had to quit my job...lost a lot of money for the reapplication and spent almost all my money inside my bank just to make sure I could maintain my room for this month.
Also, right now I cannot apply for a stable job not unless the decision comes out
I also don't wanna risk of losing it again if ever the worst is gonna happen...
So for two months or so I am in need of your help and support in any way,
This is also my only method to support myself til the end of March...
I am not a type of person who likes to beg others for money so I am willing to open some commissions and submit new YCHs just to save up some money until the end of March. my goal is around $1k-$3k usd, I am aware that two months is really short but I will try my best to achieve that goal.

all the pending halloween commission artworks,
and something important irl came up so i had to go out the whole day today (UGHHH WHYYY)
which is really sad since i wanted to finish everything on time before halloween
but i couldn't which really sucks since i know most of you have been really patient with me with this...
so all the unfinished halloween pieces will be submitted before halloween ends tomorrow!
I do hope that is alright with everyone...I apologize ahead you guys...T_T

Posted 8 years agoOkay so I was super excited on joining our school's competition for designing
Ginger bread / snow man cookies and also some marzipan, just this Friday (yesterday)
I signed in and got my special stash of cookies plus the dough for the completion (all sealed in a transparent plastic bag)
I carried it home, tried my best not to break any of the cookies while in the train
Heck I even was standing near one of the seats (because the train was so full so I had to stand) and ask the person who was sitting down if he doesn't mind if I held my cookies on top of his head so it won't get squished by the crowd (he was ok tho)
Got home, placed it on top of my desk and left it (NOT BROKEN and INTACT) so just this afternoon my land lady went and did her vacuuming in my room, I even insisted on staying because I was writing my report but she let me out (yeah she does the cleaning and laundry because she doesn't trust anyone touching her shit) so i let her...
When she finished I said thank you but I could feel that something was not right...
Because judging from her face she felt like she was guilty of something...and was really silent...
So I did my report - er ... finished some drawings and then I fucking saw it...
(MY COOKIES are obviously SQUISHED by hand because the marzipan was on top of it)
I'm pretty sure she got curious on what the marzipan was and crush my cookies while touching it 😒 I mean...WHY? I know you own the house...do your cleaning and shit...but why do you have to touch my stuff and break it just before my competition next week? I don't really know what to do now...*sigh* I also can't go and tell her that she broke them cuz I'm pretty sure they'll kick me out of this house if I did...shit...
...maybe I should just go and ask for another batch of cookies on Monday if that works

Soo more reason for me to start working my butt off on new YCHs and auctions for you guys to bid on...
I do hope it's worth it though...just like how people find it to be the best thing for artists since the Wacom cintq came out (I wanted one before but I seriously can't afford those) and I am not willing to trade off my current laptop for a surface pro too so I'll just go with an iPad 🙈 lol
I do know that it can make my work a whole lot easier than what I'm used to,
I'm currently using a small sized bamboo Wacom that's around 4 years old (like my laptop) and I'm sure that these guys definitely need like a rest day since I use them for more than 8 hours each day...(I know it's crazy) and a plus side is that I can bring the iPad anywhere I want!
Sooo to all artists out there who has one or even tried using one...is it really worth it as they say it is?
And what are the best apps you can recommend?
I only know about astropad and procreate
