I only made an FN just for backup.. it looks weird but that's what I said about FA when I started using it. It'd just take time getting used to but I really don't see myself using it too much to even learn the efficient ways of doing things on there

I haven't had any luck with commissions so far either, but I haven't advertised much at all.

I have a FurryNetwork account as backup as well, it's more of a social media/art site combo and I think it's got potential but yet again the only drawback is less active members. I'm on quite a few other furry art sites and many of them have great tools but lack a large, active user base, which makes changing sites practically impossible for commissioning artists.

I'd recommend it as a backup, get your art out there on other sites to get the people who might not have seen it before and hopefully someone there will want a commission.
