I may or may not revive this gallery. I have been thinking about it lately. I’m not sure where this site stands on certain things. Some of the rule changes took time and too long to implement which made me a bit irate with this site. But ultimately, I’m just throwing my hands up of me needing a gallery site that’s well known until something better comes along. There’s no clear indication of a new art site yet. So I’m thinking I may as well use something that’s still good and passable until then.
Just to be clear I don’t hate FA or anything. I just have some takes and also something personal on how I represent myself and I don’t identify myself as a furry or even furry adjacent. The community has been nothing but wonderful and supportive with its typical splashes of drama or sides that are not so great just like any other community or fandom. I have nothing but praise and appreciation for those that have supported me or came to me for work that I’m always going to adore for helping me over the years. I just want a site that encompasses and not something specifically concentrated on a social demographic and also not supportive or tolerant of any A*. Inkblot I have sort of looked at but it’s not getting much traction as far as I can tell.
But I have been entertaining the idea of a fresh start here. I’m thinking of only submitting personal works in my gallery whereas commissions may possibly not be included. I can leave it up to clients to post the work I do for them with credit back to me and reference. I just want to redirect myself and represent myself the way I want to be seen and what I’m known for over just only having client work. I want more of ME out there. It was a pigeonhole that I got myself in and need to climb out of.
It’s been on my mind recently and something that gets me away from Twitter/x a bit but I use it still out of habit as Bluesky is competing and would like for that to take over if it can.

It's always tough for alternatives to take root, especially with the cost of hosting images pretty high. The only other alternative site I use is Aethy, but it's a Mastodon instance. However, I understand folks may not be keen on using it since it permits all fictional content. (but has a mandatory CW system for anything above G or fetishy. And the owner is proactive about banning A* or bad actors.)
But ya I’m just wanting an “art site” until something that I find ideal and popular with good traffic for me to find a home in. I’m just tired of it all and don’t know what else to do lol
