Volunteer Opportunities
OUTREACH & EVENT VOLUNTEER
Individuals, businesses, and organizations that help serve our clients and families in a variety of other ways, such as: Organizing toiletry and supply drives through your church or community group; Organizing seasonal or holiday donation drives for items including food, coats, winter clothing, and school supplies; Assisting with special events, mailings, or other administrative support as needed.
WORKPLACE ENGAGEMENT VOLUNTEER
Workplace Engagement and Corporate Volunteer Opportunities support your place of work’s community engagement. Whether its assembling safety kits, participating in national awareness events such as Point in Time or Out of Darkness, taking training to be better mental health advocates, or having a workplace gift drive, let EveryMind work with you to achieve your company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals.
LINKAGES TO LEARNING VOLUNTEER
Support homework clubs, ESOL classes, and other after-school activities. Play an essential role in helping children and their families overcome difficulties such as unemployment, which may impact a child’s ability to be successful in school. Volunteers support EveryMind’s 11 Linkages sites by serving as homework helpers, childcare providers, or by providing ongoing programmatic support. Student service learning hours (SSL) are provided for students.
988 LIFELINE VOLUNTEER
AT CAPACITY
Serve as emotional support/crisis intervention specialists for a 24/7 confidential lifeline as well as text and online chat services. The hotline is staffed primarily by volunteers who provide confidential and supportive listening; crisis prevention and intervention; and information, referrals, and resources. Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
