I've been trying really hard to sell commissions these last couple of weeks and have had hardly any luck. I have about 60 dollars right now and I don't get paid for another 4 days and I'm almost out of food.

A long time ago I advertised an old 15 page porn comic I sketched up as a YCH offer, because it contained a character belonging to an abusive ex but I put a lot of effort into it I wanted to repurpose it for someone else. I had an offer for it, but the person who made the offer disappeared and never paid for it.
The comic is technically unfinished, but I figured someone could choose how it would end.
It's a femdom comic with a nervous guy having masturbation troubles.
My conundrum is, I still want to sell it as a YCH, but I don't want to feature the old art of the original characters. But adjusting 15 pages to YCH-ify is a shit ton of work, and I don't want to do all that work if no one is going to be interested. It's been so hard to sell YCHs and commissions in general lately, to think anyone could afford a 15 page comic feels like wishful thinking.
I could offer payment plans of course, and that might be more likely to sell, but finding anyone interested right now sounds like an impossible task.

I don't need to rush this or get it all done ASAP, I can do an occasional page re-sketch every here and there, but I still don't know if all that work is worth it.

Another idea is to break it down into self contained sections so it's not one huge comic I'm selling but a couple pages instead, but I'm not sure how well that would work out.

So Neith, the cat who was sick a few days ago that we got to take to the vet thanks to donations, she so far seems to be doing better, but that's with being medicated each day and eating specialized food for upset tummies in cats. She's going back on her regular food today so we'll see how she does.

We're really hoping this was just an issue of her eating something she shouldn't have, and not the first signs of pancreatitis.

I really appreciate the donations, and if she's better after this, whatever remains of donations will go into emergency savings in case another vet issue pops up for either of the cats.

One of our cats, Neith, has been throwing up this morning and won't eat. Sin and I, despite all efforts, have not been able to sell any commissions last month or this month. We're both really scared no one's going to help us with this either because the economy is so bad but this is a last ditch effort because we really don't have the money for the vet and Neith really needs to go to the vet which will likely cost at least 150 to get full blood work done.

I really really hate having to beg but we have TRIED so hard to sell commissions and nothing is working, and I keep having to dip into savings with all the costs that keep coming up this last couple of weeks. And now this is basically an emergency situation. This is a very food motivated cat, she has never refused food before, EVER.

We're just not getting a break here and I don't know what else I can do.

Just so people know, we have been given enough donations to afford the first vet visit, but this might be an issue that will require multiple vet visits and potentially expensive medications, so we're trying to save up whatever we can for whatever might end up being the problem.

Hey guys, this is really important. My roomie hasn't sold any commissions last month at all. Not even her regulars bought commissions, and she lost a lot of high paying patrons on patreon because the economy is just so shit. I know these days it's a huge ask to ask for any sort of financial help since pretty much everyone is struggling right now, but it's NEVER been this bad before for her. She even bought ads on FA a little while back and all they've done is get her new followers but 0 commissions. Hey folks, I just wanted people to know there's going to be a delay in art and commissions because of multiple factors. First it was the holidays, but this month I have a lot going on. I just had an ear surgery yesterday, and next week I have a more major surgery that will put me out for a couple of weeks. On top of all of that, my monitor has been flickering and shutting off, so I need to get a new one with my business funds.
I'm very frustrated about all of this as I like to keep on a consistent schedule but I just can't this month. I really can't.

So neither me nor my roommate were able to make a lot of money last month due to various reasons, and I'm sick right now so I can't do something like make new YCH or donation drive stuff. My queue is kind of long right now and normally I wouldn't open more commissions but I barely have any money right now after paying bills and I'm running out of food.

For the past few weeks it's looked like I haven't been drawing many commissions because I haven't been posting many of them. I HAVE been drawing them, it's just a lot of them I haven't been able to post for various reasons, like FAs dumb BS new policy on pokemon that "look like children", private commissions, and commissions that are parts of sets that need to be completed before I can post them.

Speaking of FAs new policy, I've seen multiple people who have been waiting literal months to hear back on their trouble tickets regarding their galleries and there is just no fucking excuse at this point for them taking this long to get back to people about this.

I haven't thought about this for some reason but it just occurred to me I have no idea who my most popular character even is on FA. And I'm thinking I should do more art of the more popular ones. So who is your favorite, or who is top 3? Any characters I've posted here on FA count as long as they belong to me. I realize I may have been neglecting characters that people might miss and I'd rather try to give them more love if people like them.

So because I recently made myself an expression sheet for youtube videos of my sona, seen here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53747608/ I figured why not offer these sort of things for commissions instead of just head shots? This way people can have a set of avatar expressions they can use for videos or games or whatever else they'd like them for. You will get the transparent PNGs of each pose, and I'll put together a sheet of all the poses together with a solid color background. They're pretty easy for me to do, the ones I did for myself took about 15 minutes for each one so simple characters I can get done really fast. More advanced looking characters will take more time and may come with an extra charge if they're really complex.

Okay so 3 things have been bugging the everliving shit out of me because these rules are so fucking vague

They say chibi is okay... as long as they have adult bodies. Do... do you assholes even know what a chibi is? What the FUCK does a chibi with adult proportions look like? You mean just slap some titties on it? Because you also said flat chested characters are fine, but if a person has to draw titties on a chibi that's not exactly saying flat chests are fine. Seriously, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Second. What about characters like Spyro, Animal Crossing characters, and Aggretsuko, which all have "child like proportions"? You say this rule has always been here and this only adds pokemon and digimon to the rule, which is bullshit because there are plenty of images that were fine here before that are suddenly not okay because they're too childlike. Don't fucking lie, you're cracking down on a LOT more than pokemon and digimon and you're NOT being clear about ANYTHING.

Thirdly, they say they won't tolerate harassment but they completely fail to see what exactly is going to happen here. They are assuming that the people being reported are not going to have any issues with their art, so yeah fucking good for those people. Those aren't the people we're concerned about. This is going to be a witch hunt against anything that remotely looks childlike, with cute style artists and pokemon and digimon artists being the main target. They're going to go after artists who DO have art that falls under this category and they're going to essentially be bullied off the website.
How are they not aware that this is what's going to happen? How are they so fucking tone deaf that they don't realize how many people they are shunning off the site for simply having a certain style in how they draw?
I hate everything about this. Rules shouldn't be so vague that people are going to break them without even realizing it.

I have a lot of art on my account of my old abusive ex's characters and I've finally come to a point where I'm just not remotely comfortable with his characters in my gallery. Not only was he abusive but he was 7 years older than me and orbitted and groomed me since I was 13, something I didn't really realize until more recently. I'm not going to point out where he is now or what his username is now because you can't do that on FA, but I just wanted people to know the giant raichu and Erebus' sister and a few other characters are no longer welcome in my gallery.
I'm upset that this whole grooming thing never really came to light because it never occurred to me until now, and this person really destroyed a lot of my personality and is responsible for a lot of shitty behavior I had that I picked up from him. And I just want to be done with it.
I'm very ashamed of myself because my most recent psychotic episode I went out of my way to contact him and act like we could be friends again because in that state I thought I needed to reconnect with all the old people in my life and I feel absolutely disgusting because of it.

Like, I get it, how can you dictate a SFW image is a fetish or not? How can you tell an image of a parent innocently tickling their child in a cute wholesome image apart from a tickle fetish artwork? These are very thin lines they're traversing here and they're not making things clear at all.
Either way I'm just kinda slowly deleting things from my gallery that might be seen that way, even if it wasn't clear if that was the intention, because I don't fucking know any more what's allowed here or not or what's going to get me in trouble when I had no intention of breaking rules -__-

I'm so fucking confused by this new policy FA is putting into place against any 'childlike proportions' on characters, because they aren't being clear about what is considered 'childlike', especially when it comes to pokemon. and they don't explain how to make characters appear older, especially if they are pokemon/digimon. I have kind of a cutesy style so what if they just assume cute=child? Because that's not the fucking case at all, like I draw pokemon the way the pokemon look and I would draw them differently if they were children but I don't draw child pokemon so people wouldn't know.
And it seems like even the mods can't agree on what should be considered too child-like, it seems like one mod might say something different than another mod and how do I know which mod is going to end up judging my stuff if some asshole reports it?
I have maybe one image I can think of that might legitimately confuse someone if they just glanced at the image without any context because I stylized the character to have a big head, which is what all the adults in that style would have looked like while children would look wildly different. But again, I never drew children in that setting because it was meant as a porn comic so kids had no right showing up in it.
But I just don't know if there's more than that, because I have OVER 2000 IMAGES IN MY GALLERY. do you SERIOUSLY expect me to remember everything that's in it? Am I expected to just painstakingly go through every single image I have an ask permission on even the slightest doubts I have? "Oh no, maybe this character is too cute, what if someone insists it's a child when it's just my style or how that creature is supposed to look as an adult?"
This all just seems like a really bad, confusing clusterfuck where no one's going to agree, people are going to go on reporting sprees, and innocent artists are going to be basically accused of pedophilia over something that wasn't remotely intended as such in the first place
