Sorry I haven’t been too active on here lately. Finishing up with school and looking for a new job! I quit my job at a news station last year after working there for eleven years. Long story short, I needed a change of scenery so went back to school for a degree in digital art and design. Scheduled to graduate in a few months.

Haven't been on here in a while so trying to get caught up. My grandparents and my dad died early last year and the guy I was dating broke up with me. Took a long time to get back on my feet after all that but starting to get back to normal. Might be moving out of state within the next year but not sure. Just taking things one day at a time.

So I got a new phone in November and couldn't remember any of my passwords lol. And then my apartment lease ran out and I had no where to go so have been living with my dad. Thankfully I'll have a new apartment lined up next week. Also I started dating a new fella in October. So everything's working out. Hope to get some drawings done once I move and get my computer set up again.

So I turned 32 today. I celebrated by going out to dinner with my family. This past weekend I had a party with some friends so its been fun.

Its been almost six months since me and my ex broke up. He moved out in june and I haven't seen him since. I'm doing a lot better than I was but it still makes me sad. Just trying to take it one day at a time.

My best friend moved in to help me with rent. Our lease is up in a few months and I'm thinking about looking for a job out of state for a fresh start (been kind of wanting to do that for a while now but never got up the courage)...

Anyway, I've been doodling a lot. Need to finish some drawings soon. Hope yallve been goodz

I'm typing this from my phone so gonna keep it kind of short... Me and my boyfriend broke up right after easter. We'd been together close to five years and lived together for three. He just finished moving out of our apartment a week ago. The past two months kind of sucked because of all that but some good things have come out of it. My bestfriend is supposed to be moving in with me to help with the rent costs and I've also been catching up with a lot of old friends so that's been nice.... Haven't really felt like drawing though so that's why I've been pretty inactive (that and the internet was in his name and he cancelled our service when he moved out lol. O well) anyway, hope yall are doing good.

Working on a reference sheet for my "fursona". I have a couple old ones on deviant art but those are just her feral version so I'm trying to do one with an anthro version too. I suck at drawing hairstyles though so that's been slowing me down on finishing(starting) it.

here's some stuff you might not know about my "fursona"...


I'll be turning 30 next month and have been drawing my character since I was about 4 years old... granted, she didn't look the way she does now, but I always had the idea of a basic brown dog, that was supposed to sort of represent me. My favorite cartoon character dogs were Charlie Barkin from All Dogs Go to Heaven, and Scooby Doo, so she is sort of a mix of those...or was supposed to be.


-my character's name is "Dinamo", with an "I". I don't remember where I heard the word "Dynamo" but I liked it, and named her that... I remember when I was still little, being scared that it meant something bad, and almost changed it to something else, lol. according to wikipedia the definition is: "A dynamo is an electrical generator that produces direct current with the use of a commutator."

-I ended up changing the spelling of Dynamo, to Dinamo, so I could have my real name "Mia" mixed into the letters.

-When I first started drawing her, Dinamo was actually a male. I didn't change her to a female til I was about 8 or 9.

-Dinamo's colors are brown fur, with a white belly and tail tip, and a RED nose. The red nose is her "trademark". I gave her the red nose when I was little, and red was my favorite color. I just left it like that thru the years because she looks weird if I draw her with a black nose now.

-She's pretty much always had brown fur, but there was a time when I was 6 or 7 that I was drawing her with light blue fur, and black spots!! I ended up making that a psuedo-sister character for her that I called "Domino".


-Now that she's supposed to be a representation of me, I draw her doing alot of the same stuff I do in real life. I wasn't aware of the whole "Furries" thing until I was in my early 20's. I had no idea there were other people out there with characters that were supposed to be like them. Thru the years I've made characters for alot of my non-furry friends. They all seem to enjoy the pictures I draw for them, so it's fun.


well I think that's about it for now. I keep trying to remind myself to look for some of my original Dinamo drawings when I go to my mom's house. I know she has some boxes of stuff from when I was in Kindergarten so if I ever find one of the original drawings I'll upload it here for Lolz.

drawing's about the only thing that really relaxes me but i rarely have time to do it. between work and friends and family, im always really busy. but tonight i have the apartment to myself(for now at least) so im working on finishing up some art.

drawing badges for everybody i roomed with at FWA... might be a couple weeks til i finish them all though

all of you in the rockhill area...

here is a basic synopsis of my average week starting with Monday...


Monday: work 8:30-6:30(that includes driving to and from)... Come home. Take Shower. Make Food. Watch TV and go to bed early, as this is the only night i'm able to do so.

Tuesday: work 8:30-6:30, come home. Take Shower. Drive to Charlotte for "Tuesday Night Mexican" with bestfriends Karla and Chris. Get home around 11. Go to bed.

Wednesday: work 8:30-6:30. come home. Take Shower. Eat microwavable Chicken Nuggets. Karla comes over... we go to movies(i get a free pass each week from my job). Movie Ends. Come Home. Go to bed.((usually sometime between 10-11))

Thursday: work 8:30-6:30. Go to Walmart to get groceries... Come home around 7. Take shower. Load up Laundry and go to moms house((i dont have a washing machine)). Stay until Laundry is finished... usually til 10, then come home, go to bed.

Friday: work 8:30-6:30. Come home. Change clothes. Drive to Charlotte. Go to Wild Wing with Karla to hit on guys and try to get free drinks. Stay til about 2 AM because chris doesnt get off work til midnight then he wants to come and chill with us. Go back to their apartment and pass out on couch and try not to puke on their carpet((again)).

Saturday: ....wake up usually around 8, but got to wait for karla to wake up. chris gets up at 9:30 for a 10am conference call((...i listen because i am interested to see what stories his station is going to be working on that day...even though im not on call im still curious...its the newshound in me))... 10:30 he comes out and we talk until we get loud and it finally wakes up karla. 11-12 we go get "breakfast"... usually mexican food, or cracker barrel. sometimes i can talk them into IHOP. Chris has to be to work at 2, so me and Karla usually watch football all day or do other random stuff until the evening... most of the time we end up going to Wild Wing again... its "our spot"...

Sunday: sundays vary. if i wake up in time, i drive back to rockhill and meet my mom for church...if not, me karla and chris go to cracker barrel, then I hang out at their house all day, usually working on stuff for karlas photography project. 6 PM I head back to Rock hill and hang out at my moms house. we eat dinner, then watch desperate housewives at 9, then i go home.

****thats the general week. soemtimes workfriends Dianne & Alan want to go to Mchales right after work to get drinks, if weve had a rough day... that and sometimes we go see an extra movie if we get tickets to more than one. .... I also sometimes have to work nights, or come in early in the mornigns, and even shoot stuff on the weekends. I never know when Im gonna get stuck working over until like the day before though.

my point... i'm busy. i know im busy. im sorry im busy, but i like my routine. if u want to hate me because i dotn make time, i dont blame you. but if not, karla will be out of town saturday, chris will be working late, dianne has a date, and alan has a shoot, so i will more than likely be free if you are hanging out.

PS sorry kambrine i never call you. it just seems like everytime you try to contact me its because you want something...and thats kind of annoying. that and i thought it was kinda uncalled for that you bitched me out about travis...it might of been a joke, but i was kind of offended.
