MOVING DAY!
Posted 8 years agoHey to all my VT furs out there, Zanner and I are moving. Good news to you guys in Burlington because we are going to be even closer to you now. By beginning of October, I hope to socailize with you all a lot more!

2016 update!
Posted 8 years agoSo we have 4 months of 2016 left. I don't know about you guys but I'm happy about it being over. This year has been terrible not for just me but everyone.
I found out last month that my father left eveything to me in his passing. My greedy sister who was power of attorney and responsible for his care has taken numerous things of value off my fathers land. And when i confronted her about it she claimed what she took was hers or given to her and that it was mostly junk therefore I should thank her for giving me less to throw out. When really what she took was worth something. What she left was junk. She started renting out a trailer ob the property to someone and even though my father passed in June she continued to take rent in july and randomly increased it $200 because she knew it was the last amount she could scheme out from under me.
Given that, I have to decide if I want to let it go like I let go of her elder abuse and endangerment. Or get what facts I can use to fight and get what's mine back to me.
I don't need sympathy really, but it would be great for people to just send some good vibes and if any of you pray, to do so. I've strayed from religion but do still appreciate the sentiment.

Posted 8 years agoSo I'm gonna do one of these post con things. I have only been to two anthrocons but this one definitely had a different vibe than last year. Maybe it's because last year is when I officially became a furry and made my character Candra and my FA and Weasyl accounts.
This was my first time being in the parade and I'd like to say I was about halfway in the crowd so I didn't get as disorganized as the very end did but it got very messy once we got outside.
Now for the cons of the con, I could feel a little bit of tension in the room I shared at times becauase people had things on their minds and we're bringing it to the con. As well as we had two extra people in our room staying the night at one point which wasn't planned so there was 8 of us all together and me and Zanner split a bed with our friend.
Also Sunday just seemed to suck immensly for me. Eveything was going wrong. They randomly shortened the artist alley, art show and dealers Den to close an hour earlier than the schedule said. Given that I couldn't get a t shirt this year. I had a tight budget so the one person I picked for my badge was commisioned Thursday and it wasn't started till Sunday so I was worried it would have to be mailed to me. I get it few hours after closing ceremony and the character didn't really look right and I paid more money for a full body and got just a head/bust badge. I was so tired and grumpy I didn't bother to complain and just let it go.
We tried to have dinner with a friend but his friend got us reservations at a place. First we got the place wrong then we got there and it was a nice place and good food but don't go there unless you're by yourself or paying one whole check because there was 11 of us and they wouldn't do separate checks. So we were there at least 30 minutes trying to figure out the bill. I think they charged us an extra burger because our half of the table looked at the check and put eveything in including gratuity but the other half of the table was somehow short. So ya good food and service but terrible cash out.
I ended up with some nausea later on as well. I also had like 5 people begging me for money. One was very aggressive and said fuck you to us when we said we didn't have any change. At that point, I got to the room, showered and relaxed with the roommates whIle zanner hit the dog dance. Least I was productive and packed.
But yeah, that was the negative points.
Other than that, it was very fun and I did get to catch up and meet some cool people. It was my first fursuiting con and I got my first fursuiter badge and of course the best part was Zanner proposing to me. As some of you know, June was awful for me losing my dad on my birthday. I almost wasn't going to go to the con because I was not doing so well handling the depression. But I'm glad I did. I owed it to myself to get away and have a good time. It also made all the hard work I did making my suit worth it. And Zanner proposal was a very magical experience as we were at a place, an event rather that is special to the both of us. And I'll always remember it.

Need help for fursuit supplies!!!
Posted 8 years agoHey everyone! So I managed to suit up at Anthrocon this year in partial as I could not finish the body piece in time. I do still want to finish what I started but all in all, I'd like to make a redo of eveything with better quality fabric. Given that, I would love some input from people on where would be a good place to order some. So far I have been told of distinctive fabrics but someone else I talked to gave them a bad review. I'd like tough durable fur that has minimal shedding. If you can let me know where to find that, please do!

Are you attending any stage or public performances? I don't know too many of those so I'm gonna just kind of wing it.

I hope so! I had my month of June go in shambles so I'm last minute trying to finish making my fursuit. If the body piece is not finished I will definitely be in partial suit.

I'm a shorty. Like little over 5 ft.

What’s your goal for the con this year?
I lost my father on my birthday which was right next to father's day. I had a trying few weeks of watching him in the hospital waiting for him to go and dealing with family drama. I've had to go on medication to be able to function properly at work where I am a recovery counselor who sadly needs recovery herself. My goal is to get away from it all and try to enjoy life again. Celebrate my father because I am a part of him and I know he'd want me to have a good time. I want to have a healing vacation.

Very! Extrovert. Kind. Empathetic. But like my character I'm all cute and friendly till you're mean then I get ferocious!

Anthrocon 2016 update
Posted 8 years agoSo I have been very absent from the site due to eveything going on this month. I lost my father on my birthday which is always on or next to father's day after spending a week in the hospital watching him be in a coma like state. Given all that happening in the literal worst time I have been behind in renewing things on my car as well as working on my fursuit. Despite it all though, I have at least gotten all my pieces done so I can go partial at Anthrocon if I don't get the body suit done in time. Will be uploading pics. Would love to get feedback on what I was able to finish.

Posted 8 years agoHey guys! So as some of you may know, I am making my own fursuit for the con. I wanted everyone's opinion on what kind of eyes I should get, mesh or resin. I am probably leaning more towards mesh as I'm making all of this by hand and am on quite the time limit as well as it may give a more toony look that matches my character. Still, I would like to ask your opinion.
