MOVING TO THE UK!

I've been busy these days. Actually, what's happened is that I've been organizing my trip to the UK. I'll be living there for a year working as an au-pair. We'll see how it goes.
I've been feeling this need to change my life for a long time, and this seems like the perfect opportunity.
I'll get settled there this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to stay active here (depends on how much trouble i have keeping up with college online while also taking care of the kids). Maybe I'll even open furry art commissions in the near future (I've got my eyes on a couple of stunning tarot decks available online that are a bit out of my budget).

Where I've been hiding this last month

So I've been inactive pretty much since the beginning of the summer, and I wanted to mention what's been going on these last weeks.
First of all, I was on a work camp for two weeks (without internet), and then when I got back home I found out we didn't have wifi (bc of a storm). It wasn't fixed until a couple of days ago, so I haven't been able to access my social media accounts for like, a month.
Now that I can be online as much as I want again, I'm going to be posting again. I'd like to post more often than I did in the past, but we'll see what time allows me to do.

Movie talk
Posted 7 years agoYesterday I watched Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga'Hoole for the first time. I can't believe it's taken me so long to finally watch it (I knew I should've gone watch it in the cinema when it came out, shame on me). it was one hour and a half of utterly stunning animation with an impressive care for details. Also, those books were my childhood (although I've forgotten most of the story), and after watching the movie I'm feeling really tempted to find them and read them again.

Posted 8 years agoLately I've been really interested in tarot decks, specifically from an artistic point of view.
I've always really liked art that plays with symbology, and tarot decks are precisely full of that. Besides that, I really enjoy how an artist can really put their personality and style into the cards to make them unique and different. The cards are little pieces of art, and seeing an artist put so much effort in creating them feels truly special.April Fools
Posted 8 years agoIt always makes me super confused when people start making joke posts on april 1st, because the equivalent to april fools in my country is in late december ;o; (one day I'll get used to it and it'll stop surprising me every year).
Just so you know, I won't make any joke post or anything.

This is just a quick note on what I'm planning to do with this new account.
I've spent these first days I've been learning how this site works, as well as following a bunch of cool people and practicing how to draw animal features (because that's something I've never really drawn before).
However, now that I'm more used to this site and drawing furry art, what I'm planning to do is two things: First of all, I want to focus on my OCs for a while. I'm not planning to post any kind of fanart (maybe ocasionally), only original content.
Secondly, among the many forms of art I've seen people demand the most here, I think adoptables are probably the ones I'm most interested in atm, so, to give the account a little push and some exposure, I'm currently working on some bases. More precisely, I'm working on some deer boys adoptables at the moment. I have to finish a commission first, but I think I'll finish the first batch some time this week, and I'm planning for them to be totally free, since I'm just starting here, so stay tuned for that if you want to check them out.
