Hello everyone!! Keeping this quick but needing to say something because Its been a little while since I've actually updated here!

I wanted to make an update for the last month or so. I had been on a brief hiatus initially as I was really struggling with my artwork! As I was planning on getting back into it, Deci ended up catching Covid unknowingly (despite always being careful) and bringing it home. He is vaccinated so it didn't kick his ass too bad, however I am not-vaccinated (and not because I dont believe in it, get vaccinated people) and when I got it, it knocked me on my ass for no joke, over two weeks and it's STILL going.

I ended up in urgent care once and the ER TWICE because my Covid developed into Covid-pneumonia. I also was confirmed to have the delta varient. Let me tell you when I wished for death multiple times, ugh

I think I'm finally on the upswing and recovering from my toe to toe with covid. It's going to take me some time to really get back into it but I'm going to try to get there asap! It's just going to take a little bit of time.

I've seen it on multiple occassions from multiple people lately where clients have been uploading the original sized, unwatermarked pieces to FA or Refsheet.net and toyhou.se and it's getting increasingly frustrating! 😣 Especially when I'm seeing it from other artists who do commission work as well. I only provide the original unwatermarked versions for personal use should you want to print it, etc!!

I'm afraid if I keep seeing it, I'll have no choice but to provide a small and large version that are both watermarked to prevent this from happening. If I catch people doing this, I'll refuse to work with you in the future!

Please respect my wishes as an artist and the extra piece of work you are given! I don't want my work stolen and I don't want the ability for someone to steal your characters too!

Update on John!
I was able to take him to the vet the other day thanks to some help from peeps on here and he seems to be doing much better! Just a minor constipation issue and thankfully we've seemed to resolve it after the vet visit. They gave me some meds to give him and I've just been making sure he's well hydrated!

Kind of have a quick emergency here!

My cat is again showing some signs of maybe having a blockage of some sort, so I want to be prepared to take him to the vet.

John's last visit cost a little under 400$, but it could end up costing a bit more depending on what needs to be done.

If John doesnt need to end up going to the vet or if I can make a little extra with this, it'll go towards refunds!!

where I finally get caught up with EVERYTHING.

Im tired of being where I am when it comes to commissions. I'm stressed and tired and frustrated.

With myself.

I hate looking at how long my queue is. I hate the feeling I get when I see how intimidating it is.

But that's going to change.

I have to come to terms that it's going to take time. In a perfect world with limitless time, I could get it done within a month. But I KNOW it's going to take a while. And accepting that is important.

I always say this but everytime I do, I absolutely mean it. I wouldn't be where I am today without all of you and your patience and support. You've helped me grow so much since I started doing this in 2015.

But I need to make serious changes to the way I do everything and that means my first step is admitting to not just everyone but also myself. I have BIG plans but these plans cannot happen without me getting to a better place in my queue.

Step two? Making those changes.

My art goals for this year:
Eliminating my queue
Eliminating refunds
Fall in love with art again.

Art is my only source of income. And being reliable links directly to this.
but BECAUSE art is my only income, I can't not take commissions as I work. What I won't be doing is taking on huge ych batches. I will be doing them one at a time and making sure I finish the new one before I think about taking on another. I habe a fantastic support system and relying on that is what's going to help me I think.

REGARDING NOTES AND CONTACT:
I'm going to be limiting my contact drastically. My discord is still available! And my notes will remain open! But I dont have much time to devote my day to answering updates or socializing.

Just want to get opinions!

Do you guys prefer to watch artists stream on picarto or twitch??

I see a lot of opinions sway on eother direction so I figured I'd slap a journal up here to see what you all think!

I've been debating going back to picarto because they seem more friendly in terms of artist features and twitch seems geared more towards gaming. Also, given twitch's crackdown on artists playing non--royalty free music, it kind of irks me. I don't want to get a DMC takedown just because I'm playing music.

Im open to any suggestions besides the two platforms too!! What are yall's opinions??

Okay guys, I feel like saying this is super important, especially right now given everything going on in the community.

I'm sure I will loose a number of followers for this but this is something personal.

I will no longer be in support of Feral NSFW.

Originally, I did not see the harm in it. I've drawn it for commission work before and I've drawn it personally for myself. Before, I felt like there was enough of a separation. I explained it away that unlike Cub, you can't really use it to groom animals into these situations.

But, reading through everything on twitter I came acrossed a few threads the really stuck out to me. One in particular had someone recounting their own experiences of being groomed into believing that Zoophilia is acceptable and they said that they were shown and forced to consume NSFW feral art. I have never looked at this way. It had never occurred to me that what I had told myself actually happens. Thinking about the possibility of my artwork being used for something like this, I don't...really know the word for it? But I absolutely hate the thought of it. It terrifies me and makes me feel ashamed. I don't know if my art has ever been used or if it ever would be but the mere thought of it is enough to make a complete 180 on how I viewed it before.

I am not a zoophile myself. I never wanted to be associated with it but I'm now seeing how drawing feral NSFW regardless of your feelings on zoophilia could put me in with a group I do not want to be associated with.

I'm not trying to imply that everyone who draws or partakes in feral NSFW are Zoos by extension. This is a personal decision of mine. I can't feel good about making this content or excuse myself any longer.

You are welcome to unfollow me if you do no agre with my decisions. And given the fact I HAVE drawn it before and you're uncomfortable with that despite my change in feeling, you are welcome to unfollow me as well. I will understand! I just felt that coming out and saying something instead of waiting for me to be exposed was the best course of action.

I do not support and will not continue offering this is a commission option. I will of course continue drawing SFW feral art!

In regards to FLO, I would like to make a gradual move to there. I cannot completely move from FA at the moment because of the amount of artwork and refunds I owe and every single person I would need to use FA to communicate with them!

I also follow a massive amount of people on here, some of which draw Feral NSFW. I will be taking the time to unfollow the artists still actively drawing feral NSFW. It will take some time as I've said because I follow so many people but it's a move I feel needs to be made!

And final note, I've taken steps to remove the feral NSFW artwork from my gallery and will be combing through it again to make sure I haven't missed anything!

It's been a little over a month since I've updated so I figured I'd put up a journal!

I was finally able to move back to GA a couple of days ago! I still need to unpack and whatnot but I'm taking care of that little by little! For the time being, until I have a desk and area set up, I've made a little temp station in the living room so I can work on things! So, expect to see some work uploaded soon!

Refunds have been getting taken care of! I'm over halfway through with my list and I'm excited to have everything taken care of! I had to take a small break because of the move but I'm getting back to refunding people today! It's very satisfying to see the numbers go down and I can't wait to be on ground zero with everything!

Hey guys!

So, I want to keep this journal as short as possible so we aren't here all day with me babbling on about my home life!

I wanted to get this journal up yesterday but a few obligations prevented me from doing so. Plus, the first journal I had written was a little wordy and I just want to get to the point!

I also want to say thank you to everyone who have been so patient with me. Especially since it's no secret that I've done this before in the past. But you all have put a lot of faith in me and I am incredibly thankful and appreciative of that and really don't wish to keep shirking the trust and support others put in me.

While I've been here at my parents' there have been some new added stressors that have made any attempt at finding a good schedule a lot harder than it should be. There are some expectations that come with staying at my parents' and they directly conflict with me having any free time for me to take care of what needs to be done. And that's always been that case when it comes to me staying here. I will avoid going into further explanation as I don't intend to build a pity party full of excuses for myself as that isn't what the point of this journal is.

The last journal I wrote laid out a plan where I would spend the month working only on commissions that I owed and not taking in anything new. Obviously, that didn't happen. The one thing I /have/ done that I promised is not taking on anymore work whatsoever until I finished what I owe and I still plan on doing that! When it comes to making money right now, I'm doing my parents' landscaping which eliminated the need of having to take on new work altogether. At this point, I can't afford to take on new work until I've completed what I /do/ have because that wouldn't be fair to the people who have already paid.

I've gotten to a place now where I can comfortably manage my time! So, beginning Monday is when I'll start working on chipping away at my queue. While I work, I may throw up adoptables here and there so I have a side flow of money that I can then use for refunds because taking care of those are super important as well. My main priority right now is getting workflow back to a steady stream again.

The second biggest issue that everyone is having a problem with is my communication. But I have a way of remedying this problem: I’ve created a discord server!!

OKAY, I am in VA now and I have an update for you all!!

Its not...a major update or anything lmao but it's something. I know I said Weds things would be getting back on track but I've decided to spend today making sure I got all my ducks in a row. I want to set up my drawing monitor again and make sure it's working properly before I get to work. And knowing Windows it LOVES to roll out updates that break anything tablet related so I have to mess with some drivers today and that usually takes a few hours. I'm also going to get settled into my parents' house, like put my clothes away, set up my xbox again etcetc

I'm excited too because getting to use my tablet monitor again means I can stream!! I miss hanging out with people!

ANYWAY, that's what Ive got. Tomorrow starts my month long goal of catching up on all work I owe 💪💪💪💪 I'm so ready!

Just a small update!!

Activity here for the next couple of days is going to be a little lower! I'm flying back to VA on Tuesday to help fawnlace move in with my parents!

Until I fly out on Tuesday, work will be slowed! I won't completely not do anything but I'm going to focus on cleaning up mine and decibel 's apartment a little bit. I don't want to leave it a mess for the time I'll be away,,,

Work will pick back up at a regular pace on Wednesday/Thursday!

AND on that note, the ENTIRE month of August is dedicated to completing all of my owed work. I will not be taking on new commissions unless absolutely necessary during this whole month. It's about time I get caught up on what I owe. This will ensure a great deal of stress is lifted from my shoulders for when I return back to Georgia and then that means I can focus on refunds and a project I'm working on! 👀
