  • Cobalt Comet's Family Loses Everything in Devastating House Fire

Fellow Friends and Bronies, I come to you today with some truly terrible news. This past Monday on the evening of the 27th of December, my parents' home, the home I had grown up in, was completely lost to a devastating house fire.

Besides their camper sitting nearby, my parents lost everything in the fire. Most of their beloved pets, including their dog "Pup", who they were extremely close to and had raised from a puppy, all their belongings, the entire house itself, even my grandfather's ashes. The fire took everything. My sister put it best; "How so much can become so little so quickly". Even my father, a man not known for tears, was sobbing when they arrived at the scene, him shouting "Pup!". That, along with seeing the entire house engulfed in flames, will no doubt forever haunt my memory. This has shaken my family to it's very core like nothing we have ever experienced before. Even as I sit here and write this, I struggle to find the proper words that begin to describe the sense of loss my family are currently struggling to come to terms with.

Friends have come forward to help us with what they can and we are so extremely grateful to everyone who is helping to provide aid through what is, without a doubt, one of the most difficult times we have ever faced. In addition, we have set up a GoFundMe campaign in the hopes of helping my parents begin to rebuild their lives again. I would like to say I'm not begging, but in reality, I suppose in a way I am. We are striving and doing as much as we can to try and reach our goal. Even if you can't donate, spreading the word is extremely helpful too. We are eternally grateful to everyone who has and continues to assist in helping us piece our lives back together after this tragedy.

  • GoFundMe Fire Relief Fundraiser for Tyler (SnowflakeIRL) and Miriam (MaudIRL)

This one really hurts. (Donate here)

Tyler and Miriam—a.k.a. SnowflakeIRL and MaudIRL have been staples of the Brony Convention circuit for years now. The cosplaying duo have been to conventions all over the country, volunteering their time, what little financial resources they earn, and energy to making sure each and every single event is something to never forget.

They are two of the kindest souls you could ever meet.

This past weekend, on the day SnowflakeIRL was planning to propose to MaudIRL, her father received a phone call from their local police department. Their house was burning down.

The GoFundMe Campaign goes into extensive detail about what happened, but the short of it is this: they lost everything.

If there is one thing the Brony Fandom is known for, it's our unparalleled level of generosity. For two people who have given so much to this community, now would be the perfect time for this community to give back.

If you can afford it, please consider donating to their GoFundMe Campaign. If you cannot donate, please spread the word on social media. Together, I know we can help these two get back on their feet.

  • GoFundMe For MLP-MSP Founder

It seems a person who helped out creating a place of enjoyment for many in the community is in financial trouble.

MLP-MSP was a My Little Pony convention that started in 2014 and ran for three years in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area. The convention has since folded and due to unfortunate circumstances the financial responsibility has fallen solely on Chase, one of the founders.

As of this moment Chase cannot keep up with the payments and possibility could end up homeless. Therefore with the help of Ponyville Ciderfest con chair Charlie Worthley a GoFundMe has been set up to support Chase

  • Toys R Us Liquidation Delayed and MGA Entertainment, Inc. CEO Launches #SaveToysRUs GoFundMe Campaign

The Liquidation Sales for Toys R Us did not start on Thursday like had been previously reported by every single news organization in the United States. Today the Chicago Tribune reports the liquidation sales were pushed back to Friday. Equestria Daily will keep you posted on any changes in Liquidation Plans as they occur.

In other news, The Bankruptcy of Toys R Us's Saga took another unexpected turn today. As of 12:00 AM EDT this morning, MGA Entertainment Inc.'s CEO Isaac Larian launched a GoFundMe campaign to, well, save Toys R Us.

The campaign is looking to raise $1 Billion in an effort to outright purchase more than half of the 735 domestic Toys R Us Stores that would close under the current liquidation plan. To kickstart the campaign, which has a final deadline of May 28th, 2018 (Memorial Day), Isaac Larian and a group of his investor associates have already donated $200 Million to the cause.
