Discovery Family has released the September schedule earlier than usual this year. With it came four new episode synopses for episode 19 to 22.

The final schedule in Australia has been posted, confirming that they will be finishing the Rnglish language season off on the 8th and 9th of September. As always, we will be covering them as they air on Friday and Saturday, with the early morning warning to get you all prepared.
The USA schedule continues it's once a weekend release, while the entire thing will be out in Sweden and Denmark early following the dump from france. Expect subbed versions of those too from the looks of it.
All episode posts can be found over here.

Australia will be continuing their quick release of two episodes a weekend all the way up to episode 24 as revealed by new TV listings over there. It's probably a good guess that the finale will also take place in order, but we still need to wait for the actual time release on that one.
Expect Sounds of Silence and Father Knows Best to be our pairing for that weekend.
Thanks to Ethan and Andrew for the heads up.

France: Hey Ikealand, we heard you were releasing pony episodes early this month.
Ikealand: Yeah, we figured it would be hilarious to watch the pony fandom meltdown. And think of all the sausages we can sell once people realize they will have all this free time for the next 8 months to eat them.
France: Woah there, sausages? Don't those cause cancer now?
Ikealand: Uhhh...
France: BAUGETTES. BAUGETTES WILL SAVE THE WORLD
Ikealand: But...
And then the next four episodes releasedSoo yeah. All episodes up to the 21st are now available on the french Tfourmax service. We've officially dumped the season. Will they stop at 21? Or is France going for a worldwide takeover? Find out next time on "This is the most chaotic season ever and what are you even doing Hasbro?"
I can only guess that this is a hit on Discovery Family or something. An attempt to cancel whatever contract is currently in place that ties Hasbro to them in the USA. There really doesn't seem to be any other benefit to releasing what is supposed to be a toy commercial that could potentially last half a year ALL AT ONCE.

You know what? I'm not even mad. Ikea pony is adorable. Just take the season Sweden. Take it, release it in glorious 4k in English, and just get it over with. Who needs episodes when you have that pony up there sneaking into your house and leaving piles of wood, allen wrenches, and screws for us all to create amazing furniture out of? Why bother worrying about finding things to post in our upcoming 8 month hiatus and the inevitable EQD patreon begging when we can just bury our heads in our brand new Ikea brand couch? Maybe we can skip that and just get a sponsorship deal going with them. Who wants daily lamp shade discussions and intelligent reviews on various kitchen implements? I know I do. Take the site Sweden. It's all yours.
Uhh, anyway... season 8 will be ending in August due to the reveal of the finale airing on the 28th and 29th. Expect a post about it, etc etc. You all know the drill by now.
Thanks to Ethan for the heads up.
"BUUT SETHISTOOO, SWEDEN IS MORE THAN IKEEEEAAAA!1!1!1!1one"
Don't care posted pony.

Because torturing pony fan sites by dumping entire seasons in a month is fun for some reason, we've got more early releases on the way. This time Sweden is leading the charge, with Nickelodeon over there airing all the way up to episode 24 by the end of August.
We don't yet know if they will have English versions like some other countries do. There is a good chance though, as they apparently request the original source language on other shows.
I'm just going to get on back to burying my head in the sand and pretending we aren't actually entering an early 8 month hiatus. Think happy thoughts... Your pony site will be fine... Yep...
We will of course have posts up for releases once they pass Australia. So expect those.
Thanks to Ethan for the heads up.

Austraila Continues It's Early Release Schedule with Episode 20 "The Washouts" on August 19th
by Sethisto
Because blowing through a season in 2 months seems like a good idea to someone, Australia will be continuing their release schedule of double new episodes every weekend. "The Washouts" will be following "On the Road to Friendship" with an August 19th release date a day later. At this rate, the season will probably be over in September.
And pony sites every cried while thanking the glorious internet overlords for patreon keeping them afloat.
Thanks to Martin and 44ever for the heads up.

The earlier than the US releases of season 8 continue as the Foxtel TV Guide indicates that episode 19 will be airing on the 18th this month, weeks ahead of the US release. I think at this point we can expect Australia to continue showing two new episodes a weekend until the season finishes, but we'll still keep you all updated.
Check on after the break for the screencap and thanks to Ethan for sending it in.

Australia to Air Episode 17 on August 11th
by Calpain
Looks like Australia is indeed going to continue with their earlier showings of season 8 episodes as scheduling from the TV guide on Foxtel would indicate. As such it looks like, at least for now, we might get the rest of the season early thanks to Australia broadcasting on Boomerang.
We'll keep you guys informed of any further episodes airing as we hear of them! Thanks to Maik and Ethan for the info.
Check after the break for the source.

Australia Airing Episode 16 on August 5th
by Calpain
Pinkie is keeping a close eye on the goings on with the Australian Boomerang schedule (and we've had a lot of Twilight vector art lately) and it would appear that speculations that episode 16, "Friendship University", would air on Sunday, August 5th after news that they would be airing "The Hearth's Warming Club" on Saturday, August 4th were true.
This would put it airing six days earlier than in the US so it looks like we have "Matter of Principals" and now "Friendship Uni" to look forward to airing relatively soon.
We'll be keeping an eye on the Boomerang schedule next week when we get to see another week into the future.

Things are starting to get a little worrisome as apparently the Boomerang schedule, which we reported to be airing "Matter of Principals", has added another episode to air earlier than the US.
According to the Foxtel TV guide episode 15, "The Hearth's Warming Club", will be airing on Saturday, August 4th at 8:30am (AEST).
While this will just be a day earlier (actually about 14 hours earlier due to timezones) than its premier in the US, what is more worrisome is that Boomerang airs two MLP episodes over the weekend period and have so far been following season 8 in order, meaning that there is a possibility on Sunday, August 5th, we could see the airing of episode 16 as well.
Are we facing a similar situation with episodes as last year? We'll keep you all updated on any changes to the schedule as well as any additions.
Thanks to Maik for sending it in!

More pony is always good. And apparently Discovery Family agrees, because their recent press release indicates that on August 4th we will be getting two episodes to really kick-start the second half of the season.
Since the weird order in which episode air-dates have been announced and aired can be quite confusing, we have listed the full schedule for July and August below the break, and the episode number Discovery Family has assigned to them.
-
Two days ago it seemed we were having a break from pony for a weekend, but it turns out there are no brakes on the pony train. Zap2it has just added Season 8 Episode 16 Friendship University to the lineup with an August 11 air date. This means we will have no breaks until at least episode 17.
Find the synopsis for the episode over here
Thanks to PaganMuffin for the heads up!
NOTE: Due to the 1 week gap originally present in the schedule, we erroneously labeled the episode airing on August 18 as episode 16, this has been corrected where applicable.
-
It seems we might be getting an early international episode airing in the upcoming weeks. According to the tv guides the episode Matter of Principals is scheduled to air on Sunday July 29 8:25am (AEST) on the Australian TV channel Boomerang.
Matter of Principals was produced as episode 14, but was moved to a later as of yet unknown episode number by Discovery Family. Australia airing the episodes in the production order will mean this episode will air several weeks before the Discovery Family airing.
Find a screencap of the airdate and synopsis below the break.
Thanks to PaganMuffin for the heads up!

This means that as far as the current schedule goes the show will skip the weekend of August 11.
Find the synopsis for the episode over here.
UPDATE: It seems we are getting an episode on August 11 after all. Making this episode 17.Saturday, July 14, 2018 op 5:49 AM

As it currently stands, no episodes will air on Treehouse before they have aired on Discovery Family, so it seems we will be avoiding the 2 episodes a week mess for now.
We will keep you updated on any changes in the schedule, but for the forseeable future it seems only Saturday will be episode day on EQD.
Thanks to GatheringDust for the heads up! -
It seems it's par for the course this season: the early releases might not be over yet! It seems we might be getting episode 24 to 26 episodes a little while before the USA airdate, this time from the country of Poland.
The current Polish airing schedule shows episode 24 airing on October 19 and episode 25 and 26 airing on October 20. Barring any schedule changes, this would mean we will get the Polish versions of episode 24 at least two days early and episode 25 and 26 at least a week before the US airing.
Thanks to Kuco for notifying us.

About a week ago, we reported on TV listings coming out of the UK, showing the rest of the season all airing back-to-back early. Expecting something strange going on, we kept an eye on it to see if anything changed. We are now less than a week from the biggest episode bomb pony has ever gotten, and it's looking like this is how it's going to turn out.
One thing has changed though, the season finale is no longer the season finale. They have shifted the episode "Top Bolt" further back to the following Monday, probably to allow two back-to-back viewing days for the two-parter. I'll put the schedule below for anyone that wants to avoid spoilers on episode titles.
-
Assuming the listings are correct, which so far all the leaked/early episodes have been this season, the rest of the season will be airing early over on the UK joining episode 23 earlier. Someone over at the episode scheduling area of Hasbro is going to get slap on the back of the head for this one!
It turns out, the UK airs the episodes every single day too back to back, so we have an insane week of pony coming up:
- Wednesday (October 5th) - Where the Apple Lies
- Thursday (October 6th) - Top Bolt
- Friday (October 7th) - To Where and Back Again Part 1
- Saturday (October 8th) - To Where and Back Again Part2
There is a chance that someone at Hasbro will see this and swap the episodes out, but if pre-existing deals can't be changed, it's looking like our countdown timer will be shifting to accommodate these.
Get screenshots below.
Thanks to CinemaQuestria and Mark for the heads up.
