Anthro Northwest
Anthro Northwest is Seattle, Washington's, "northwest" convention for the continental United States. Since 2017, it has catered to the furry community on the West Coast in an embrace of the spirit of the Pacific Northwest. It adopts themes such as adventurism, exploration, imagination, friendship, and wildlife. In 2016, the "Dream of Anthro Northwest" video on Youtube declared that Anthro Northwest "built upon the best attributes of the anthropomorphic arts community," defined as "'creativity, charity, beauty, and hospitality.' The focus of ANW is art, education, and building community."
During its first convention, Anthro Northwest 2017 "Pure Imagination," This Is Life with Lisa Ling filmed an episode titled "Furry Nation," which covered the convention and painted the furry fandom in a positive light.
Throughout its inception, Anthro Northwest has worked with the Sarvey Wildlife rescue group, raising over $16,000 for the charity organization.
Anthro Northwest holds several distinguishing events at their conventions, including a Thanksgiving fest, film festival, fine arts room, art jam, and even a children's track for younger furries. They also host their own VRChat world and portals.

Anthro Northwest launched its sixth convention, embracing a marriage between Andy and Cove, its two mascots. It partnered with WaterWolf and a number of volunteers throughout a number of VRChat participants and groups (including myself and
Littlfire15 to set up and host a VRChat portal!

Anthro Northwest returned for its fifth convention, and partnered with Tailbass to host a VRChat portal!
Anthro Northwest VR, "Endurance," December 26, 2021
Aside from the in-person convention, "Friendship," held through November 18-21, 2021, at the Hyatt Regency Seattle Hotel, a one-day VRChat convention was held on December 26, 2021, titled "Endurance," and showcased the panel and music livestreams from the previous "Friendship" convention.
The convention was held on the Anthro Northwest island, which featured a large campground hosting a scavenger hunt, wolf plushie hunting spree, farmhouse, camp sites, waterfall, hot springs, and an indoor cave dance room. Andy, the wolf mascot, attended, bringing smiles to everyone who came together for a day of fun, dancing, and even snowball fights!
