For sure. I have too many to wear in one weekend so it'll be hard to choose.

How old are you?

Sure, that's half the reason to be there.

Only if you ask and I say yes (or nod vigorously, in suit).

I'll be hanging out in the con space and surrounding area. When I'm out of suit, I'm the woman with the knee length braid.

My real face (silicone), my magpiebones snow leopard set (Full LARP masks), and my snow leopard gryphon partial!

I do not!
How tall are you?
5'7 ish? Depends what shoes I'm wearing. I'm partial to huge platforms.

Taken is a weird term for it. I have a mate.
Can I visit your room?
No.
Can I buy you drinks?
No. I don't drink alcohol. If it's Starbucks we're good though.
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
No, that's kind of weird.
Are you nice?
I'm known as a nice person by other nice people.
How long are you going?
Thursday - Sunday. I live rather close so I might head home Sunday evening.
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
You can say either of my names (Jack or Cataena - that's pronounced Cuh-tey-na). If I don't hear you (it's hard to hear in suit!) walking up to me and saying hello works too!
Where will you be most of the time during the days?
Mostly in suit hanging out around con space! Dealer's den, hangout spaces, as long as I'm fed and watered I can go on for a long time.
What/where will you be eating?
I have 3 group dinners planned, but mostly I have no idea. The food court in WaterPark Place will probably tie me over on Thursday and Friday but they're closed for the weekend.
What’s your goal for the con this year?
Meet a bunch of my friends IRL! Watch my friend Cheasy's TF panel!! Support Aaeden as he rises to con chair position!!! Oh yeah and buying fun stuff and wearing suits and getting a bunch of photos taken of me. I'm also looking forward to slowly becoming more of a snow leopard over the weekend via my IRL suit sequence :)

Copy Cat and Update

Update: I have a summer contract job that ends in 3 months, I have a place lined up as soon as the current tenant moves out (within 2-6 months), I still do TF stuff all the time because that is my life.
It has come to my attention that someone commissioned a mask specifically based off mine that they found on google. CFX made them a mask that is so similar, a lot of my friends couldn't tell the difference.
This makes me upset for a few reasons. First of all, my silicone mask is pretty much my identity, online and offline. People recognize me by it in all the games I play, on all the sites I frequent and at cons/meets in real life.
It's also an outward expression of the one thing that got me through the abuse I dealt with my whole life, a symbolic way to become the beast that kept me going, a physical embodiment of my inner spirit.
It wasn't made with a template, I got CFX to design it for me based on photos of actual snow leopards that they transposed onto the shape of a human face. They have their own 'template' skins (like tiger, Bast, lion) but mine was custom and unique to me - no one else ever had it before.
Recently, a masking duo found my photo on google, and commissioned a look-alike mask that people mistake for me. I'm really surprised, I'm kinda hurt, but I know I shouldn't be too upset. I don't own the rights to my face, I have no right to tell people what they can or cannot wear.
I've avoided doing anything NSFW in my mask because my family, my friends, my coworkers all know what it looks like. It plays a pretty big part in my life. The people who bought the copy-mask make NSFW videos on youtube. I'm really concerned about one of my coworkers or family members stumbling upon something like that and mistaking it for me. I'm not so concerned about the art; anyone can make art of anyone else and I don't have to admit that it's me… but to see what appears to be the actual me in a compromising situation is less than ideal.
I've spoken to the couple, they're really nice and it's a case of imitation-as-flattery with them. They assure me that they'll be wearing a completely different wig with their mask, that they'll be wearing different kinds of clothing and that they'll give me credit for designing it. That's cool, that makes me feel a little better. I'll just need time to get over this. Sorry for the rant. I'll be trying to post more TF stuff and my production will ramp up when I can finally move out.

Final exam hiatus
Posted 8 years agoToo much social media, not enough time. I'll be rare for 2 weeks because final exams. If you don't hear from me please don't take it personally. I keep getting pulled away from studying to chat with people, and I feel bad ignoring them, but I don't want to fail my finals before I graduate.

so I have an exam falling on Friday at 7pm, it's not likely that I'll be able to be at the con very much if at all on that day.
BUT! I will totally be there all of Saturday and Sunday in one or all of my various shifting skins. I can't wait to get back into my silicone skin, and my Magpiebones snow leopard head has been calling to me...
If you see a snow leopard with two really long braids, or a lady in Tripp pants with huge black makeup circles around her eyes, that's probably me! I'll most likely be hanging out with Dragoniade and/or Deeran for most of the weekend :)

Hey Canadian friends, WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH OUR DOLLAR. I can't afford anything from the states anymore; the head I was looking to buy *cough http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18318271/ cough* will have an opening bid of $1000USD... which is $1453.60CAD. That's ridiculous!
Our video games are even taking a huge blow, Fallout 4 costs $80 right now for a physical copy. Going to the states is gonna cost me a ridiculous amount, too. I really hope we don't hit $0.50 to the dollar, my life savings are already crying.

Toronto New Years - Want to hang out?

The details about what I'm gonna do during the day are fuzzy (I was invited to go skating but I don't know how to skate) and one of my friends tried organizing a get-together but everyone besides me bailed last minute.
Does anyone want to hang out tomorrow downtown and eventually end up at Nathan Phillips Square for the fireworks show? I'm hoping to go to Banh Mi Boys or Chipotle for dinner, and there may be a video game store crawl or eaton centre walk-through, depending on what people want to do.
So far I have one or two people on board :)

Bloodborne - Beast Form
Posted 9 years ago[Spoilers warning for those who haven't finished the DLC of Old Hunters yet, or who aren't near the end of the game, so don't watch at all or stop watching when I light my lamp]
I have been enjoying being a werewolf in this game FAR too much (really really really so much love) so I made a little video to showcase what the beast form looks like and what it does. This is the form alongside the weapon, Beast Claw. When combined, you get extra abilities like the amazing jump attack and that amazing roar that only costs me stamina. I haven't completed the form at the end of the video yet because the second part is behind the final boss of the DLC.

If I got really super rich I'd probably have a costume department and sfx artists on staff at my house after work to have super elaborate getups for my mate, or to surprise him with being half-transformed and beckoning him to finish the job. Rich me foreplay would be the strangest and greatest thing...
Folders? New stories?
Posted 9 years agoSince the night before something's due is always the most productive for me (in terms of everything but the thing I need to actually do) I tried to organize my gallery into folders but the system on this site hardly makes sense. I think I'll have another go at it when I don't have to argue about communism for class.
In other stuff I have a frog story and a nightmare story half done, I'll try to have them finished by Sunday :)

Fan Expo's coming up!

Fan Expo is next weekend in Toronto! Anyone else going?
I've been working so hard all week on a Splatoon cosplay... it features some missmonster masks and I really hope they turn out ok. I also found a local guy who makes splattershot DIY kits on reddit, so I've been gluing parts together and trying not to melt anything important with the solvent.
Badges and tickets are printed, suitcase is on its way to being packed, excitement is building rapidly.

Yes, I do not have the gloves to match my silicone mask. With the current exchange rate, with shipping and tax and border fees, it'd come out to ~$940.45CAD. I could get another head from Magpiebones plus shipping for that :(
When I wear furry gloves with it, people tell me it looks silly and still doesn't match, even though I'm covering the skin. Yeah I could wear long sleeves, but they're not my style.
I'm a shapeshifter, hands are useful and good to have :p but people act like human hands are not allowed. I'll get the CFX beast gloves when/if they go on sale, and if our dollar starts rising back to previous levels, but as of now I can't afford them.
I put my costume on Reddit and have been hearing/answering this all day, I just wanted to put it out there :p these things are not cheap, the only way I got the hoof gloves was because they were deeply discounted and the Canadian dollar was still close to the US dollar.

Furnal Equinox Handler/Buddy

I'll be at Furnal Equinox all three days but I've only found a handler/someone to hang with for Saturday ^-^'
Does anyone have a little bit of floor space in their hotel room (for my bag) and/or wants to hang out on the weekend? I'll most likely be wearing my silicone snow leopard mask on Friday Sunday which takes a few materials/some time to get on and off, I don't want to be carrying my prep bag everywhere like last time.
If no one's up for it I might ask to borrow the car for the weekend, or not go in suit.
