16.Bullet And The Bomb (Live From St. Petersburg)
by Jürgen Tschamler (01.10.2007) Who doesn't know him: Udo Dirkschneider. The power voice, the Metal-icon, a living legend. Which doesn't make it easy to find a dividing line between Accept and U.D.O.. There are too many parallels between both bands. And you have to assure yourself that it has been 20 years already that U.D.O. have been around. This anniversary is being celebrated with a "Best of"-album, called "Metalized". By the time of this review it was only clear that twelve re-mastered classics (not re-recorded in order to keep the original spirit), as well as some bonus tracks will be on the album. So, the biggest hits won't be missing, such as "Man & machine", "Holy", "Heart of gold", "Animal house", "Thunderball", "Cry soldier cry" etc.. In addition to that, you get two unreleased songs, one live track from the Sweden Rock Festival as well as "Balls to the wall" in an acoustic/piano version! Rounded off by interesting liner notes etc., this should be a very worthwhile release for this jubilee – for newcomers as well as for old fans.
