Question for all of you over 300 years old

yes you read that right.
Im talking about spiritual reincarnation. Some folk believe wholly and truly that they are an eternal spirit of some sort.
I know one man who thinks he is an ageless demon.
I know another who claims to be a heavenly spirit, a Unicorn to be more specific.
Now, I entertain these ideas, I believe a soul can last longer than its corporeal vessel.
But how do you KNOW?
How in your short span of time in this human body and limited mind do you KNOW that your soul is older?
To be honest theres been a few I talk to where they go on to the point where I just can't believe them. like, I feel like Im just entertaining a fantasy.
So for those of you who know with all that you are, what you are... my question is, how did you come to that knowledge?

the long answer; well, its pretty complicated but it all boils down to what you believe. of course no one can actually prove that your reincarnated soul is so old, or that in a past life you were a demon. but fortunately for people that do believe in these things they don't have to. the fact that they accept this as true is well enough for them. If you look up faith in the dictionary the second definition is "belief that is not based on proof" so, yeah if you accept that you have a soul and that it was at one point in time a flying purple poka dotted spaghetti monster, then that's perfectly valid.
I'd also like to take a moment and clarify that i don't believe in any such thing myself :'D
Other than that, I sometimes dream hyper-realistic stuff, only for brief moments, which appear to come true about 5 years later. After I've had a dream in which I've jumped out of the way of a train, only to still get hit (which I've incorporated in my backstory for my OC) on the legs, blacking out afterwards, I have never slept well. I have never dared to dream no more. That was 1 - 2 years ago...
Why do I mention that? Because no matter how skeptical I may be, how sure I am that there are no higher beings, supernatural stuff still seems to happen around me, even though it's only faintly. Through which I do believe that those memories may actually be from past selves, and that time may be even more complicated than they say in Doctor Who...
But we still both thought it was crazy
