I feel like im missing things in terms of trying to run this business that is drawing art
if somebody is up for discussion or willing to give me advice id really appreciate it!! ;w;
if somebody is up for discussion or willing to give me advice id really appreciate it!! ;w;
but i watched some tutorials and i know i wanna try screenprinting haha
yaaa tho like 90% of my commissions come from the same people, which im honoured though cause that means im doing a good enough job that they keep coming back haha
but i wonder how to get outside of the demographic i already have to reach new people, or if im doing all i can already in terms of advertising myself
i don't know forming a business is so complex so its difficult to approach it in any way other than try your best to o good work and hope the work speaks for itself ;-;
Tbh it depends on whether or not you want to get dragged into fetish hell, or not
Granted I’m biased and think your work is great for the price
i mean im fine with fetish art as long as it doesnt actually upset me, though i of course have limits like non transphobic art, not cub art, ect.
thank you so much aaa ;w;
like its honestly really tough
but ya its tough welps
cause sometimes ill look at people with the same skillset as me with MUCH MORE followers and i wonder if im doing something wrong that im not seeing or ya ;;-;;
i totally support the success of others also haha, just ya wondering how i can become more successful with my art and reach a lot of people with it
the fact that you're active here, on twitter, and instagram is def a good start, and you absolutely have the technical chops, not to mention your work has such a charming quality to it. continuously putting your work out there and maybe creating additional kinds of commission types can only help!
the tattoo style you've been working in is really nice and fresh, maybe consider branching into apparel/merch design with that visual style??
YA i started a screenprinting class so im gonna start offering stuff through that soon huhu >:3 SO MERCH WILL BE COMING SOON HEHE
i know i dont have to do taxes cause i don't make enough to have to count that kind of shit but ya im mostly concerned that im not doing something right in terms of advertising cause i don't seem to have much of a following despite how much art i post
or maybe i am doing all i can and just haven't been as lucky as other people have in terms of reaching an audience??
I know on paper youre supposed to like:
- post something every day if you can manage it (better to post 1 thing per day than a lot of art at once n then nothing)
-try to post during ppl's active social media hours (like not super late or early)
maybe try making fanart for something or someone popular ? i think the best thing to do is find something that you can do quickly & easily and sell them for pretty cheap. i usually try to make 15-20$ an hour using this method....20$ isnt a big ask for most folks....
i try to RT your commission posts when i see them!
ya i prefer to do a lot of small pieces anyways so i usually try to offer smaller things for people and cause then more people can afford it ;w;
thank you so much for all your support its so sweet ljaslj
